Chips, I live in Malaysia and it's pretty standard to get it done here so my obstetrician just took the blood and arranged for the test at my 12 week visit, it's just a blood test. Cost about £380 so quite expensive. We were told the results would take 10 working days and got them back on the 9th day.

Kinsters · 05/07/2019 08:31

Does anyone know how to un-bookmark posts? I accidentally bookmarked one on here and it's really annoying because when I click on the thread it takes me to that post rather than the latest ones.

SleepingStandingUp · 05/07/2019 08:54

I didn't even know you could bookmark a specific post...

DaisyMay25 · 05/07/2019 09:07

@Kinsters on the app you just drag the post to the left to bookmark so maybe it's the same to unbookmark, not sure about the web though

Kinsters · 05/07/2019 09:21

It's on the webpage. At the bottom of posts there's a bookmark button and I've never even noticed it before but over the last few days I keep pressing it all the time! Tried pressing again to get it to un-bookmark but no joy.

Oh well, I'll ask on site stuff.

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 05/07/2019 09:33

@Kinsters this was taken last week - can't really hide it anymore 😂

@Chips84 that's the same as the harmony test I believe - costs £350+ here I think (private only).

BowiesJumper · 05/07/2019 10:14

@Victoriaaaaaaaa wow! how many weeks are you? I started showing properly at about 20wks last time I think. I was much thinner then though!

Kinsters · 05/07/2019 10:22

Oh wow Victoriaaaa look at that! Definitely no hiding it!

mynameisMrG · 05/07/2019 10:25

That’s a lovely bump @Victoriaaaaaaaa, mine still looks like flab so I just look like I’ve put a stone on... which I have to be fair

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 05/07/2019 10:49

@BowiesJumper I'm only 13+2 🙈

I’m feeling very bumpy too and having my first ‘oh my god I look awful and nothing fits’ day so I’m going to go shopping later and see if I can get something to wear which doesn’t make me feel like a sausage coming out of its skin...

They're beautiful bumps xx

Kinsters · 05/07/2019 11:09

I agree, the bumps are beautiful! Have to say I loved an excuse to buy some new clothes though.

BowiesJumper · 05/07/2019 11:13

Beautiful bumps! I'm jealous
I'm just going to look like a big ball.

SleepingStandingUp · 05/07/2019 11:17

My twin bump feels a bit jealous lol altho given I started in a 40K in hoping my boobs don't grow for two!!

Ducky881 · 05/07/2019 12:30

Wow! You all have such lovely bumps! I'm 14 weeks and have a bump but nothing nearly as big like you ladies! It's my first though and I'm trying to hide it still as I haven't told work yet!

AstroKate · 05/07/2019 12:31

I'm jealous too! My bump is still mostly cake and chocolate so mostly just look fat at the moment! 😆

AstroKate · 05/07/2019 12:32

@SleepingStandingUp are those maternity jeans? I'm struggling to find any good ones as am quite tall. I've got some over the bump from H and M but they're so low-yours look nice and high over the bum area whereas all the ones I've got sag down to my crack 😂

beth3735 · 05/07/2019 12:44

My bump looks like fat unfortunately, it’s not fair. These bump pics are cute though

Botanica · 05/07/2019 13:28

I'm loving our new summer season of 'Bumpwatch'!

Mine is huge and very round some days and then just a little podgy pouch on others. Not quite sure what's going on but I must say I love it when it's big and round. I have wanted to be in this position for so so long!

However, there is one small issue in that I haven't actually told anyone yet, not even family! I'm now 14 weeks and not sure how much longer I can get away with it for.

We are away on holiday this weekend which should give us some breathing space but I imagine when I return at nearly 16 weeks it'll be quite visible.

My brother and SIL are due in the next two weeks so I feel funny sharing our news. Partly because I don't want to intrude on their exciting arrival, and (perhaps a little selfishly) I'd like a little space for our news to be celebrated since all our families had written off me ever having a family after four failed IVFs, losses and now being on the wrong side of 40...

I'm going to see how things feel once I'm back from holiday and take it from there.

Anyone else still got it under wraps from everyone apart from their partner?

DinoGreen · 05/07/2019 13:41

Lovely bumps @Victoriaaaaaaaa, @SleepingStandingUp and @Missmonkeypenny! I’m with @AstroKate, mine is just podge. I’m on holiday this week with DH and DS and luckily still fit into all my summer clothes, though some of my shorts are a bit tight and won’t do up for much longer!

@Botanica it must be quite nice to keep it to yourself. Between us DH and I have ended up telling quite a few people already so I don’t have that many left to tell after my 12 week scan next week! Just some of my friends and work (which I’m dreading).

BowiesJumper · 05/07/2019 13:45

@Botanica we've only told my parents and bro and sis. He hasn't told his family yet as they're away on holiday, and we haven't told friends yet either. It took me ages last time to be able to tell people too, I'm quite a private person and hate being the centre of attention, so find it a bit cringe.

We haven't told our son yet (he's 3), we want to wait until the blood test results first. And even then I'm not sure I want to say anything until after the 20wk scan! I couldn't bear to have to tell him the baby isn't coming after all. Pessimist alert!

Has everyone else told they're older kids already?

Missmonkeypenny · 05/07/2019 13:53

bowie my DD (4.5)has known since 7 weeks after our viability scan at the IVF clinic as she knew we’d been going to the hospital a lot to have help making a baby. She’s super excited and will be coming to our gender scan in 3 weeks time Smile it also helped her understand why mummy can’t pick her up any more rather than just thinking that I didn’t want to!
