@NoMoreFastCars82 I'm so sorry it wasn't a good scan 😓 I'm crossing everything for you that it was just a crappy sonographer and all will be well tomorrow.

Honestly don't worry about trying again yet, wait for confirmation before you start torturing yourself. My advice in 2015 after MMC was to wait 3 cycles before trying again, it won't be imminent so don't panic x

MoominMantra · 17/06/2019 21:35

Yes I have a tipped uterus too and it does make things a bit harder to see. I've had scans with two of my dds where not enough could be seen for them to be happy about it early on.

NoMoreFastCars82 · 17/06/2019 21:55

@MoominMantra you gave me that glimmer of hope I needed to research a bit more and as my bmi is over 30 I've also read that anything over 25 and it's difficult to see and hear through fat also xx where she was looking is the flabbiest bit on me as I have always had a pouch of fat there regardless how much weight I've had on me xx

My uterus is tilted and I know this as I had the miracoil thing for a month and had to have it taken out Cos it left me in so much pain due to where it sat and my uterus xx

Also my partners ex wife at 12 weeks had similar problems with them finding heartbeat with their eldest boy and it took 4 toilet breaks and a complete change of where the Doppler was to find heartbeat xx the sonographer was perplexed as to how the heartbeat was where it was as she said it shouldn't be there until further along in pregnancy xx

I'm sat keeping as hopeful as I can xx getting funny pains where she kept shoving the Doppler around ... are they normally that rough? Xx

Ohrobin · 17/06/2019 21:57

Hello just chipping in, I've got a tipped uterus and when I went for my first scan at about 6 weeks they could only see the sac using the external ultrasound but then did internal and saw heartbeat. I've been back for 9 weeks and same thing they couldn't see anything externally (but my bladder also wasnt full enough) but did internal. Maybe remind the people tomorrow and they can do an internal scan for you. Wishing you all the best!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 17/06/2019 22:12

@Ohrobin thanks, if you've had trouble at 9 weeks and I could be 8 weeks or 10 weeks and nobody currently knows, well there again it shows this sonographer wasn't as switched on as she thinks!

My midwife was also straight to the negative and no positive words really xx you'd think with her knowing this was my first she'd have said second opinion before saying it's after 6.5 weeks so if no heartbeat then something's gone wrong!! Xx

I'm angry now in fairness, I've cried so hard today and I am so tired and haven't eaten since lunchtime xx

BowiesJumper · 17/06/2019 22:25

So sorry @NoMoreFastCars82 I’ve got everything crossed for you. Xx

Mirana · 17/06/2019 22:36

@NoMoreFastCars82 Midwives can be absolutely diabolical, I am firmly on that team. I've actually written out and sent a complaint about my care to the hospital tonight, maybe consider the same when this is all over!

Not surprised you feel angry. I had loads of pains after my ultrasound, they went away after a day, they were worrying as it was very sore but they do subside, I think this early everything is stretching so it's like scanning a bunch of already very sore muscles! Definitely demand and internal scan tomorrow, I think midwives easily fall into the trap of doing exactly what it says on paper, but not all of us fit into a box on a sheet 100% of the time x

NoMoreFastCars82 · 17/06/2019 22:45

@Mirana this is my plan tomorrow, I'm not letting up and if I have to ring my local midwife line and get a scan at a different hospital in my current area then I'll do so!! Xx

@BowiesJumper thank you xx

Honestly a huge thank you to everyone, as I've taken over the thread tonight and I'm sure there's others who have news or things they'd like to talk about xx

I won't be offended in the slightest and would love to know you're all ok and everything is going well as it gives me positive things to think about xx

MummyBearBoo · 17/06/2019 22:45

10+3 today just heard babies heartbeat with a Doppler it's about 165bom I know people don't recommend using them but my dad's a GP and showed my husband how to use it properly a lot of people mistake their own heart rate or that of the placenta for the baby's but my heart rate is about 80bpm - or people can find the heartbeat it is difficult to do especially this early!! Most of my symptoms are subsiding my bump (water retention I think) makes me look about 20 weeks gone, my boobs still hurt and my CVS and next scan is a week today!! Xx

I'm just going to add, I've just eaten a 12 inch double cheese pizza all to myself without breathing, I do love being able to do stuff like that xx

NoMoreFastCars82 · 17/06/2019 22:49

No idea why it posted and told me I had to retry 😂 I even edited so now two similar posts!! 👍🏻 xx

@MummyBearBoo sounds difficult but I'm sure it's something you'd get used to using quick enough

MoominMantra · 17/06/2019 22:52

My midwife was lovely - I must be lucky I guess 😬

I had good news from the hospital today regarding my concerns about being rhesus negative and not having anti - d after dd3 was born. They haven't detected any antibodies luckily. I will have the anti - d this time!

@NoMoreFastCars82 I really hope everything goes well for you Thanks

NoMoreFastCars82 · 17/06/2019 23:02

@MoominMantra that's great news!! So pleased for you 🎉☺️

I'm guessing that's a big injection? 🤐 xx

megganonion · 17/06/2019 23:17

@NoMoreFastCars82 im so sorry to hear this, i had a similar issue with my first, had a scan at 8 weeks only measured 5, my cycles wer all over the place at the time and my dates wer wrong.
On a more hopeful note when my mum was pregnamt with my youngest brother they couldnt find a heartbeat at 9 weeks and was measuring small, they told her to go home and wait 2 weeks for nature to take its course... when she had no bleeding after 2 weeks they brought her in for a d&c, luckily she had a scan to double check as there he was 11 weeks and a heartbeat.
I really hope it is the same for you x

mumsey2be · 17/06/2019 23:25

Hello! I'm 11 +3 today with scan this weekend! Cant wait to see little person! Had an MMC tow years ago and its taken us 3 ivfs and eventually a donor to get up-duffed so it has been a long road. Sickness seems to be easing off - i found myself very randy driving home from Cotswalds this afternoon, was very surprised as i have been Mrs Square Pants -Bloat-Tum for 8 weeks and suddenly - woohoo! All up for it again!!!

MoominMantra · 17/06/2019 23:30

I think it is quite a big injection - in the past I asked them to put it in my bum 😬

beth3735 · 17/06/2019 23:50

I made the mistake of trying to hear the heartbeat on my Doppler I have at home from my last pregnancy. I’m only 9+1 weeks and overweight and didn’t hear a thing. I have a private scan booked for Sunday anyway but I’m scared it might have stopped growing after I saw the heartbeat at 7+4 weeks. Knew I should’ve kept the machine away until at least around 11-12 weeks 🙄😩

DaisyMay25 · 17/06/2019 23:55

@MoominMantra I don't want a huge injection in the bum!!! I'm almost done with injections!

@NoMoreFastCars82 so sorry your scan didn't go as planned, was it external? I've only had external ones and I also have a tilted uterus so hopefully that was the problem with yours. I hope they can get you booked in tomorrow for answers

DaisyMay25 · 18/06/2019 00:08

Quick question, I appeared to have confused myself!
Folic acid is taken in the first 12 weeks, am I right in think I'd take my last one on 11+6?
Or would in be on 12+0 or 12+6.
My blood thinners are for the first 12 and I take my last one tomorrow but don't wanna stop taking folic acid early...

Kinsters · 18/06/2019 03:15

NoMoreFastCars82 best of luck with the hospital scan, hopefully they'll have better technique/equipment. I had a MMC diagnosed at 8+4 last year and there was no waiting time to TTC again, I was pregnant within 3 or 4 months. I really hope you don't have to think about that though!

Bentley that sounds encouraging about the rhesus antibodies.

As for me, back is still painful. I've had two physio sessions and another today but I don't feel like they've done much really, not sure it's worth the money. DH thinks it's a scam but I'm inclined to keep at it for a month. Might give pregnancy yoga a try as well. 12 week scan and harmony test on Saturday and I'm really nervous, we've seen a heartbeat three times now but I'm just so paranoid.

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 06:16

@megganonion thank you, I needed a miracle story this morning xx how did she cope with those couple of weeks?

My eyes are crazy sore and my tummy is proper sore this morning xx

I could sleep forever and I've been up and down as normal all night peeing and having to rehydrate so having other thoughts is difficult xx

Chips84 · 18/06/2019 06:21

@NoMoreFastCars82 so sorry to hear your scan didn't go well. I'm keeping everything crossed for you, hope all will be ok x

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 06:21

@Kinsters thank you, I broached the whole subject with my partner last night Cos I needed him to be aware that if this didn't end well I want to try again xx

@mumsey2be Lol, glad sex drive is back, mine never went which surprised me through all this lol xx

@DaisyMay25 Did they struggle to see and hear heartbeat in certain positions?

@MoominMantra That injection doesn't sound fun so good luck bless you xx

NoMoreFastCars82 · 18/06/2019 06:22

@Chips84 thank you xx

Cindy61 · 18/06/2019 06:50

When I couldn't eat much, the nausea worsened. But after a nice full meal in days, the heartburn is back with vengeance. Just no way out, isn't it? 🤦‍♀️
