@mynameisMrG I had HG with my first pregnancy and thought I'd escaped it all relative well this time round! Apparently not 🙄

Bentley111 · 25/06/2019 13:39

Congrats @DaisyMay25 gorgeous pic & good luck @mynameisMrG

Welcome to the signed off club @Victoriaaaaaaaa I hope you start to feel better soon. It's so grim isn't it 🤢

Dh just called on his lunch break & said he was getting a pasty for lunch... that was it, like something went off in my brain, I had to go & get one. First time I've actually enjoyed & smashed a meal since I've been pregnant 🤤🤤 if this is going to be the only thing I can eat, I really am so grateful to live in Cornwall with a pasty shop on every corner 😂

Anon120 · 25/06/2019 14:00

Sorry anyone know how to private message on the mumsnet app? It's so clunky 😫 thank you so much xx

mynameisMrG · 25/06/2019 14:01

That sounds awful @Victoriaaaaaaaa

I have no nausea today but have the worst hay fever cough. Every time I breath in all I can hear is wheezing. Can’t wait for summer to be over 😕 it’s so miserable

Just had a call from midwife and blood test looked good.....im A positive and antibodies are normal....glad is a good news
I tried to book myself for cervix meassure as i had 2x LLETZ....imposible to get trough answer machine....

winter138 · 25/06/2019 14:38

@mynameisMrG I spoke to the consultant who scanned me yesterday about hayfever treatment. She said taking an antihistamine is fine so I've started taking cetrizine hydrochloride again as was taking it before pregnancy. I've been miserable without it!! She just said to take it at night as it can make you extra drowsy when preg!

Does anyone listen to woman's hour on bbc radio 4? There was a great feature this morning on telling people you're preg before/after 12 wks. I found it really helpful to listen to!

The link is below if anyone is interested and it started at around 31.52 mins.

That’s good to know @winter138 I will ask the hospital when I get there

Lovely to see everyone's scan pics coming through now, very exciting!

I'm 12 weeks today! Same as @mynameisMrG - good luck with your scan today! I've got another week to wait so I'll be 13 weeks by then... getting impatient now 😂 I've not even had a letter for it I'm just going off what the midwife has told me...

I've had a a few days over the last 2 weeks where I've vomited, I didn't vomit at all prior to 10+6 just had nausea... I thought symptoms were supposed to get better not worse?! Vomited 3 times today 🙈 also struggling to find anything I fancy eating! X

mynameisMrG · 25/06/2019 15:52

A very wriggly baby seen today! Good to know the drop in symptoms means nothing at all. Very relieved. Now to get to the 16 week scan and we can start telling people

megganonion · 25/06/2019 16:32

Beautiful scan @mynameismrg!! Are you getting agender scan at 16weeks?

mynameisMrG · 25/06/2019 16:33

Thank you @megganonion, no not a gender scan, I get scanned every four weeks. I lost two babies at 15 weeks last year so 16 weeks is our safety scan😊

Aw @mynameisMrG that pic made me smile Smile

Botanica · 25/06/2019 16:55

That's so sad to hear @mynameisMrG
Were they able to tell you what happened?

winter138 · 25/06/2019 16:56

Awww such a lovely scan and I am sure it was lovely to see so much movement too - now you can enjoy the lack of symptoms!!

mynameisMrG · 25/06/2019 17:00

Thank you ladies. No unfortunately @Botanica they couldn’t find any reason. In a way it was a relief but incredibly frustrating at the same time.

Congrats on the scans @DaisyMay25 and @mynameisMrG!

Sympathies to those still suffering with sickness. I hope it lets up soon.

I’ve only got 3 more days at work and then 2 weeks off on holiday. I can’t wait and am in desperate need of a break. My 12 week scan isn’t until 10th July so I’m not planning to tell work until I get back from holiday. Feeling guilt you though because my boss has called a team meeting on Thursday before I go and one of the topics on the agenda is capacity and recruitment ... we’re going to be talking about whether we should be recruiting another team member and as a small team my pregnancy and upcoming maternity leave is highly relevant to this question ... but I can’t tell them yet. Well, I could, but I don’t want to!

DaisyMay25 · 25/06/2019 19:17

@mynameisMrG your scan picture has disappeared! I saw it earlier though! Glad all went well!

My nausea has come back the past three days, I was brushing my teeth this morning and started dry heaving! I'm in the second trimester tomorrow so hoping I wake up feeling amazing (very wishful thinking)

primarywoodle · 25/06/2019 19:52

Hi all. Thanks for the good wishes over the weekend. Had my scan with the head of fetal medicine today, basically the bleak prognosis has some home. Nt measurement is now 3.4 not 3.9, and for the first time in all of my pregnancies I AM LOW RISK FOR TRISOMIES! still means nothing but its the first positive result ive ever had in a pregnancy other than the birth of my daughter haha.

So scans every 2 weeks now to keep an eye on everything and the structural development, she said its likely to be a genetic condition because it keeps happening but given that my daughter appears so healthy at 3 years old that it would be likely a very mild or inconsequential one. Didnt have the cvs but maybe an amnio if things dont look great at the next scan.

Sorry for the essay, havent told anyone in real life so needed to get it out!

And a big congratulations to all the healthy baby scans xx

mynameisMrG · 25/06/2019 20:25

That sounds positive @primarywoodle

I took it down @DaisyMay25 as I realised it had all my details on the top still🤦🏻‍♀️ Here it is with the top cropped
