@Mirana it is a massive turning point, I didn't want to really believe until then. We went out and did shopping and now I have little person things in my house....however a week on I don't believe it again 😂😂. I don't have much of a bond with my fat belly yet x

@Mirana I still forget! I've bought quite a bit already though! Asking about the placenta is a good shout, I completely forgot and wish I had! Best of luck for your scan.

Got my private scan in 6 days to find out boy or girl! I secretly hope girl (although I really don't care) but I just know it's a boy, I have a feeling!

I borrowed a Doppler from a friend and took me forever, I could only hear the placenta for ages but maybe to hear the heartbeat for a tiny bit before baby moved again!

@sleepingstandingup I tell it to pack in making me vom but no, at the min it feels a bit ridiculous because I don't have a bump and dont look any different.

@SleepingStandingUp EDD 26/01, so yep the 12 week scans will be closing out now!!

@McHelenz I just really flipping need a maternity bra but I've had a blanket ban on everything. Feels so strange to be at D-Day after 3 losses and so many complications.

Going to sniff the vodka bottle downstairs and hope I can get some sleep, thank God I'm the first appointment tho tomo!!

We had our 12 week scan today. Baby is 11+6 and looking very healthy and wriggly. Cheered me up so much after the horrible morning sickness.

What do we think, boy or girl? DH and I think another boy.

Had 12 week scan today! Baby was bouncing about! NT measurement was 2.8mm which seems a little high so keeping fingers crossed for a letter once the blood results come back as they only call if its bad news!

I've been meaning to post on here but haven't felt up to it until now, sadly at our 12 week scan we were given 1/2 odds for downs and 1/11 for other trisomies. I had a CVS and I wasn't too worried as I'd had a false positive result with DS. Unfortunately this time we weren't so lucky and the baby did have Downs. They were also concerned already about a heart issue and we made the sad decision to terminate the pregnancy. I feel ok now, very sad and scared about trying again but friends and family have been amazing. Good luck to everyone and I hope that you all have happy healthy pregnancies.

@DinoGreen I was just reading through the thread before I posted and saw your post about your scan. Feel free to pm me with any questions. I've had 2 CVS and I know the wait is horrible. I've also had good news once and bad news once. Just in case it helps first time I had CVS Thursday and I called on Tuesday 4pm to chase the results and they had them, this was with DS when all was fine. This time I had it on Friday and got the results Wednesday just before 12. I think they call you as early as possible if it is bad news. I hope that you do get good news, I hate to think of someone else going through this xx

12 week scan went well last week although baby was awkward and took ages to move for their measurements!! Due date is 1 day different now the 15th. We have told the kids and booked a private scan so we can find out the gender.

Anyone got any recommendations for baby name books?

@emma8t4 my friends were telling me about an app, kinda like tinder for kids name, you both get it and see what you match on! I thought it was a genius idea 😂
