I think I said this to someone else on here last week but they are still monitoring everyone for things that could indicate GD anyway, like growth and urine samples. So there's other ways for them to find it even if you aren't due to have a GTT. Some women on the FB group get diagnosed right at the end, 36 plus weeks.

happydays00 · 26/06/2019 18:29

@kyles101 sorry to hear you have the GD. I hope you have lots of support and don't feel too overwhelmed!

@boodles101 that's a horrible decision to make. I too would be concerned about delivering the first naturally and the needing a c section for the second. Go with your gut whatever you decide!

I've had my scan and all was normal (as far as he could see). Most importantly brain, heart and stomach was normal so at worst there could be a narrowing of the oesophagus but he wouldn't be able to see that on a scan and said there appeared to be no obvious problems. Hugely relieved!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 26/06/2019 18:31

Brilliant news happydays!

Puglover88 · 26/06/2019 18:36

So much to catch up on! @happydays00 that’s great news - must be such a huge relief to you.

Sorry to anyone that’s got GD, pregnancy really is a minefield!

Stroan · 26/06/2019 19:49

Brilliant news @happydays00

Hope everyone is coping with the heat. I've got DDs paddling pool filling up for tomorrow evening. Would be rude not to soak my swollen feet in it while it fills....

kyles101 · 26/06/2019 21:02

What a relief @happydays00 must be such a weight off your mind.

I have a pool ready for if the heatwave hits @Stroan !!

In hospital, waters broke about an hour ago... baby is doing fine and they're now giving me the injection to help with his lungs. Being kept in obviously too. So scared

Oh TwittleBee, I'm so gutted to hear that. You've consistently listened to your instincts and body- you've done so well to get to this stage and you're in the best place for you and baby. Crossing everything and saying a wee agnostic prayer for you both tonight x

TwittleBee · 27/06/2019 00:53

Thank you Craic xx

Dr has been, confirmed waters have broken and done a scan, baby is looking all good. I've had 1st dose of steroids, i will start a course of antibiotics and now it's a waiting game.

Stroan · 27/06/2019 06:09

Oh Twittlebee, keeping everything crossed for you and baby over the next few days. You've done so well to get to this stage with such rotten luck so far, sending so much hope your way xx

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/06/2019 06:28

Oh twittle Sad cannot imagine how you must be feeling Flowers everything crossed for you and your little one

Fortheloveofscience · 27/06/2019 06:53

Shit, Twittle, not surprised you’re scared. Glad you’re in hospital and baby looks good. I’ll be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed xx

Megan2018 · 27/06/2019 06:55

kyles101 · 27/06/2019 06:59

Oh @TwittleBee will be thinking of you today.

boodles101 · 27/06/2019 07:02

Oh gosh twittle how scary for you. Will be thinking of you, glad baby is doing ok. Fingers crossed you can hold on for as long as possible x

Dipsy77 · 27/06/2019 07:04

Thinking of you @TwittleBee xx

TwittleBee · 27/06/2019 07:11

Hi, thanks all. I can update as just sitting on the ward being monitored. Baby isn't moving at all for past few hours but his heart rate suggested he is okay so midwives arent concerned. Bloods came back all good so no infection as of yet.

I am getting regular BHs / Cramps / mild contractions, every 10 to 15 minutes but again they said they'll assess me once doctor comes by unless things really ramp up.

Doctor last night did seem really positive, he said baby looked healthy and a good weight. He said they'd look to deliver him between 32 to 34 weeks though even if i dont go into labour myself by then due to infection risk

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/06/2019 07:14

Oh wow so you will probably have a July baby! How many weeks are you now 28?

TwittleBee · 27/06/2019 07:15

Yeah 28 weeks

GemmaJen · 27/06/2019 07:17

@TwittleBee what a stress! Glad to hear little one is doing okay, fingers crossed they stay put for as long as possible. You've had a tough time of it so far, hope you're doing ok?

happydays00 · 27/06/2019 07:42

Oh @TwittleBee how stressful and incredibly worrying for you. I hope he stays put as long as possible for you! Will be thinking of you xx

firstbabybean · 27/06/2019 07:56

Oh my goodness @Twittlebee you have really had a tough pregnancy. I’ve got everything crossed for you and baby. I hope you are ok and being reassured by the doctors and not too overwhelmed.

Whereabouts in the country are you? Do you have someone with you? You and the other ladies on here have been so supportive of each other and me, I’ve really appreciated this forum. If you’re London based I would happily pop in with a care package for you. Big hug, you and baby have been through a lot and you are both very tough, you can do this! xx

DustyDoorframes · 27/06/2019 07:57

Oh my gosh Twittle!!!!! That babe just isn't keen on staying put!!!!
The scan etc all sound v positive though? And thank goodness for your work being reasonable.
You are going to be best friends with everyone who works on the ward by the time this baby comes out...

Karigan195 · 27/06/2019 07:59

Glad baby seems fine. Hoping he/she can hang on for a few more weeks before coming out to say hello!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 27/06/2019 08:04

Just catching up this morning. Oh @TwittleBee Flowershope you’re doing ok in hospital. You’re in the best hands and sounds like they have a good plan in place for your and baby’s care. Presumably you’ll be kept in now until you deliver? We’ll be with you the whole time xxx
