@SleepingStandingUp are you unsure about names?

Anyone else still choosing?

We have ours and had them before we even got pregnant... but it was one of those chats you have early on in a relationship and don't expect the pregnancy to come within months of that!! Lol x

DaisyMay25 · 16/06/2019 21:30

@NoMoreFastCars82 we've had ours picked out for two years, we've chosen two boys and two girls but annoyingly we both prefer different ones!

I would love some roast potatoes right now! My nausea always seems to come back at night which is very annoying

DinoGreen · 16/06/2019 21:30

@NoMoreFastCars82 we haven’t thought much about names yet. We have two possible boy names we both like, no girls names we both like at all yet!

Fivebyfive2 · 16/06/2019 21:47

@nomorefastcars82, I know right?! Sex, food and poo are the 3 most important things right now 😂

We've been out this evening celebrating a friends birthday... Really wanted to tell him our news, but are waiting for the 12 week scan... Only 2 weeks!! Came back and had a fish finger sandwich. Dh has gone to bed (one guiness too many!) so I'm watching TV with a hot chocolate 😋

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 21:47

@DaisyMay25 mine comes on just randomly and whenever it feels like it so can be a nightmare x
I've left the roasties alone as I feel tired and nose is blocked again 👎🏻

Names wise I always had a girls name picked out for years and years, wouldn't of mattered who I was with, that's what I wanted. However when me and OH had the chat initially I had a dream where the new girls name came to me, so I took it as a sign as looking back now, I would say I was already a week or so pregnant so it is meant to be x
Boys name his kids are both beginning with C so I just followed theme but as he's Scottish heritage and I'm Irish heritage I made sure it was Irish 😂😂 x

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 21:49

@Fivebyfive2 I totally agree, but not sure which is the most important 😂😂 maybe they change rank hourly and daily haha! ☺️

mynameisMrG · 16/06/2019 22:19

I’ve had my girl name picked since I was 14. Dh got to make the final decision on out DSs name (which was also my fav luckily). I have a couple of ideas if we have another boy but I think like with DS we didn’t finalise his name until we saw him. His name really suits him though.

SleepingStandingUp · 16/06/2019 22:40

We have a girls name sorted, but DS was a struggle and we have NOTHING we agree on for a boy. Atticus is the closest we come to agreement!!

McHelenz · 16/06/2019 22:51

So now the sickness has a friend - migraine. Ive got to spend a week in a tent with this :( :(

SleepingStandingUp · 16/06/2019 23:01

Oh no :( do you normally get migraines? When do you go away?

Kinsters · 17/06/2019 02:57

McHelenz ahh migraines suck. Do you have to go away? I find good temporary relief from eating an ice lolly or ice cream so if you can mainline those you might get at least some relief.

Glad I'm not the only one whose had an orgasm dream! It'd happened to me once before almost 10 years ago. I have to say it's not a bad way to wake up!

We've not got any names picked out. I don't think we'll even think about it until we find out the sex and feel more sure that this baby is actually the one!

Ahh another week starts and I feel so tired already, I slept badly last night cause of this cold. Wish I could take some decongestants!

McHelenz · 17/06/2019 05:45

Yea I do usually get them, but they usually go with an ibuprofen which I obviously cant have 😭. I've woke up and it's still here, just hoping the paracetamol do something.

Don't really want to cancel our holiday, hopefully the fresh air will help!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 17/06/2019 07:24

@McHelenz can your midwife not go through slightly stronger options for you?
I had a severe gum infection come on randomly last Wednesday and paracetamol did nothing so midwife said cocodamol 8mg and if I hadn't I'd have gone insane with the pain I was in x thankfully 2-3 days and it went x

NewbieMam · 17/06/2019 07:48

Little bit of red blood this morning, rang emergency line and they told me to ring my local midwife part of hospital, they've booked an early ultrasound but because I only had my early one last Sunday they have to wait until it's been 2 weeks, so it's not until Sunday. She's said to go to a&e if it gets worse/if I get cramping to accompany it.

Now I'm just sat here crying alone and worrying. Meant to be at work for 9 (40 minute drive) but I don't know if I can go in yet... Gonna be worrying all week now!

DinoGreen · 17/06/2019 07:59

Sorry @NewbieMam you must be worried. If it’s only a little bit of blood it’s unlikely to be bad news so try to remain positive.

beth3735 · 17/06/2019 08:23

My 12 week scan date has come through for the 12th July. The only day I can’t make as it’s my youngest child’s leaving assembly before he goes to senior school. I’ll be near enough 13 weeks at that point but due to my age I want all the screening for all the syndromes. I’m hoping they don’t delay me too much when I rearrange it. I’m glad I have a private scan booked for this Sunday when I should be 10 weeks 😃

mynameisMrG · 17/06/2019 08:25

Bless you @NewbieMam, it’s so worrying isn’t it

OP posts:
DaisyMay25 · 17/06/2019 08:37

Sorry @NewbieMam hopefully it stops soon and it was just a bit of random spotting.

@beth3735 how annoying, it's typical though isn't it? The one day you can't do. Just give them a ring and hopefully they'll rearrange and it'll be within the 14 week time frame

@Bentley111 just wanted to see how you're doing. Have you managed to see anyone about the antibodies yet?

Bentley111 · 17/06/2019 08:46

Sorry you're suffering so much @McHelenz I'd definitely see your GP to see if you can take anything. I suffer with migraines too but touch wood haven't had anything yet whilst pg.

@NewbieMam that's really bad they won't see you! I hope you're ok. Do you have any cramps?

Aww thanks @DaisyMay25 I'm still here. Have blood tests at 2pm today then a GP appt for 2.40pm for my sickness med review... feel like I may as well just move into the drs at this rate 🙈 am really nervous for the bloods... well not so much the bloods but the results...!

SleepingStandingUp · 17/06/2019 08:58

@beth3735 when you call to reschedule emphasise how far you are, they might squeeze you in somewhere

McHelenz · 17/06/2019 09:00

@Bentley111 yea if it gets no better I'll deffo go see someone. It's all been joy this morning, got up at 5 to take paracetamol, throw up paracetamol. Then I've just woke up again to be so violently sick I've pulled my shoulder.

Poor hubby doesnt know what to do as I sat in bed crying 🙈

DaisyMay25 · 17/06/2019 09:32

@Bentley111 is the sickness still as bad? I felt like too, I was there about three times a week! Make sure you ask them what the options are if they find anti bodies, it's best to have the answers before results so that you already know the plan if that makes sense?

@McHelenz I suffer with migraines too, in fact the day after I got my BFP I had my worse one, I had blurred vision for 12 hours with horrendous nausea. I was told just paracetamol too but it didn't work I just had to nap on and off. Hopefully it'll pass soon, I know how horrid they are Thanks

NewbieMam · 17/06/2019 09:40

Thank you everyone

@Bentley111 no cramps currently but cramps seem to be my biggest symptom throughout pregnancy so far
They've said to go to a&e if still blood and cramps start

Does anyone know why NHS wait 2 weeks between each ultrasound? I tried googling it but couldn't find an answer

Bentley111 · 17/06/2019 10:13

Poor you @McHelenz that sounds rotten. Your poor DH I bet he doesn't know what to do to help.

@DaisyMay25 it's still there but I think I'm learning how to control it more iykwim? I'm still being sick 5-10 times a day depending on how bad the day is 🤢

That's really good advice, thank you. It will be good to know what options etc are available depending on results so DH & I can discuss them whilst waiting for them to come back.

Can you get a private one today @NewbieMam? If you're having/have had cramps I'd say just get yourself to a&e now. You won't be wasting their time, that's what they're there for x
