They definitely don't @DaisyMay25 🙈 in fairness to him though he did very naively think that you just pop it out and it's a bit uncomfortable then all good. He had no idea about stitches, possible mobility issues from epidural, EMCS recovery...

Oh wow @Missmonkeypenny what a gorgeous little bump already!

Have you had any more blood @winter138?

Missmonkeypenny · 23/06/2019 10:14

Daisy Bentley when DD was born, I had no visitors to hospital and no one at home bar my mum who came to bring meals and collect washing for 5 days. It was bliss!

Also interesting you both say boy as I have had a hunch since test day that this one is a boy! I found out on 27th July!

Dino I had a bump at this point with DD although it was definitely more bloated looking, this is much more ‘I’m pregnant’ which I’m really enjoying but I wish the weather would make up its mind - I don’t know whether I need to buy dresses or maternity jeans!

Kinsters · 23/06/2019 10:44

winter138 try not to worry too much, some bleeding can be totally normal. Can you call your midwife and get seen at EPU tomorrow?

Missmonkeypenny beautiful bump!

plipliop I'm mostly wearing loose dresses, not specifically maternity stuff but I think they'll see me through fairly well. I bought some maternity jeans from Topshop which are so comfortable, haven't tried them out yet though as it's too hot.

Mirana · 23/06/2019 11:19

@winter138 I had the same panic last week and all was fine, I actually threw up after seeing blood (very anxious, insane sensitive gag reflex now). Have you spoken to EPU?

@McHelenz how was your week of tent life? You're a braver woman than me 😂😂

I'm off out for the day but my sickness is dismal. Trying to calm it before I leave but it's so overwhelming. My mum is cooking a roast so hopefully that goes down okay, I hate not being able to eat when others make the effort to cook 😓 I dont have a bump yet, just some bloating, but my jeans dont fit anymore so I'm living in leggings (9 weeks today!). First pregnancy that's gotten this far tho, so if bean sticks I'm not expecting to pop out until far later!

Bentley111 · 23/06/2019 11:20

@Missmonkeypenny that sounds like bliss 😍 all of my family live 3hrs away so think my DM will come down when I go into labour and go straight to ours, it will be super handy for her to stay with us as we have 3 horses & 3 dogs so she can look after them. I'm happy for mil & fil to pop their heads in once we're home & settled (only fair if DM is staying) but will have to be a short and sweet visit.
I am a little bit nervous of MIL swarming in and constantly offering unwanted advice (she expressed her distaste of BFing when I was pregnant last time - apparently it's not fair because I'll be hogging all of the baby's feeds????) but am very sure DHs protective instincts will kick in and he won't let that happen.

DinoGreen · 23/06/2019 11:34

Just got home from my scan, all good! I’m 10+1 today and baby was measuring 10+0, wriggling around like crazy kicking its teeny arms and legs. Feeling excited and happy and also quite overwhelmed!

mynameisMrG · 23/06/2019 11:57

Congratulations @DinoGreen

@DinoGreen what a lovely picture!! X

Mumof4andahalf · 23/06/2019 12:57

Congrats @DinoGreen very clear!

mumsey2be · 23/06/2019 13:40

Back from 12 weeks scan - baby measures 12 weeks on the nose - thrilled - was panicking a little as symptoms had gone down but its a happy bean!

Congrats on the scans Dino and Mumsey, they're lovely.

Bentley your MIL sounds nuts. Hogging the baby by breastfeeding?! What an attitude. Glad your DH is on side.

SleepingStandingUp · 23/06/2019 14:41

Back home in the land of hot running water and mattresses, don't know if I'd have managed a week @McHelenz!

mynameisMrG · 23/06/2019 14:57

Lovely photo @mumsey2be

Aww fab pics @DinoGreen and @mumsey2be 😍

@Kinsters she is insane. Luckily no comments like that yet this time round....

Beck2277 · 23/06/2019 16:03

I totally caved and went for an early scan today and have a lovely blob with a heartbeat measuring 8w 2 days! Dates of lmp meant I should be 9w3 but know that the dates can change with early scans. So bizarre to see its actually real!

McHelenz · 23/06/2019 16:38

Had a lovely week apart from a sunburnt forehead haha. We had some really good hot showers at the site.

Am I one of the only ones whose 12 week scan is the first time seeing baby? I'm so scared of a MMC at the mo.

beth3735 · 23/06/2019 16:44

So many lovely scan pics, I had my private scan today, baby measured exactly 10 weeks which is what I am. Baby didn’t move though in the scan other than it’s heartbeat, I guess it was Sunday so a day of rest.

Cannyhandleit · 23/06/2019 16:51

@McHelenz our 12 week scan is 2 weeks away yet and it will be our first time seeing baby!

Cannyhandleit · 23/06/2019 16:52

I'm very jealous of all these scan pics though

megganonion · 23/06/2019 17:38

Beautiful scans ladies!

DaisyMay25 · 23/06/2019 17:39

@Anon120 I'm guessing girl for you!

@beth3735 I'm guessing boy for you!

I've started to feel sick just before I head out for Chinese buffet! I'm gonna try and power through, might just eat veg and salt and pepper chips!

beth3735 · 23/06/2019 17:42

@DaisyMay25 my partner and son would love it if you’re right, my girls want a girl. I’m happy just as long as my screening tests done back low risk as I’m 35 😂

Ann334 · 23/06/2019 17:43

@McHelenz I’ll be waiting for my 12 week scan but it’s not until 16th July 😩 I feel much less sick which is wonderful but has made me a bag of nerves because I can’t just be positive and grateful can I?!

DinoGreen · 23/06/2019 17:49

So many scans today! Congrats everyone!
