Had my booking in appointment, midwife is lovely, will be consultant led due to my age 👵🏻
Apparently I will have to be firm with consultants about what I want as they will push for induction at 40 weeks, im really against induction unless there's a risk to baby as I want a homebirth, scan is being rushed through as I'm dated 10 weeks by private scan but the hospital won't accept that as dates until there scan confirms so going by lmp I'm already 11 weeks!

cailinvelo · 23/06/2019 19:03

Hi ladies. Can I join you please?
I am currently 8+7, second baby. First DD is 2.5yrs old. I'm 35, tried for ages before the elusive positive result this time. Nervous as hell until the scan- wondering whether a private scan is an idea. 🤭

mynameisMrG · 23/06/2019 19:30

Welcome @cailinvelo, quite a few ladies on here have had private scans. I know I would have if I had t had nhs ones already. It’s a long wait until 12 weeks!

@cailinvelo welcome! I had one and it helped me to relax.

@McHelenz you've had plenty of nausea - that's a good sign!

McHelenz · 23/06/2019 20:20

@plipliop yea I thought that. I think it was catching up on here and seeing the sad news that has made me a bit worried. Think it just makes you realise how lucky we are.

Only a week to go, it's going to be a long one!!!

Anon120 · 23/06/2019 20:30

Random I know but has anyone/ is anyone else suffering from rhinitis? It is driving me absolutely mad and been made worse by hay fever symptoms but I've been up last few nights and it's leaving me exhausted. I just dunno what else to try - have had my head over a bowl of hot steaming water. Just worried as I definitely can't go to work feeling this crap

plipliop · 23/06/2019 20:50

@Anon120 you can get salt sprays from the chemist which are really good.

plipliop · 23/06/2019 20:50

(Sounds worse than it is!)

Anon120 · 23/06/2019 21:10

Thanks for recommendation @plipliop x

mumsey2be · 23/06/2019 21:58

@McHelenz @Ann334 wanted to chime in and be reassuring if i can. i had an MMC two years ago and its taken till now to be pregnant again and thousands of £ but any way, i wanted to say, my symptoms subsided around week 10 and i was terrified. But it was fine. So all chances are it will be the same for you x

MrsPandigital · 23/06/2019 22:09

@Anon120 is that a cold? I am suffering massively with a sore throat / cold / headaches / temperature . Which sounds so pathetic but it's wiping out all my energy ! I've had honey & lemon, lots of water and paracetamol...still feel awful though!

Missmonkeypenny · 23/06/2019 22:39

Anon I’ve had rhinitis for about 4 weeks now, it’s awful! My nose is a tap and I do blocks of sneezes in 4/5’s. I know it’s not a cold or hay fever as I had it with DD too Envy

MummyBearBoo · 23/06/2019 23:06

Lovely scan pics everyone!!got a scan tomorrow but it's with my genetic test so won't look at the pics til I get the results tho I will see it on screen just hope this one is a keeper!! Xx

beth3735 · 24/06/2019 06:15

Did everyone’s baby move on their scans please? Mine just lay there. The heart was beating but the baby didn’t seem to move at all. I was 10 weeks. I’m sure my others all moved around

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 24/06/2019 07:01

I thought my sickness had gone but been up all night being sick! Hate having to ring in work too 😩

Ann334 · 24/06/2019 07:07

@mumsey2be Thankyou that is reassuring. I’m only 8+6 but got a nice wave of nausea at 3am while I was awake worrying about how good I felt so it does bring you back to reality.
Sounds like you’ve been on a hell of a journey, you must be over the moon!
I’m loving seeing all these scan pics too 😍

Mirana · 24/06/2019 07:09

My sickness is back with a vengeance. So much potato came out my nose last night I had a full on nosebleed, and it seems regular for me to be sick every morning and every evening now. Not impressed!!!

Wondering what to do, I'm supposed to be in London all day tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ and my mum is being ordained Sunday morning and then there's a day of partying. I genuinely didn't expect to still be this sick at this point. I wouldn't ask Dr for anything, seems pointless for 1 day and not even sure drugs would work for only one 24h period. Yikes????

Anon120 · 24/06/2019 07:33

@MrsPandigital not sure! I think it's rhinitis as ive also had it for a few weeks like @Missmonkeypenny but I guess it is hay fever season! It's driving me mad..

mynameisMrG · 24/06/2019 07:59

Good luck today @MummyBearBoo

Yes good luck today MummyBearBoo! Keeping everything crossed for you.

beth3735 mine didn't seem to move much at the ten week scan. The Dr doing the scan said she saw it move but I couldn't see it, it just looked completely still apart from movement from me breathing/moving. It had a slow heart beat as well (only 114bpm). But at the 12 week scan there was no missing the movement and its heart rate had gone up to 164bpm.

I'd try not to worry about the movement too much if I were you, it can't be moving all the time and was probably just having a nap (or whatever they do when they're so tiny). Do you have your 12 week scan soon? x

MummyBearBoo · 24/06/2019 08:12

Thanks ladies!! Xx

beth3735 · 24/06/2019 08:17

@Kinsters thank you for the reply, I have my 12/13 weeks scan on the 11th July so not too much time to wait. Hopefully baby was just chilling and the next scan they’re moving a bit more 😄

Missmonkeypenny · 24/06/2019 08:56

Good luck Mummy!

Beth at my 10 week scan, baby was very active but the sonographer said that it’s very rare to see them like that and that the norm is that baby is still very still at this stage - I think we just happened to catch baby at just the right moment!

DinoGreen · 24/06/2019 09:02

@beth3735 at mine yesterday the baby was wriggling its arms and legs around but its body wasn’t moving. When I had my 12 week scan with my DS he was doing full on somersaults!

Good luck for your scan today @MummyBearBoo!

DaisyMay25 · 24/06/2019 09:22

Good luck today @MummyBearBoo
