No she didn't say anything else, just left the room. Still getting cramping and back ache.

Don't blame you @IVEgottheDECAF we've still got a little way to go yet and you need to feel comfortable. Dresses are definitely the way forward I think, jeans annoy me

@Stroan I feel the misjudging bump pain - I keep opening doors into mine - whoops!

Step away from google @TwittleBee. They're just being super careful which is exactly what you want them to be. Medical professionals not explaining things are a trend in recent days though. Look for some batshit AIBU threads, that'll keep your mind busy.

Re reusable nappies, are all nurseries ok with them? Do they just keep yours to one side and then you collect them at the end of the day avec child?

TwittleBee · 21/06/2019 21:58

Just been discharged!

They said bleeding coming from cervix, it is open a bit but bleeding is clearly stopping. They said to go back in if it starts back up.

In mean time no sex, no carrying DS and no working out.

Feet up for you twittle

Karigan195 · 21/06/2019 22:03

Is it that irritated cervix again? Hope it stops completely and everything’s fine.

So got some size comments today. Both from my parents!!! My dad ‘you’re not getting any smaller’ and my mum ‘did you eat a huge pie for lunch’

Unfortunately not uncommon to receive comments about things from either. Build a new kitchen and they’ll walk in and say nothing but oh I don’t like that bit or needs a clean doesn’t it 🙄

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 21/06/2019 22:11

@TwittleBee That much be such a relief. Try to take it easy! Easier said than done with a toddler I know, but hopefully others can take some of the strain for you.

@Karigan195 Oof. Sound like my parents! On hearing I was pregnant again “ah great news, but such a shame that you’ll get fat again”...and my mum last time kept referring to bump as my “fat tum”. Thanks guys .. They really do mean well but no tact at all.

Stroan · 21/06/2019 22:13

Yay for going home, boo to the awkward cervix. Hope you get lots of rest and TLC this weekend.

@karigan195 helpful! Saw my Mum today for the first time in about 2 months and the first thing she said was "oh, look at that waddle". She means well but urgh.

DustyDoorframes · 21/06/2019 22:26

V glad you've been set free twittle!
A weekend on the sun lounger for you!

Whisky2014 · 21/06/2019 22:51

@twittlebee sorry you ended up in hospital but I'm glad to hear it's not too serious. Cab imagine how you were feeling though! Flowers

@puglover I have 16 reusable nappies. 8 pocket nappies plus insert and 8 bumgenius elementals. I have rolls of paper liners and packs of washable wipes.

happytobemrsg · 21/06/2019 22:52

Glad you’re home twittle!

GemmaJen · 22/06/2019 06:38

@kyles101 I think the majority of nurseries are fine with reusable nappies now. We've just signed up to our nursery so have toured a few. Each time we've asked about reusables and been told it's not a problem and they have multiple children using them at the nursery already. You just pop them in your child's day bag and make sure you have a wet bag for the dirty ones to take home at the end of the day.

GemmaJen · 22/06/2019 06:44

@Karigan195 parents can be very blunt sometimes. My mum means well but has a way of wording things that is very insensitive at times. Luckily she's not commented on my side much yet. But I hate size comments, I had a bank teller ask me if I was sure it wasn't twins the other day... Why do people seem to think that's funny? I've got my first measurement on Monday and know already I'm going to be over 90th 🙈

@TwittleBee sounds like a stressful time. Will your DP help out with ds to give you a well earned rest?

IVEgottheDECAF · 22/06/2019 06:48

Hope you had an uneventful night twittle and are having a nice lie in

Dc4 has been up since 6am so i am currently watching bob the builder ...

daphine2004 · 22/06/2019 07:19

@kyles101

I hired my tens machine from mothercare last time I was pregnant. It worked really well for me and will be using one again. Found out this time that my hospital has a hire service so I’ll be looking into it before I make a decision on where to get it from.

TwittleBee · 22/06/2019 07:31

DH is worked the night shift last night so off to pick him up in a moment and then we have to take DS to rugby at 8.30am so no real rest. I'll take a nap when DS naps after rugby but DH will also need a good solid block of sleep too.

IVEgottheDECAF · 22/06/2019 07:32

Have the bleeding and pains stopped now twittle?

TwittleBee · 22/06/2019 07:56

Nope, woke 3 times last night with the cramps and still getting them this morning. Bleeding has certainly slowed to just spotting in my discharge.

OP posts:
IVEgottheDECAF · 22/06/2019 07:58

Sad did they just say to go back if it worsens?

DustyDoorframes · 22/06/2019 08:04

Oh twittle!! Does DS have to go to rugby this week? You must be so tired!

challengeyourreality · 22/06/2019 08:10

Hi all, third trimester thread now! Sorry to hear about your bleeding TwittleBee, I had some spotting on and off when I've been walking/cycling a lot so I know the fear. Hope it stops soon for you. I realised last night that I am 'carrying low' as it's very uncomfortable and my DM kept mentioning how I'd need a harness Hmm (she really said that). So I googled what that means. Apparently with each pregnancy it can get lower and if you had diastasis recti before it can also be lower so alas I can tick off both of those. It is quite uncomfortable to carry as it feels like a ball hanging there Football. Will go back and read how everyone is doing. Looking forward to getting back involved in the group

IVEgottheDECAF · 22/06/2019 08:12

challenge i feel very "low" too, fifth baby here!

Stroan · 22/06/2019 09:01

I'm very low too, everyone comments. 2nd baby but the first was over 10lbs so I think my stomach muscles just don't have the ability to keep the bump up! Didn't have diastasis recti but did have to do a huge amount of work on my core to have any strength there at all.

TheCraicDealer · 22/06/2019 09:38

Take it easy Twittle, if there's a day to miss mini rugby it's today. Although I can see the logic in tiring DS out in the hope you can somewhat relax later. Your DH wasn't at hospital was he? Hope he understands the situation and lets you rest over the weekend.

Gemma I think you and I need one of these T-shirts. I've had so many people tell me how big I am ("still another three months to go, wow!") but I've just concluded that people see a bump and feel like they need to say something.

A mate in Oz sent me over some Bonds Wondersuits which arrived yesterday and they're lovely. Will probably get a few more for jammies etc at a later date, v soft and the double zipper is great.

Puglover88 · 22/06/2019 09:49

@TwittleBee so glad that you’re back from the hospital - it must have been so worrying though. Try and get as much rest as you can!

I also have people commenting on the size of my bump saying how small it is - I know they probably think that’s a compliment but I’d rather they keep their comments to themselves!

Stroan · 22/06/2019 10:16

There is nothing quite like pregnancy to make people think they can comment on your body or your decisions! Or even worse, touch you Angry
