Wow how are we on thread 5 already?!

Lovely scan photos today. I’m sat at the hospital waiting for my consultant appointment. No idea what to expect or what the point of it is but I shall soon find out.
Got my maternity clothes out last night. Found loads of trousers and bras which has made today the most comfortable day since my bfp!

@karryk same age as me, it brings so much worry, I'm 11 + 2 today and convinced something's going to go wrong. Scan next week

Please may I join? I'm 35 (36 when baby will be born) and pregnant with my first. Had my 12 week scan on Friday and my edd is 8 January. Very excited!

Hi can I join? I'm 9+6 today and this is my 2nd child. Have my booking in appointment but no date yet for my 12 week scan. I have quite bad health anixety and really just want to have it so I know what's going on! Had an early scan at 6+3 due to an ectopic scare and all was ok and they saw a heartbeat. Still feel super nervous and some days just think I'll get to my scan and there will be nothing there! This was a very unexpected 2nd pregnancy and I just cant get my head around it all. Sorry to splurge just needed to get it out hopefully to people that understand. Sorry also new to mumsnet so have no idea if this makes sense! X

@Mumof4andahalf good luck with your scan! Hopefully we can be shining examples of successful older pregnancies! A school friend had her second earlier this year at 42 as did my friend's sister. So it's perfectly possible but I know what you mean about the anxiety - fingers and toes crossed!

Is becoming an increasingly popular age in my area! I feel fine this time round, normal symptoms but no worse than other pregnancies! Plus side I have live in babysitters 🤣

Thanks @SleepingStandingUp just been such a roller coaster of emotions. Really feel the 12 weeks scan will help make it real and I can start to accept and relax a little. Didn't feel like this with my DS. Do they give me my scan appointment at my booking in? My DS is nearly 6 so this feels like starting again! X

Ooh what's the limit for the oldies club? I'm 38 when the babies are due, but will be 37 by a matter of weeks when they come

So excited and praying we can go all the way this time! It's a little girl.

We had four unsuccessful IVFs and were contemplating whether to do a fifth, try a donor egg or go down the adoption route when our natural little miracle totally surprised us!
Still can't quite believe it!

@SleepingStandingUp if you don't mind me asking do twins run in your family? Apparently more likely the older mum is? The sonographer on my early scan said don't be surprised if there's another one at 12 week scan!! Don't know if she was covering her self in case or if she knew more.

Is it bad that I just had to do mental maths to figure out how old I'd be when baby is born! I always used to think my mum and gran were taking the puss when they could never remember their age and now it's actually happening to me 😩

@Mumof4andahalf this is what happened to me so beware.... I think my Nan was a twin on Dads side but none of my Dads generation were and I'm the last of the grandkids to have kids and no one else has been erm, similarly blessed lol so think it's fluke

I had DS at 33 and I'm def one of the oldest in the playground atm (one a few years older, eldest is same age and one I think a few years older but her eldest is 14 not 4!) when the twins go to school they'll think I'm Grandma!!

I have my scan date! 18th July :-) looking like we might complete on our new house on the 19th so could be a very busy week!

@mrscatmad31 ooh good you can count the no of babies in there before you sign for the house!!

I'm sure I will be mistaken for nanny especially if I'm out with my daughter (she's 20)

Due 19/01, baby #4. I’m 35, will be 36 when baby is born.

I’m sorry to read about the 2 losses in our group, it’s so heartbreaking and I’m sending both you ladies virtual hugs.

I’m feeling rough at the moment, I can’t get comfy sitting, I ache when I stand. I just feel fat and bloated like anything. The sickness has calmed a little.
I have my dating scan booked for the 11th July, feels so far away 🙄😂

I have 2 weeks in Canada on the 23rd July, I’m paranoid at what the pressure from a long haul flight will do to the baby 😭 I then have Tenerife booked for October when I’ll be 25 weeks. Just hope the heat doesn’t make me too sicky.

I’m loving all these scan pics.

Me and my partner are going to have a surprise, it’s his first but my 4th, I knew with the other 3 before they were born so this Is my last chance of a surprise
