Congrats on all the scan pics guys, mines a week today at nearly 13 weeks and I am climbing the walls! I know I only saw baby a week ago but I’d be in that private scan clinic every week if it wasn’t just a bit excessive Grin

My main symptom now seems to be this shitty pregnancy rhinitis which leaves me sneezing 50 times a day and horribly congested. That and my boobs are still super sore! I may or may not have started having very rude dream about other men but I’m not sure that is classed as a symptom of pregnancy

plipliop · 24/06/2019 17:48

@Mirana The first time I was pg, I ate spaghetti carbonara and it all came out my nose when I threw up. I still can't eat it 12 years on!

Mumof4andahalf · 24/06/2019 18:03

So pleased for you @winter138
Lovely scan pics today, I'm still waiting on a date 😢 might've 13/14 weeks by the time over it as quite a delay here

CatRash · 24/06/2019 18:10

Had my 12 week scan today and all looking good 😁 although placenta has formed anterior which I'm a little sad about as was hoping for prosterior this time but just happy baby is happy and healthy. DD moved forward 5 days to 1st January 😅

I have my suspicions over sex but interested to hear what others think?

Cat definitely looks like a girl nub to me!

Ohrobin · 24/06/2019 18:29

@catrash can I ask why you prefer the posterier placenta. First time mum here and just wondering what the difference is! Thanks

Missmonkeypenny · 24/06/2019 18:34

Ohrobin posterior placenta is at the back and makes feeling movements a lot easier/you can feel them from earlier. The anterior placenta cushions movements!

megganonion · 24/06/2019 18:34

Oh @splishandsplash that is one beautiful scan photo! I would have to say boy aswel going on the scan!! Congratulations x

Anon120 · 24/06/2019 18:37

@Missmonkeypenny omg I had the same naughty dreams 😂😂

mynameisMrG · 24/06/2019 18:37

@CatRash another beautiful scan photo!! I agree with missmonkeypenny, defo looks like a girl to me aswel!!
Oh all these scan pics im super excited for mine on friday... but very nervous aswel ive had a big drop in symptoms about 2 weeks ago.. no boob tenderness or anything just over emotional and heartburn. Im trying to stay busy instead of looking too much into it!!

Bentley111 · 24/06/2019 18:41

Congrats @CatRash agree with @Missmonkeypenny - definitely looks like a girl to me too!

DaisyMay25 · 24/06/2019 19:01

@CatRash same due date at me! Unless they try and change it tomorrow! Another vote for girl judging by the skull

mynameisMrG · 24/06/2019 19:09

I’m the same @megganonion, haven’t felt at all pregnant since about week ten. Makes me very nervous for my scan to be honest

Thanks @Missmonkeypenny, @mynameisMrG, @megganonion and @Bentley111 - I thought girl too and that's what ramzi theory on my 8 week scan indicated too.

Good luck for Friday @megganonion. I lost what little symptoms I did have around 10/12 weeks.

CatRash · 24/06/2019 19:25

@Ohrobin just as @Missmonkeypenny said really. I had anterior with my first and it made counting kicks harder and my husband couldn't feel kicks as much.

@DaisyMay25 Aw due date buddies 😁 Enjoy your scan tomorrow!

Botanica · 24/06/2019 19:59

So lovely to hear everyone's good news today!

I'm also joining today's 12 week scan club! All went well and the baby was very active which was lovely to see.

We've already had our NIPT Harmony results so know we are low risk for the trisomies but such a relief all the same to have them measure the nuchal fold and it come back small (1.2mm).

It's such a strange feeling having the 12w scab behind us now. Can't quite explain but it's been this elusive holy grail that we've been desperate to get to and although I feel profound relief that everything is looking fine, it just still feels such a long long way to the finishing post!

I'm determined to start finding some more confidence and assurance from here on now and try and relax into the pregnancy and enjoy it!

Good luck to everyone else with milestones this week. Will be thinking of you all.

megganonion · 24/06/2019 20:26

Im very greatful at the same time... was sick with my first ds to well over the 20 week mark and about 16 weeks with other 2 ds. Im just eating everything in sight this time round, baby will probably be a stone by week 40 😂 ds3 was 9lb and induced a week early, im a size 8 and 5ft 3 so big baby for me 🙈

Mirana · 24/06/2019 21:30

Beautiful scans everyone!!! I'm also happy for you all 😍😍

@plipliop Everyone who says "you'll forget it once the baby is here" is talking absolute bollocks, I will NEVER forget the vomit potato nosebleed as long as I live.

I have relented and think I will book a GP appointment in the morning. I think I'm on the edge of "okay", I kept down half a sausage earlier but I haven't been able to keep liquids down for 24h. Having ice lollies but they're making me heave. Have to take the dreaded pregnancy vitamins soon too which make me so sick, so my rehydration efforts are pretty pointless!! Going to see if I can try a really short course of anti-sickness to try and get drinking again. Really wanted to avoid it, but don't think I can avoid much longer 🤢🤢 I'm scared to leave it and end up having no fluids for too long and it being an A&E job. I'm not being neurotic am I?? I hate taking GP's time and never been in this position before.

Mirana · 24/06/2019 21:31

That was meant to say I'm so so happy! 😂😂

McHelenz · 24/06/2019 22:13

@Mirana completely agree. I had a pint of milkshake the other day (did not know it was going to be a pint or I wouldn't of bothered!!) and was so violently sick (in a mexican restaurant) it shocked me. It just kept coming and coming!!! I will never forget that....hahaha.

McHelenz · 24/06/2019 22:14

@Mirana Also, Ive got cyclizine - its really not a waste. I don't take the 3 a day, just one, and not everyday. It just takes the edge off when its really bad and gives me some sick free days like today. Make sure you take a wee sample when you go they want to check your ketones xx

DaisyMay25 · 24/06/2019 22:18

@Mirana I had to go to hospital for fluids, it wasn't as bad as I thought, I just laid in a room reading a kindle whilst I waited for the fluids to go in. My nausea has come back now too, not impressed!

I'm struggling with liquids atm so I don't know how I'll drink enough tomorrow. My scan is at 9:30 so I'm tempted to just not have my morning wee!

mrscatmad31 · 24/06/2019 22:25

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow, seem so far behind everyone having their scans but my due date is the end of January, only 9+2. Hoping I get a nice midwife, I think the one I had last time has left
