@NoMoreFastCars82 oh bless you you sound so nice really hope it'll be okay and thank you for that it's nice to know if I struggle I can just get it out on here xx

anitagreen · 18/06/2019 18:57

@MrsPandigital I'm really nervous but excited my son was upside down in his last one which was hilarious looked so bizarre x

AstroKate · 18/06/2019 19:11

I have my scan this Thursday! I'm sure there were two others who had their 12 week scan the same day? Can't remember who.

At the moment, I'm more nervous than excited. Just want it over with so I know what's what!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 19:13

@AstroKate it'll be fine xx everything crossed here for a lovely clear scan xx

@anitagreen thank you, that's so sweet of you xx I honestly truly wish for everyone else on here to have perfect pregnancies, I think everyone deserves it xx

megganonion · 18/06/2019 19:14

Evening ladies!
I have a problem i dont know what to do... we told my hubbys parents about pregnancy at 7 weeks as we had a family event and they probably would have guessed anyways. Thing is his mum has now told a load of people who i dont even know that well, ive had friends of theirs congratulate me and i feel so betrayed as we specifically asked them not to tell anyone until i had 12 weeks scan. I havent told my own dad, brothers or grandparents yet. I dont want to make it a big deal but feel so betrayed 😥 my family live 80 miles away and i wanted to wait and tell them in person, but after my 12 weeks scan. Ive told my mum and sister and a few close friends.
Any advise would be much appreciated 🤪 feeling a bit crazy emotional 🤔

DaisyMay25 · 18/06/2019 19:14

@mynameisMrG mine is a week today too! I've forgotten what time though.. I think it's at 9:30

Looking forward to seeing all these scan over the next few weeks!

DaisyMay25 · 18/06/2019 19:25

@megganonion I'm so sorry, I don't even know what to suggest! I'd get DH to have a word though because that's not okay. She should respect your privacy, you trusted her enough to tell her and she's broken that trust. Unfortunately she can't untell people though. How far away is your scan?

Chips84 · 18/06/2019 19:25

@megganonion I had almost the same. My mum went ahead and told all her sisters, even though if asked my parents not to share with the rest of the family. We wanted to wait until 12 weeks because I've had 2 MC before, so just wanted to be sure. But before I knew it, i was getting messages of congratulations from everyone.

The only thing I can suggest is to confront it with your parents in law and let them know how that this was your news to share when ready. If you don't feel like you can do that, then ask your husband to do so. They need to know so they stop telling people.

I told my mom that this wasn't her news to share, and that my husband and I weren't ready. I then asked her not to tell any more people. I also responded to everyone who text me, asking them to please keep the news to themselves as my husband and I did not yet want to share the news. Everyone understood that and my mum was very apologetic. She was just so excited that she didn't even think much of it.

megganonion · 18/06/2019 19:49

@DaisyMay25 i havent even a date through for my scan yet as antenatal clinic in my area is very busy atm looks like ill be 15 weeks before ill even get my scan 😥
@Chips84 i also had a miscarriage in feb which i told her about, thats y i cannot understand y she would tell complete strangers, i wouldnt mind family so much but these are people i know to see but dont even know their names, and one of them asked me infront of my 9 and 6 year olds how my pregnancy was going, i was so shocked i didnt know wat to say i just stood there, we hadnt planned on telling the boys until around 18weeks. I didnt confirm anything infront of them but ive had a few awkward questions lol.
I think ill bring it up with hubby wen he gets home from his meeting. He didnt even want to tell his parents maybe this is why!

mrscatmad31 · 18/06/2019 19:49

@megganonion we told my MIL because she would have guessed as soon as I turned down the weekly G and T, she's since told two other family members, one of which I've met only about 3 times, we have had to then rush telling BIL because otherwise she would probably have told him too! I'm really annoyed tbh but don't feel like I can say anything

CatRash · 18/06/2019 20:30

I'm keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow @NoMoreFastCars82. Can you remember what date you got you BFP and could you date from there as it might come out different to LMP dates?

@megganonion I'd be pissed too. I had a similar situation with my in-laws telling the world about something I'd rather not share. My DH was fuming for me so he had a word with them. I imagine your MIL is just excited and isn't doing it to piss you off but perhaps she just needs telling to rein it in.

My 12 week scan is Monday - exciting 😁

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 20:47

I'd be livid if anyone I told started blabbing xx I feel for you ladies, it can't be an easy situation and given what I'm dealing with at the min, it's bad enough to me that I've told the people I have 👎🏻 xx

@CatRash I found out at the doctors about 2-3 weeks after my missed period when I went in thinking my hormones were whacked out xx I found out 24th may and last pregnancy test before that was 4/4 3 days before my LMP xx I get so confused by all this I don't know how it's worked out xx

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 20:53

@CatRash sorry should have said 4th April test was negative 🙄 my brain is awful when I'm multitasking xx

peanutbaba · 18/06/2019 21:16

@MonicaGellerHyphenBing thank you! Congratulations to you too. I've not had a letter for my scan as yet, the midwife told me the date at my appointment. She said that they tend to send the letter late on in case they have to put any emergency appointments in and the date changes??

@plipliop aw hi due date friend! I wish my scan was next week I'm so impatient haha!

@NoMoreFastCars82 Those symptoms returning sounds promising to me!

Thanks @MrsPandigitalGrin

Hi @Bentley111 We're pretty close! Wonder if the dates will be the same or not following our scans?

Congratulations everyone!

Xxx

peanutbaba · 18/06/2019 21:17

@beth3735 beautiful pic! Congratulations x

peanutbaba · 18/06/2019 21:20

@anitagreen I'm exactly the same as you, totally gone off most foods! Can only tolerate fruit and cereal most of the time... hoping my appetite will return soon! X

CatRash · 18/06/2019 22:02

You could be anywhere from 7 weeks or thereabouts pregnant then @NoMoreFastCars82 if you ovulated later in your cycle. Sounds very promising!

I used my home doppler I had from my previous pregnancy tonight and found baby's little 154bmp within about 5 minutes so feeling very happy. I forgot what a gorgeous sound it is 😍 (I know at home dopplers aren't generally recommended but I was shown how to use one by a midwife during my first pregnancy due to ongoing 2nd trimester bleeding so I'm pretty well versed at finding a heartbeat 💓)

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 22:11

@CatRash I've been sat doing all the math and given my cycles I should be 9 weeks, not 10 weeks as I seem to be fertile 3 weeks after period, not 2 so I'm thinking 22nd April was d day and ovulated 27th xx

Otherwise it doesn't work out as in may id been noting tender breasts already earlyish on so symptoms wouldn't start before I got pregnant xx

Tomorrow will clear it up xx

Mirana · 18/06/2019 22:42

Good luck for tomorrow @NoMoreFastCars82 Flowers

I told only my parents on my side, and my mum told 2 out of 3 of my sisters. I was fuming, but damage is already done. When I hit 12 weeks I'll explain to her that I really really want to tell people myself and see how she reacts!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 22:52

@Mirana good luck with that, and thank you xx

Haven't stopped researching tonight and I've just read it can take up to 12 days for implantation so could be completely off base even with my 9 week prediction so I'm going to put phone on charge and stop looking now xx

DaisyMay25 · 18/06/2019 22:55

@NoMoreFastCars82 what time is your scan tomorrow??

megganonion · 18/06/2019 23:05

@NoMoreFastCars82 good luck for your scan tomorrow ❤
Ive decided to let it lie with inlaws as they cant untell people now. I will be keeping my business to myself from now on thats for sure!!

Kinsters · 19/06/2019 00:09

NoMoreFastCars good luck with the scan today, really hope you get some answers.

anitagreen I've gone off loads of food as well. It's getting better now that I'm approaching 12 weeks though.

megganonion that's such a breach of trust, I'd be really annoyed if I were you.

I've got my 12 week scan this Saturday. Bricking it! We looked at some baby clothes in the shops at the weekend and they were so sweet. It'll be really nice when the miscarriage worry is gone and we can start planning to bring a baby home. Hopefully we'll start feeling that way with a good scan on Saturday and then good harmony test results too.

Kinsters · 19/06/2019 01:52

Oh I meant to say as well, I've now had two days with no bleeding/spotting so I'm feeling quite happy (though for me I don't think whether I'm bleeding or not indicates much - it's still nice not to see it though.)

NoMoreFastCars82 · 19/06/2019 05:26

@Kinsters I can imagine it's a constant worry and that's something nobody needs in early pregnancy xx all crossed it's gone and won't come back now xx

@megganonion @DaisyMay25 thanks, scan is 10am, leaving at 8am to go to my mates in Peterborough and go together but I'm up already and washed up then heaved for about 15 mins as sickness came on and now sat wondering how the hell this is gonna go this morning xx
