Thanks all.... oh bless you @TheOnlyMrsA 😢 I'm am concerned but like @Mirana said, the midwife I have seems to be competent and efficient so feel like I'm in safe hands now. Anxiety is huge.

Sorry to hear you suffer with anxiety so badly Mrs A. im glad you've found a way to cope with it, sounds really hard.

Ouch @Kinsters curved spine + pregnancy sounds painful. No wonder you've been uncomfortable! Hope you find a way to manage it ok especially further along. I had a fracture to my spine a few years back but luckily hasn't caused me any pain this pregnancy so far.

Think I'm going to get some guanabanana today - is it only in Morrisons?

Mumof4andahalf · 15/06/2019 08:24

Anyone planning a homebirth? I've had 1 previously and planning to this time, home birth team are coming out to do my booking appt next Sunday!
Same midwife I had when I miscarried.

NewbieMam · 15/06/2019 08:27

Hello ladies just checking in new thread!
EDD 12.01.20
12 week scan booked for 4th July!

TheOnlyMrsA · 15/06/2019 08:46

@Bentley111 honestly your team are going to have it well under control and your baby is going to be healthy and happy.

@anitagreen i struggled with worry time because by the time I got to worry time everything had grown into bigger worries like 'Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY' 🤦🏻‍♀️

I also find I get irrationally worried about things that don't matter for example I got all upset about a toilet seat and a mop when we moved into our first home ... I was demented about them but the reality was I was anxious about moving out of home. So when you do find yourself being anxious about something seemingly silly try and think what else is on your radar that may be the root cause.

I hope everyone is ok today. I go for my boooking in appt at 9.30 am. This is officially the FURTHEST I have ever gotten in a pregnancy so positive vibes only today 💕💕

For all of you going through a hard time remember that it's going to pass. Yesterday I was vomiting on a bus ... today I'm eating cheese and apple for breakfast 😂😂

NoMoreFastCars82 · 15/06/2019 09:05

@Bentley111 I've never seen it elsewhere before, but I sent a pic so have a google and see if it comes up anywhere else 🙂

NoMoreFastCars82 · 15/06/2019 09:07

@TheOnlyMrsA lots and lots of positive vibes for you today hun!! 🙂🙂 x

@NewbieMam welcome and congrats ☺️

NoMoreFastCars82 · 15/06/2019 09:08

@anitagreen if we helped even a little then I am glad ☺️ and remember, today is a new day and a positive one x

Soph43 · 15/06/2019 09:13

I’m a bit jealous of everyone that seems to not be in Scotland 😂
I got first appointment at 5 weeks and asked a million questions then nothing untill next week for scan and fill bloods and breathalyser and everything in a oner!

Seems a little more spread out everywhere else! Saying that it’s maybe just our area?

Still nausea for me.. going to boots today for travel bands! Phoned drs and they were lovely and called me back and offered anti sickness tablets but said they won’t be 100% effective so it’s up to me.. would rather not take medicines if there not going to work how I’d like 🙈
Only in the evening do I feel horrendous so following many of you ladies in cheese sandwiches and cold dinners 😂 nearly over the first hump guys! Not long!!

Cannyhandleit · 15/06/2019 09:25

@Soph43 I'm in Scotland 😁 booking appointment at 7 weeks, did bloods, breathalyser, etc and then nothing till 12 week scan! I have another 3 weeks to wait 😩

Cannyhandleit · 15/06/2019 09:25

Actually booking was 6 weeks

NoMoreFastCars82 · 15/06/2019 09:30

What's this breathalyser thing?

Had my booking in 2 weeks ago and got bloods Monday and then private scan 🙂

Is it really bad I have just slept the best I have all week what with this swollen mouth and the pain and I've got up and first thing I've done is eat choc cake 😂😂😂 it's like my treat for enduring the excruciating pain since Wednesday lol x

Cannyhandleit · 15/06/2019 09:38

@NoMoreFastCars82 it's to check for traces of nicotine (or whatever the machine picks up). I never had to do it when I had my first baby in England but have had to do it with the last 2 in Scotland

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 15/06/2019 09:39

I’m in Scotland too, had booking appointment at 8 weeks then went back for bloods at 9 weeks (10 weeks in my last pregnancy), then I won’t be back till 16 weeks.

I’m 9+1, hoping I get my scan appointment through soon as will obviously have to arrange time off work/childcare etc.

Soph43 · 15/06/2019 10:12

I got my scan appointment through a week after my booking one! Was so fast but still was a long wait between 5-12 weeks 🙈
I think it’s maybe that’s there’s limited midwife appointments near me that they do everything in a oner then lol...

So long to wait!

Anyone else got like mega bloat! I look pregnant lol.. I had to order my maternity uniforms 🙈

Cannyhandleit · 15/06/2019 10:22

@Soph43 I am 9+5 and I look about 6m but this is number 3 for me and I do think a lot of it is just bloat as it goes up and down! I have ordered some maternity jeans as everything is so uncomfortable!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 15/06/2019 10:25

For nicotine? Seriously? 😂 I don't see the purpose behind it as if you smoked before you found out, like I did, then you stop like I did but you'd still have nicotine in you for a little while 👎🏻 I was just under 7 weeks when I found out and I never touched another after that, without aids or any help I did cold turkey x

mynameisMrG · 15/06/2019 10:32

It tests for co2 @NoMoreFastCars82 so it’s if you smoke and also if you have co2 in your house which is dangerous. I used to smoke and mine came up as 2 I think. The average is anything under 5. It’s a random test to throw in there I always think

OP posts:
BowiesJumper · 15/06/2019 10:51

Mine came up as 5 and I’ve never smoked! We do have a gas hob etc though so she just said have a window open when you’re cooking. Hmm

I got a letter saying my urine test came back as possibly having asymptomatic bacterium, which means a UTI without symptoms basically. So I have to go back in for them to test again and if I do have it take antibiotics. No blood results yet though.

Camomila · 15/06/2019 10:51

I had my booking in and bloods at 8 weeks, and i've got another appointment and urine test at 10 weeks, then scan at 12 weeks, and consultants appointment at some point.
Didn't get breathalised.

NoMoreFastCars82 · 15/06/2019 11:03

Well I've not had one and suspect they won't now so can't be something they bother about here x
Did have a laugh when the hospital rang to book my bloods as she was like 'they have to be before 10 weeks' and this was Thursday afternoon when I'm 10 weeks Sunday 😂😂 left it a little late really!! They've had to put up with Monday lol

Bentley111 · 15/06/2019 11:17

New low. Just had to jump out of the car to puke whilst dh went into the post office... people walking past and everything. I was mortified Blush

NoMoreFastCars82 · 15/06/2019 11:27

@Bentley111 oh no!! Not you as well x MrsA on a bus and you outside post office 😷😷 bless you both!! I'm glad I'm still being a lazy sod in bed... get up in an hour and do washing and hoovering x

McHelenz · 15/06/2019 11:27

The breath test is testing for carbon monoxide levels.

Cannyhandleit · 15/06/2019 11:41

I know they ran a scheme in Scotland a few years ago where they offered cash incentive to pregnant smokers to try and get them to stop so not sure if that's where the breathalyser came into it. I've tested zero on this pregnancy and the last and am an ex smoker that stopped with with bfp both times.

anitagreen · 15/06/2019 11:58

@NoMoreFastCars82 you helped loads I feel fine today still apprehensive of the what ifs but trying to look past it and focus on recovering maybe this is a relapse of anxiety I've got rid before I can do it again! @TheOnlyMrsA Thank You for your help too and good luck today x
