Of course you can post here @HungryPanda92, I am sorry you are going through this 😕

plipliop · 18/07/2019 17:41

@HungryPanda92 anyone can post here. That's what the thread is for. Did you have a blood test?

HungryPanda92 · 18/07/2019 18:11

@plipliop @sleepingstandingup they did a blood test but the consultant was in a meeting so couldn't speak to us about it. She's just called and basically said because the measurement is so high they won't be able to get a result anyway so bloods were basically pointless and even if they can it will definitely come back very high risk. She said "baby looks very poorly" and that the fluid has spread into the lungs and chest which isn't good. They've referred me to the bigger hospital in Sheffield as they have specialists there who can help more. I should be getting another scan next week to look at baby again and talk through cvs and amniocentesis with the Sheffield foetal medicine people.

plipliop · 18/07/2019 18:17

@HungryPanda92 this must all be such a shock. I'm so sorry x

HungryPanda92 · 18/07/2019 18:19

@plipliop honestly I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Can't stop crying and got myself three sharing bags of sweets and a tub of ice cream to eat my sorrows away!

lifesnotaspectatorsport · 18/07/2019 18:29

@HungryPanda92 I'm so sorry your scan didn't go well, fingers crossed there may still be a positive outcome for you

SleepingStandingUp · 18/07/2019 18:48

I'm sorry Hungry, it's good they're referring you over to Sheffield but gosh that's a long week for you. Hopefully you get some answers and hopefully some hope too x

splishandsplash · 18/07/2019 19:35

15 weeks +2 today and I'm so fed up of feeling so rough, still struggling with food at dinner times
Had a weight check in as I'm over 35 Bmi today and found out I've gained less than half a pound since finding out... I realise this is good but it's also a little worrying that I've gained so little.. anyone else in the same boat?

Morris26 · 18/07/2019 21:31

@splishandsplash well I've lost 8 pounds since getting my bfp, I'm now 12+2 and weight has gone down to 9.1stone normally I'd be happy but I think I would be happy to start putting on a little now! Still so bloated though that can't do up my jeans! Looking forward to getting a proper bump!

primarywoodle · 18/07/2019 22:34

@hungrypanda92 im so sorry youre going through this. I had a v high nt measurement with my first dd and ended with a tfmr.

Did they mention anything about hydrops or a cystic hygroma? If yoy havent already give ARC a ring and have a chat about what youve been told - they are amazing, so supportive and informative.

Hope you have lots of real life support and were here if you need it xxx

anitagreen · 18/07/2019 23:51

@HungryPanda92 sorry to hear your post on here do you have any support at the moment? X

Anoushka1986 · 19/07/2019 01:53

Hi all,

New to this thread, due 22nd of Jan, having a boy!

Sorry to hear your scan didn't go well @HungryPanda92 , that's really heartbreaking x

HungryPanda92 · 19/07/2019 03:16

@primarywoodle yes they did say thats what it was. Its all a blur atm.

@anoushka1986 My partner is doing his best to look after me but he doesn't really know what to do with me haha. Keep spontaneously breaking down in tears.

Cindy61 · 19/07/2019 04:07

@HungryPanda92 I'm sorry you are going through this. my nt is not good enough and am waiting for more test next week. Hope you have all the support you need. Cry if you want to, I did on public transport. Thinking of you. Xxx

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 19/07/2019 06:53

Hi I'm here to join! 13+7 today, so technically 14 weeks? Is that how it works?

Due 17th Jan. No morning sickness, no cravings. I've just been extremely tired (falling asleep at work) and constantly hungry.

Cant wait to find out if it's a girl or a boy!

Against everyone's advice on mumsnet we have started buying too, only a couple of bibs and booties. But we plan to start buying all the big nursery furniture next month and stocking up on nappies and wipes ect. Everyone said not to buy anything until after 30 weeks but I would have to have to rush out and buy everything in one go. I just want to pick up bargains when I see them. Grin

Bentley111 · 19/07/2019 07:14

@HungryPanda92 thinking of you? I'm so sorry. I hope this week passes as quickly and painlessly for you and they're able to give you some hope xx

Welcome @Anoushka1986 & @PoppingOneOutIn2020

@splishandsplash I'm 15+2 today and have gained 1 pound since finding out. I think a lot of it is sickness and just not being able to keep anything down.

Also, I've booked a gender scan for next Tuesday (I'll be 15+6 not 16 but they said that would be fine) - DH thinks we have a joint blood screening test at the GPs 😂

karryk · 19/07/2019 08:44

Sending love @HungryPanda92 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

DaisyMay25 · 19/07/2019 08:50

@HungryPanda92 so sorry. I hope they fast track everything so it's not dragged out.

@PoppingOneOutIn2020 I could not wait til 30 weeks, seems impractical to me! I like to be organised! I've bought over half the stuff we need already. I have a list of everything I want and buy it when I see it on offer.

@Bentley111 that's exciting! I think some places do it from 15+2 I've got mine tomorrow!!

Lollypop10 · 19/07/2019 09:32

@HungryPanda92 I’m sorry, hopefully you will get some answers really soon. Good luck x

SleepingStandingUp · 19/07/2019 10:20

@PoppingOneOutIn2020 30 weeks is crazy, DS came at 35!!

megganonion · 19/07/2019 11:39

I agree!! Waiting to weeks is madness especially being due so soon after xmas! Ive just ordered my moses basket this morning, was in the baby shop yesterday and fell in love with it couldnt resist! I dont plan on buying any more until after my gender scan in 2 weeks. I need very little of its another boy and if its a girl ill need clothes and blankets. I will be using all my stuff from previous babies even if they are all 'boy' themed 😂

Camomila · 19/07/2019 11:40

HungryPanda92 I'm so sorry xx

I'm 12+4 and have lost 1kg. Bit worrying as my BMI was only 19 to start off with. But I was similar with DS and he was born an average weight so I'm reassuring myself that the baby is fine and leeching off all my nutrients.

2nd baby for me so I don't really need to buy anything, especially as all DSs baby clothes were pretty unisex. Shame though as it was fun choosing things last time.

BowiesJumper · 19/07/2019 11:50

Last time I didn't really buy anything until after the 20 week scan.
I agree 30 weeks feels a bit late!
We have all the big bits and clothes still, so don't really need to buy much this time! I have a boy and my sister has had a girl so we're covered for clothes!
Still have the snoozepod, sleepyhead, clothes, car seat, pushchair, bouncer etc etc. Will just need nappies and wipes and chew toys/own toys I think!

BowiesJumper · 19/07/2019 11:57

@HungryPanda92 I'm sorry to hear your baby is so poorly. I hope you get some support and answers when you go back. Lots of love x

Camomila · 19/07/2019 11:59

BowiesJumper can i ask where did you put/what did you do with your sleepyhead? Lots of my friends had one but I'm not sure what exactly they are for Blush are they for day time naps or for putting on an adult bed to cosleep?

DS was jaundiced for a long time as a new born meaning he stayed asleep wherever I popped him down so I never looked into any of the sleep gadgets.
