Anyone else feeling whale like?

hazandduck · 25/10/2019 22:11

Yes I am @Savvysaz 🙋‍♀️ Just feel cumbersome. I do not want to wish this time away. But I do feel so unattractive lol. I still want sex and think about it a lot but then when it comes down to it I hate feeling my bump in the way it’s just not in any way a turn on!!

Savvysaz · 26/10/2019 11:34

Just feeling so unfit! I get out of breath easier cause I've gained weight I'm carrying way more than usual 😕 not sure how much gain is actual fat.

45andfine · 26/10/2019 20:58

Oh me too!!!🙄 I like the thought of doing all the things I used to do, but actually just end up getting frustrated because I am slow and breathless! And I look so fat, from all angles. No cute bumps for me. Just 360degree fat. PLUS had flu jab today and arm hurts and feel like I have cold coming on. On positive side, I am LOVING the baby kicks!

Savvysaz · 26/10/2019 21:49

Oh @45andfine that's not good! I found flu jab less sore than whopping cough 😳 I had the cold 6 weeks ago but am still suffering nasal congestion. Going to speak to my midwife about it to see if there's anything she can suggest that I'm not already doing. Try getting as much rest and fluids as you can and hopefully it'll pass you by after all

doublebarrellednurse · 27/10/2019 15:58

I've had nasal and ear congestion throughout the pregnancy apparently it's a combo of higher immune response and extra blood. Very bored of ears popping now!

45andfine · 27/10/2019 18:52

Me too!! Nose feels constantly blocked. Pleased to report that flu jab reaction has cleared up now!! Baby seems quiet though. Has anyone noticed a routine with their baby kicks yet?

Gohealthline · 28/10/2019 05:59

Hey, I want to join. And want to share pregnancy health information.

hazandduck · 28/10/2019 08:15

@45andfine I have started to get to that slightly worrying stage...where I sit and think hmm is baby quieter than usual? Every day! I forgot how soon this happens. I’m 26 weeks on Thursday and there isn’t a massive pattern just a lot of activity! Exactly like with my DD. I only noticed when she was quiet.

@Gohealthline when are you due?

bessie84 · 28/10/2019 09:58

Waves to everyone.

Im 27+1. An hour into sat twiddling my thumbs having the GTT done. Its crap! Ive never had diabetes with any of my other pregnancies, so hoping this one is same, just have mega giant babies! Anyone else having it done?

I also feel whale like. Ive ballooned over last week or so.

And also get anxious over movements too.

Its monday again, weeks seem to fly by yet this pregnancy is lasting forever. X

45andfine · 28/10/2019 10:08

@bessie84 I'm having test on Friday, how long will you be there?! I had one with dd3 but it was 14 years ago and don't remember much, other than loving the quiet time 😂. They didn't bother with dd4, assume it's age related this time around. How long do you wait for results?

45andfine · 28/10/2019 10:09

@hazandduck exactly that! Maybe it'll settle into a routine in 3rd trimester. I was googling Doppler's earlier, but lots of scare stories about them 😫

45andfine · 28/10/2019 10:15

@hazandduck I just had to check but I'm also 26 weeks Thursday, we share 6th Feb as due date? Or am I counting wrong? 😂

bessie84 · 28/10/2019 10:18

@45andfine - got here 8.45am. Had bloods. Drank sugar drink straight down. Sit for 2 hours. More bloods at 10.45am. My arse hurts.

Results, within couple of days they said IF theres a problem.. wont hear at all if all is fine.

Hope yours goes ok. Id enjoy quietness, however, as its half term, a few ladies that are having it done have brought their kids along. Not good. 😳

Xx

45andfine · 28/10/2019 10:34

@bessie84 how inconsiderate of them!!😉😉😉. I might have to go back to work afterwards then 😏.... Unless the blood giving and high sugar makes you feel ill?!?!?

Quite fancied a long weekend 😂

bessie84 · 28/10/2019 11:14

They were running riot. Climbing on all chairs ect. They got told to move thankfully.

I felt ok after sugar drink. But makes some poorly.

Wait for results now. Eekk. 😳😳

Cupcakes1234 · 28/10/2019 14:09

I'm now 24 +2. Feeling baby move lots since 21 weeks and seeing my belly move. It's incredible! I had a wobble last week as I hadn't felt her all day at all so I phoned my hospital and they said I was too early to be assessed but to come in for them to do heartbeat which was nice and put me at ease and now she's back to all the wriggles. She said 28 weeks for a proper pattern and because I have an anterior placenta (which she was hiding behind) said it can make some movements more cushioned. I think sciatica pain is really kicking in now. Didn't have this with my first but it's really painful through the night until around lunch time. I've also got my Hypnobirthing pack and it's amazing. Can't wait to put it to the test lol 😂🙈

bessie84 · 28/10/2019 14:47

Aarrgghh. My youngest has hand foot and mouth. 😢😢 another reason to worry.

brightbird · 28/10/2019 17:00

@Cupcakes1234 What hypnobirthing pack have you got? Curious about recommendations!

OccasionalNachos · 28/10/2019 17:08

Whale-like? Yup.
Out of breath walking up a slight hill? Yup?
A little bit obsessed with baby kicks/punches/tickles —& also quite freaked out by it—? Yup.

Glad most people are doing ok, & Flowers to those who aren’t.

Anyone invested in a maternity coat for the winter ? I can still zip up a short puffa jacket & I have a wrap-style wool coat, I hope both of these get me through until the birth. The wrap coat looks a bit weird already & I might look like I’m wearing a tent by January though...

blondie87 · 28/10/2019 17:20

Hi! I’m due 2/03/20 but my previous two came early so I reckon I’ll be having a February baby! Is there a Facebook group for feb babies?

Meowandchoppychops · 28/10/2019 18:05

Due 20th Feb with my second. Feeling big already, especially at the end of the day when my bump feels heavy and tight despite wearing a giant tubigrip to support it (had Diastasis recti with my first)
Have you tried a coat extender occasional nachos? I had one last time as I could just about do my coat up right till the end but it was snug, bought one for baby wearing and it was ace.
Dreading my GD test, I don't do well when starved, especially this time when all I want to do is eat sugar and rubbish.

Cupcakes1234 · 28/10/2019 19:58

@brightbird it's the positive birth company. There's lots in there too with breastfeeding and birth preference templates too.
@OccasionalNachos I'm not sure how much they are but I've seen like an insert you can zip into your coat go get the wear from it still. I brought I really expensive heavy coat in the spring sale months ago and now heartbroken that it won't fit me lol but I'm going to look into one of those.
@blondie87 I'm in a babies due January/February 2020. Think I just searched it and found it pretty easily

hazandduck · 28/10/2019 22:00

@45andfine ooh yes we are due date twins! It is mad how fast time is passing but I also feel like I’ve been pregnant forever.

Oh no @bessie84 my daughter had that just after she turned 1 it was the illest she has ever been :( absolutely awful and terrifying! I hope your little one recovers quickly x

hazandduck · 28/10/2019 22:03

@OccasionalNachos no maternity winter coat purchased here but I can’t zip up my usual one at all 😂 I just don’t want to buy one for the sake of 3 months. X
