It's their first baby, if it was me I would have been annoyed, and they are due before us. Will be nice they will be close on age though

My chubby bump 🙄😂

It's lovely you worrying about how they feel but at any point you announced (altho bloody hell you deserve to choose when, not have it spilt by the il's) it would detract from theirs. You might have your baby before them or yours could come a few days later and that could take it away from them/ Yours might walk first or talk first etc and they will always be compared.
Hopefully your SIL knows you're lovely and between you, can ensure both babies get equal time in the light

Kinsters · 06/07/2019 03:00

Yeah Daisy I don't think it's right for your DH to try and guilt you into it. Mine is super understanding and hasn't pushed at all.

You're probably right it's a combination of position and also me being nervous about hurting my hips/the baby.

Been for a swim this morning and it's lovely. There's lots of things I hate about living in Malaysia but having a pool in the back garden isn't one of them! I'll miss it when we move in September!

Bentley111 · 06/07/2019 04:59

Love the bump pics! I've definitely got something there but definitely not as pronounced as any of these!

With regards to sex, I think it's do what you feel comfortable. We did it twice, both before 6 weeks when I started getting poorly - now have a bit of a joke that DH is "off the hook" - now we've conceived he doesn't have to come near me 🙈 but I'm sure once I feel better we will try. I'd probably puke on him right now 😂

I'm home at my DMs for a few days - it was hellish driving here with the sickness but worth it. DM is literally spoiling me rotten and won't let me lift a finger, bless her.
Feels so weird laying in my childhood bed, pregnant Confused

mrscatmad31 · 06/07/2019 07:06

Yeah I'm probably worrying about nothing, my mil also basically said my sil would cope with a baby better than me (I had pnd with my DD) a few years ago that would have upset me but now I just shrug it off, I know pnd doesn't mean I'm a weak person.

Botanica · 06/07/2019 07:31

Morning all!
Off on holiday today so finishing up packing then on our way to Italy for 8 days. So looking forward to just chilling with a book and doing some swimming.

It's really made me realise how far we have come. In the early weeks of pregnancy I was so terrified of something going wrong that even going away for one night, less than a couple of hours away, felt a big risk!

I'm so looking forward to our break and so happy that I feel relaxed enough now to enjoy it! Feels like a real step forward...

mynameisMrG · 06/07/2019 08:59

Enjoy your holiday@Botanica, I’m jealous. A week doing nothing sounds immense right now.

After my rubbish day yesterday I was hoping for a lie in and a chilled Saturday. For some reason DS woke up before 7 (highly unlike him, he’s a really late sleeper) and my DH left early to go and help his brother move house. So I’m being a bad mummy and we are watching shrek

DaisyMay25 · 06/07/2019 09:08

For anybody who is starting to buy stuff, cath lodestone has some lovely changing bags in the sale and next sale started today!

DaisyMay25 · 06/07/2019 09:08

*cath kidston

McHelenz · 06/07/2019 09:16

@daisymay25 I've been eyeing up those changing bags! I don't want to buy too much in one go though...I'm in the queue for the next sale online. Hoping for maternity clothes!

DaisyMay25 · 06/07/2019 09:19

@McHelenz I'm tempted by them too, I haven't bought anything yet and I love cath kidston, I'm gonna pop into next tomorrow and have a look. Let me know what bargains you find!

SleepingStandingUp · 06/07/2019 09:21

@mrscatmad31 sounds like you've got a great MIL there, not

SleepingStandingUp · 06/07/2019 09:23

Found a comparatively cheap double pram yesterday - DH is NOT convinced £700 constitutes cheap. Oops.

McHelenz · 06/07/2019 09:43

@DaisyMay25 I had some bits in my basket then couldn't check out so gave up. I might see what's left over in the week x

mrscatmad31 · 06/07/2019 09:58

@SleepStandingup I can't complain she looks after my DD when I'm at work, I have just learnt to ignore those sort of comments

DaisyMay25 · 06/07/2019 09:59

@McHelenz that's very annoying! Hopefully they have stuff in store when you go

I took the plunge today and bought the daisy change bag from cath kidston.

Also I have stuff on websites I keep an eye on for price and the steriliser set is on offer for £55! So I bought that

Tommee Tippee Advanced Anti-Colic Complete Feeding Kit https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PSPQ3GS/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_8jgiDbCDN5G90

If anyone else is interested, I like the idea of the heat sensor in it too. I'll probably buy different bottle but I cant resist a sale!

McHelenz · 06/07/2019 10:01

If you're not on the Facebook group, boots parenting club have some freebies on the app. I picked them up yesterday.

Jealous of the daisy bag! Think that's what I want to get. X

DaisyMay25 · 06/07/2019 10:03

@McHelenz ooo thanks I'll get on that too!

£100 down but two items off my list!

McHelenz · 06/07/2019 10:05

@DaisyMay25 we are going to maybe get the pram today!! So I better not get anything else.

I'm hoping black Friday this year will be good for bits x

mynameisMrG · 06/07/2019 22:23

I’m lying in bed trying not to be sick. I’d love to blame it on pregnancy but the truth is I ate a huge piece of treacle tart just before bed. Live and learn.

Chips84 · 07/07/2019 11:36

Hi ladies, has anyone thought about whether they will do Nct classes? I'm looking into the options currently, and along with antenatal classes, I'm also keen on hypnobirthing classes. I found that mummas and beans offers a package that includes both antenatal and hypnobirthing classe, as well as a 6 week birthing course. And this package is only a little bit more expensive than just the standard NCT course. Looking at the agenda of the Nct course, versus the mummas antenatal classes, they look very similar. So I'm really not sure why NCT is so much more expense. Does anyone know what the difference would be?

Chips84 · 07/07/2019 11:39

*expensive

mynameisMrG · 07/07/2019 11:59

I did NCT with my first pregnancy. We had just moved to the area, both commuted for work, and didn’t know anyone. I was worried I would be really isolated once baby came. I’m not one for going to groups on my own. So for that it was worth it. Three years on we still see each other regularly. In terms of learning about labour and newborns, I picked up a few tips and things I didn’t know but none of it was illuminating. Most people I know did NCT to meet other new mums they could share the experience with. And at 3am when you are all cluster feeding, the WhatsApp group was well worth ir

McHelenz · 07/07/2019 12:08

I'm doing a different course to NCT which is ran by midwives. Called expecting antenatal classes.
