Good luck @sunflower2020 have everything crossed for you.

Everything at the midwife was perfect. I'm so relieved. She said baby was moving a lot though when she came to do the heartbeat. She said it's a proper little fidget bum lol.

sunflower2020 · 10/09/2019 12:36

Thanks @hazandduck and @cupcakes1234. Good to hear everything went well at your appointment. I checked with my midwife and my 16 week appointment is okay to stay at 19 weeks since I don't have any prescription meds or something? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Are you guys still taking Pregnacare or similer prenatal vitamins? I'm nearly done with my pack and not sure if it's adviced to continue? Midwife initially said it's important up until the 12 week scan..

Dweebette · 10/09/2019 12:46

@sunflower2020 I'm still taking tesco pregnancy support and will continue for the duration. Midwife said ss long as you're taking vitamin D throughout then you don't need the others but it can't hurt

bessie84 · 10/09/2019 13:30

@sunflower2020 - i take Asdas own brand pregnancy vitamins. Just cos really. Only £3.50 for 60 days so nowhere near as expensive as pregnacare

sulkysukey · 10/09/2019 17:54

Great news on the scans and appointments going well. Is anyone else getting crazy dreams? I'm 17 weeks today and have been having some really vivid/terrifying/odd dreams - getting a bit worried about going to sleep tonight Confused

PixieLoo · 11/09/2019 10:20

Hey all! I hope everyone's feeling good, I'm still waiting on my quad blood test results so I suppose that means no news is good news and I should get a letter soon rather than a phone call!
I'm also still waiting on my 20 week scan appointment letter hoping it comes soon so we can arrange days off! I'm 17 weeks today exactly 🤗

Dweebette · 12/09/2019 06:33

Just wanted to share some positive vibes this morning. I've been quite hard on myself the past few weeks as I've been gaining weight (a long standing fear of mine since losing a lot of weight over the past few years) and have been feeling like a bit of a blob. This morning I had a good look at my belly and noticed that my bump is definitely starting to get definition and I was reminded that my body is magic, an incredible human growing machine and regardless of how I think it looks, it is beautiful because it's keeping our little one safe and providing everything he or she needs to grow. I think we should all just take some time to remember that, we're incredible ❤️

hazandduck · 12/09/2019 07:53

Yes @Dweebette, totally agree!! It is so hard to come to terms with gaining weight in a positive way.

Ginny1234 · 12/09/2019 08:01

Thanks for that @Dweebette it's hard sometimes but your right, it's an amazing thing happening in our bodies and a few extra pounds here or there is irrelevant xxx😊

InOmniaParatus13 · 12/09/2019 11:43

Hey all just checking in.
I finally have a bump I’m so happy, 4 different people in shops have already asked me when baby is due 😁

I’m 99% sure I have another uti, I had to drop a urine sample off with the gp before work, and they will get the nurse to dip it and I’ll get a phone call if it flags up with any infection. This will be the 4th one this pregnancy alone if it is one!

I’m drinking 3L of water a day and my god I can’t stop peeing lol!

I have my 20 week scan on the 24th so I’m impatiently waiting for that!

PixieLoo · 12/09/2019 12:55

Thank you @Dweebette just what i needed to hear!

I hope you feel better @InOmniaParatus13 and if it is a UTI you don't get another!

I just had my blood results back through the post for my quad blood test, I had a low risk chance of 1 in 2021 (0.05%) so i THINK i feel better now, but still im such a worrier and i find it easy to focus on the negatives.

I hope everyone has a great weekend this coming weekend now we're over the first trimester and we can kind of enjoy our pregnancies a bit more!

sulkysukey · 12/09/2019 12:56

My bump seems to be appearing too @InOmniaParatus13 Smile Just had my 16 week appt (at 17+2) tho and it was just a chat/reporting results, no bump prodding or heartbeat listening - a bit gutted, was looking forward to that bit of reassurance... oh well! Hope everyone has a nice day and yes, we and our bodies are amazing! Even though I've done it before, I still can't actually get my head around new life starting inside me, it's nuts!

InOmniaParatus13 · 12/09/2019 14:32

Ugh another uti unfortunately, but I have 7 days worth of antibiotics so hopefully it will clear off soon!

@PixieLoo thank you! I really hope I don’t get another one after this! I’m glad you got your results through, they are really good! I understand where you’re coming from tho, I don’t think I’ll ever stop worrying until he’s safely in my arms!

@sulkysukey yay for bumps starting to appear! It’s crazy to think we are growing new life, we really are remarkable! I’m glad your appointment went well although sorry to hear you didn’t get to hear the heartbeat!

I’m 18+6 today and enjoying the lack of nausea so much! I also can’t stop eating spinach which is weird as I usually hate it haha. Nearly halfway through ladies 😁

lovesT · 12/09/2019 16:18

@Cupcakes1234 we have the same 20 week scan date 😊 can't wait but also think I'll be nervous nearer the time, hoping all will be okay! I also still don't know if I want to find out if we're having boy or girl 🤦‍♀️ husband definitely wants to find out!

I've also started putting on weight which I know is to be expected but it takes getting used to! I've been the same weight for a long time so it feels strange to see the pounds up on the scales .. but my bump is getting bigger too so it all makes sense 😊

Also feeling movements every day now! And I'm not sure it's supposed to happen this early but when they're really strong I can feel it with my hand, husband has felt them twice now too 😊

Cupcakes1234 · 12/09/2019 16:57

@lovesT what's your due date? I'm the 15 Feb so just shy of 20 weeks as it falls on a Saturday. My partner didn't want to find out this time but I did 😂 managed to finally talk him into it and we find out this weekend.
How lovely that you're feeling some good movements, I've had the odd kick but feel more rolling rather than kicks but it's not very often probably couple of times a day but my midwife said it's still early. It's so active though, she had to chase it around my stomach the other day and was going nuts on my 12 week scan too 🙈

lovesT · 12/09/2019 18:09

@Cupcakes1234 Mines the 14th! Three days after my birthday 😄👍 aww we're close then, I am feeling a bit more like I want to find out but I keep changing my mind! If my husband finds out and I don't I'm sure I'll end up making him tell me 😄

Yeah it's amazing feeling the movements, otherwise I worry that something is wrong! But heartbeat was good at 16 wk appointment so I think we just worry the whole way through 😊 can't wait to see them again. Enjoy finding out what you're having!

doublebarrellednurse · 12/09/2019 20:00

Argh sex scan on Saturday!!! Am very excited but work has kicked off massively and I'm so busy 🙈

hazandduck · 12/09/2019 22:59

I’m excited to hear what people are having, be interesting to see if there are more boys or girls due in Feb!

I’m on the fence about finding out the sex, but DH really doesn’t want to so we are going to wait. I did love finding out when Dd was first held up to me that she was a girl and look forward to that moment again.

How is everyone feeling? Am I the only one still feeling sick some days? It’s definitely subsided a little but I still have whole days of feeling rough! X

Cupcakes1234 · 13/09/2019 09:53

@lovesT we definitely are close then. I'm not holding out much hope for them to be early or even on time as my first was late and I had to be induced. As long as it's not 10 days over (like my first) and it lands on pancake day as I want my pancakes 😂. We find out tomorrow and I'm soooo excited! It feels like Christmas Eve lol.
I had some amazing little kicks last night! They caught me off guard and was amazing. It's what I've been most looking forward to.

@doublebarrellednurse what time do you find out? Our appointment is at 11.50 I'm so excited!

@hazandduck i keep changing my mind about what sex baby is but I'm starting to lean more boy. When my son was born there was definitely so many more boys than girls

Ginny1234 · 13/09/2019 12:27

@hazandduck we found out we're having a little boy 😊 we don't really mind either way but I was hoping for a girl because I can't think of any boys names I like! It's so much easier for girls.

I'm also still feeling sick but only in the late afternoons/evenings so I'm trying hard to eat well and exercise during the day time when I'm not feeling rough. Definitely much better than a few weeks ago though.

20 week scan next Thursday afternoon - not felt any kicks yet so really looking forward to seeing baby wriggling around.

bessie84 · 13/09/2019 13:01

Good luck those with scans. Too exciting.

Good grief, i feel shattered. Im 20+5 and exhausted. Wonder if im coming down with something or pregnancy spurt. Had a nap today and could easily go back.

Yey its Friday though.

PixieLoo · 13/09/2019 14:03

@Ginny1234 we are exactly the same, have a long list of girls names that we both like, but for boys names we are REALLY struggling so i bet we will have a boy too haha.

Hope everyone's scans go okay! Still waiting for my 20 week appointment to come through.

hazandduck · 13/09/2019 15:55

Aw congrats on your baby boy @Ginny1234 I am the opposite, we don’t have a girl’s name we can agree on, but we have 2 definite boy names we absolutely love. In my heart of hearts I do feel like it’s another little girl in there, I just picture us with two girls! We also have the 20 week scan on Thursday afternoon. Can’t wait to see bubba again, I’m feeling kicks all the time now I love the feeling.

@bessie84 I have been napping most days with my toddler lol. If I lay down with her even if I don’t sleep it really helps me with the sickness.

Happy Friday everyone 🥰
X

doublebarrellednurse · 13/09/2019 22:00

@Cupcakes1234 I'm at 11am and painfully excited now.

Ive had an exhausting and emotional week at work, one of the toughest in a long time, so I'm so looking forward to nice news
