Haha loving reading about everyone's increased libido - it's nice that we can all still have a laugh in between the lows of nausea, feeling gross etc 😂

I feel a bit silly but today was in town and went a bit OTT in the sales and bought quite a few maternity clothes.. not sure why as not yet 11 weeks but just got really excited. But when I got home I just thought.. oops 😔

DaisyMay25 · 15/06/2019 22:51

@mynameisMrG I'm glad I'm not alone with sex dreams! I have zero sex drive but my dreams seem to be a different story!

@Ann334 I haven't had sex since February... I'm hoping the second trimester it'll change. My poor DH!

SleepingStandingUp · 15/06/2019 23:08

We had sex Thursday and I spent Friday morning with stabbing pains through my pelvis bone. No more sex.

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 00:52

@SleepingStandingUp oh bless ya!! If it's not a frequent thing it could be just that x they do say some positions are easier than others on a pregnant woman also so maybe a different position?

I wasn't going to mention my dreams thinking it was only me but Lol I love that everyone else is getting them!!! I'm also finding that when there's a hunky man half clothed or nearly naked on a film I end up staring and a little drooly 😂😂😂 it's so bad!!!

Well I've knackered the OH out and I'm sat up watching Austin powers and eating white chocolate buttons 💪🏻💪🏻😂😂 x

Alexasmummy13 · 16/06/2019 08:19

@Cannyhandleit @MonicaGellerHyphenBing I'm Scotland too, Glasgow to be precise.
Just a little update from me as I came in at one of the earlier threads. I'm 10+2. Had scan at epu, was 7+6 with + HB. Got another scan tomorrow at epu as I've been anxious with cramping and slight spotting. Hoping to see continous growth and +HB for our little peanut. Just feel like I'm constantly worrying this time aroundConfused

winter138 · 16/06/2019 08:40

I live in N.ireland and I think our booking appt and 12week scan are all rolled into one.

I've just had a GP appt so far after I found out I was pregnant and should receive my 12 week appointment in the post next week.

I am 8 weeks today.

plipliop · 16/06/2019 08:48

Hi everyone,

Glad to hear about positive scans and people starting to feel better. I don't feel nauseous anymore and vertigo has gone but now I have a horrible cold and feel like I've swallowed two golf balls!

Food wise, I still have lots of things that I can't face eating. Salad and vegetables only in foods rather than on their own. Whoever mentioned gravy... yes! I am loving gravy with peas or broccoli but it has to have vinegar mixed in 🤤

I cannot really eat sweet things but did have a cake this weekend as it is DH 's birthday and Father's Day of course.

I can't stop thinking about Chinese take away.

I currently have a houseful of hungover people as we had a party last night. I'm feeling slightly smug to not be feeling rough this morning.

Scan is in a week and a half and now my sickness has gone, I do get moments of mild anxiety. I'm still very tired though.

I do feel like these weeks have passed quickly. Roll on next week - one step closer to next scan!

plipliop · 16/06/2019 08:49

I'm actually a bit disappointed to not be craving chocolate and donuts 🍩

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 09:05

@plipliop I had more milky buttons for breakfast 😂😂 then cheese on toast 🥰

I go through chocolate stages as today seems more savoury even with a few buttons this morning.

How's everyone feeling today then?

So far so good for me apart from a 10 sneeze fit about 10 mins ago so allergies are at it! Looking forward to being able to have antihistamines again!! X

DaisyMay25 · 16/06/2019 09:20

@NoMoreFastCars82 I've got some milkybar eggs downstairs that you're making me think about!

I think I'm coming down with a cold too, either that or allergies.
I'm off to a Chinese food superstore today (I have no idea what it is) with DH and MIL so I'm hoping my appetite stays for that!
Only 9 days til my scan now, it can't come quick enough!

Glad peoples scan have gone well and those having them over the next week or two go well!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 09:47

@DaisyMay25 Chinese place sounds like I'd be drooling lol

Do love a good Chinese!! Though I've been avoiding paying a load of money when I've ordered Chinese and left the duck and pancakes alone... I feel I may have to bite the bullet and have some soon lol x

Bentley111 · 16/06/2019 10:17

@NoMoreFastCars82 I had cheese on toast for lunch yesterday - my usual go to fave - but it came right back up... I felt so upset that my favourite ever food had betrayed me, is that ridiculous? Blush

Missmonkeypenny · 16/06/2019 10:17

Happy father’s day to all those daddy’s to be! We’re off for a private scan this morning which I’m excited about, if not nervous!

I’m also in the ‘just feed me junk’ camp - we had pizza last night and all I can think about is eating it again. My nausea has pretty much gone but been replaced with pregnancy rhinitis ( it’s badically just excessive sneezing ) and horrible round ligament pain with every sneeze!
I hope you all have a lovely Sunday! I’ll be back with a photo of Baby Monkey to show you later!

Missmonkeypenny · 16/06/2019 10:18

Ps for all of those who think they have sudden colds or allergies kicking it - it may well be this!

DaisyMay25 · 16/06/2019 10:19

@Missmonkeypenny I can't stop sneezing either! I didn't know this was a common thing though!

I hope your scan goes well, I can't wait to see it!!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 10:22

@Bentley111 no I'd have been just as upset, bless ya!! ☹️ well it just means making sure you've got more in so you can try again later on x

@Missmonkeypenny I think you've hit it straight on the nose lol, I've been bunged up constantly for weeks and it's giving me nose bleeds which aren't fun but aren't anything new so it's not a worry x

Hate sneezing at the best of times but I get a bit of an abdomen pain when I do Cos it's so violent 👎🏻

Fivebyfive2 · 16/06/2019 10:27

Omg am loving all the sex dream talk!! We've had sex a few times, but as regular as normal.

@missmonkeypenny, hope the scan goes well, how exciting!

I thought my boobs weren't feeling sore anymore, but woke up this morning and it's back!

Apologies if this is tmi, but has anyone taken lactalose for constipation? I only seem to be doing, ahem, 'little ones' recently, about every other day. No discomfort or anything, just a bit unusual. We go on holiday on Thursday and I'd like to see if I can get things going a bit more before then! Started on bran flakes, activia yoghurt and more veg and water, as I'm too scared to try the lactalose incase it just gives me the runs!! Xx

mynameisMrG · 16/06/2019 10:36

I cant stop sneezing either. Not looking forward to my hay fever kicking in I must say.

I’m getting the worst tension headaches at the moment. I suffer anyway but they are always worse when I’m pregnant. Poor DH had to get up at 6am with DS on Father’s Day as I felt awful and had to take something and sleep it off.

Good luck to those scanning today!

AstroKate · 16/06/2019 10:39

@Fivebyfive2 🙋🏻‍♀️I've been taking lactulose for a week now as I was going 3/4 days with just a few 'little ones'. It's quite mild so I started on 15 ml once a day but had to increase it to twice a day and even then, it's just about got me regular rather than going too far the other way 😆

I'd recommend it as I was getting bad stomach cramps from not going and that's eased off now.

Fivebyfive2 · 16/06/2019 10:58

@AstroKate, thanks hun! I think I'll start on a small dose tonight and see how I get on alongside the bran/water /veg tactic! It does say it is really gentle, but I'm such a wuss about taking stuff it's ridiculous really 😂

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 11:04

I've been lucky on the constipation side but at 7 weeks I was seriously bad so I've tried to make sure I'm eating lots of fruit and so far so good x

AstroKate · 16/06/2019 11:10

@Fivebyfive2 I was on dialysis a few years ago and had to take a concoction of laxatives as part of the treatment daily so I'm a connoisseur! Trust me, lactulose is the milder one! The key is to take it regularly not just as a one off. I'd take 15ml every other day if you're worried and increase from there if you need to.

You can tell how blocked up I am by my dosage of twice daily 😆

plipliop · 16/06/2019 11:11

@Bentley111 I am off cheese. Sad times.

Bentley111 · 16/06/2019 11:24

So upsetting isn't it @plipliop - the thought of a massive cheeseboard with crackers and chutneys is turning my stomach and I feel quite emotional about it 😂 what if I don't fancy cheese ever again!!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 16/06/2019 11:27

I feel bad for mentioning cheese so often with people off it 🤐 sorry ladies lol x
