3madboys · 20/07/2007 20:19

ooh hello, a new thread already

and more new peeps to welcome it seems like there will be a march baby boom

i am still feeling tired and pukey, took the boys out for the day today and driving on windy country roads when you feel sick is not a good idea dp is working loads over the next few days, so i am going to be busy with the boys, think i shall end up going to bed the same time as them so i dont end up knackered.

also someone mentioned spd? i get this and it is already starting to play up my pelivs is quite achey and i have been getting stabbing pains not good, i mentioned it to my gp who wasnt too helpful, but i will be seeing the midwife soon, who can refer me to a physio

mumofSlytherinsmonsters · 20/07/2007 20:23

spugs, i was 10 weeks but baby was 6 weeks. I am about 4.5-5 weeks now altho my cycles aren't regular so i don't really know. (LMP 13th June)

I didn't know that SPD could start so early nor cravings. I don't remember either with the DS's!

timmyinatizzy · 20/07/2007 21:50

Found you all. Nice thread title merry.

Hello to all the newly found out I'm pregnant gang.

Wasn't that rain awful today. It absolutely hammered it down where I was. Can't believe it was the last day of school today, where did that year go? Before I know it my dsd'd will be off to senior school. They go into Year 4 in September.

Still no morning sickness (I'm touching wood constantly!!), no visit from the boob fairy and no cravings as of yet. Just a bloated tummy. I'm getting excited about telling people but still think its too early, will probably wait until my nuchal scan on 20th August. We are going to tell dsd's when we go to Butlins in August, as I won't be able to go on the bumper cars with them and I know that they'll get upset. Think that they will be really excited and I can't wait to see their faces.

timmyinatizzy · 20/07/2007 21:51

Oops I meant title for the thread. Doh!

sweetkitty · 20/07/2007 22:00

evening all thanks for the new thread merryberry we need to copy the stats over as well and put all the newbies on if I get time tonight I'll make a start. DD1 had a great birthday had some of her little friends round and the place was well trashed but they all had a great time. I'm shattered now though. No cravings here yet the odd wave of nausea but nothing much yet. Still nothing in the boob department, am I really pregnant??

minnow - I agree EPACs are dismal places, I think your right not going back for a few weeks until you can get a good scan and they know exactly whats going on.

mumofsmonsters - I have loads of CM too. I'll let you in on a [story] on Wednesday I went to the supermarket on my own and in the checkout Q I felt a trickle like that you get when a tampon leaks and thought whats this? On the drive home I could feel myself getting wetter and of course everything is going through my head. It had soaked through my bottoms and I was getting scared. Rushed to the loo and it was discharge never had anything like it. Hopefully it's a good sign as you say though.

abbybaby - glad you came across and you went to the docs. Hopefully Monday will clear things up a bit and put your mind at rest.

spugs - I don't have a pot I have a full cookware set. How can something the size of a apple seed make my stomach bloat so much?

marjoram - good to see you but sorry you are feeling so rough. Eat all you want is what I say if it makes you feel better. Worry about the weight once the babies born. Load of time for that. At least the apple seed will be getting loads of nutrients.

Who asked me about 18 month gap? It was hard going at times when DD2 was very little especially as I was potty training DD1 too so I would sit down to feed DD2 and DD1 would want a pee so I would have to unlatch DD2 mid letdown milk everywhere howling DD2 run to the loo with DD1 then back to DD2. I bought DD2 a rocking swing which was great she loved swinging away in it watching DD1 run about. I suppose in some ways it's harder now she is mobile and in at everything but then DD1 is older so she's easier in some ways. It's easier now as they will play together too.

dontlook - our toddler groups have been finished for a bout 4 weeks now I'm at my wits end trying to entertain them with this bloody weather. Your rain sounds awful, we live at the top of a hill so thankfully are OK in terms of flooding, I've never been so grateful about living on a hill.

big hellos to everyone else too

sweetkitty · 20/07/2007 22:07

Loads more posts since I started my message serves me right for going away and coming back.

3mb - it's me who gets SPD mine started at 15 weeks with both DDs. Dreading it this time have to keep telling myself it's only until the babies born but it will be a long 25 weeks or so. I keep thinking about asking to be induced at 39 weeks as I don't think I can face going another 3 weeks of hell with it but I know I won't because I want another homebirth. I have vivid memories of being overdue with DD2, SPD hurting like hell, having 18mo DD1 to look after with no help and having sinusitis I think I actually lost my mind that week remember DP coming home early every day think he was scared.

spugs - thanks for doing the update, any newbies can add their details in case we've forgotten anyone. There really is loads of us now isn't there?

wendyredhead · 21/07/2007 00:11

Excuse my ignorance but being a newbie not up on this malarky. Is this a continuation of the Due March 2008 - is it real?

Does someone add a new thread when they get too long?

Bky · 21/07/2007 08:05

sweetkitty - it was me who asked about the age gap, thanls for the info. The more it sinks in the more the prospect of having two so young is terrifying me, should have thought this through.

Oh and I am not on the stats list how do i get added? think I am due around the 12th March. got a DD who is 10 months and am in Leeds.

merryberry · 21/07/2007 09:31

Yes wendy redhead it is the next march thread - there is a link from the old thread to this one. it was too long for mobile phones and dial up connections to manage easily. x

merryberry · 21/07/2007 09:34

Sweetkitty, if you do have a go at running back through the thread for new stats, I've whipped in and done the asy bit: added Bky here cos she was easy to see. Am rushing out the door on chores errands. Sorry not to be more thorough.

Morning lovely ladies - wow, been away for a couple of days with work and loads of posts to catch up on!!

Congratualtions to all the new BFPs!!! The rainy weather over the last few months has obviously meant people are spending more time indoors making babies!! It looks like March is going to be a bumper baby month!

Have been away with work for a couple of days and it was incredibly difficult to try and hide the fact I wasn't drinking (am known for my love of wine, so was v worried that being off it would be noticed). Think I managed to get away with it, feigning a headache and having to go to bed early. The next day we then had team building which involved go-cart racing - couldn't believe it!! So again had to get out of it with a lame excuse!!

I'm really feeling very unpregnant (is that a word?) at the moment. Sore boobs have calmed down, no ms, and to be honest I don't think I'm feeling any more tired than normal, so now worried that maybe my pg hormone levels aren't very high. I'll be really relieved to get to the 12 week stage... DP and I haven't told anyone yet, although will probably tell my family next weekend. My SIL who I'm really close to is currently 5 mths pregnant so think they will be over the moon.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend I'm going to a concert tonight, and have standing tickets, so hope my talking about not being tired and having no ms doesn't come back to haunt me!!

Minnow - sorry to hear about your experience - am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you xx

belgo · 21/07/2007 16:32

Hi everyone. I got my BFP two and a half weeks ago so was looking forward to joining this thread. But I think I'm miscarrying. I'm losing small amounts of blood and having cramps. I should be 7 weeks pregnant, but a scan and blood test today put me at 5 weeks. I don't think that's good news, but they won't be able to confirm aything until I have a second blood test on monday.

I'm lucky enough to already have two dds, and no previous miscarriages.

Feel in limbo at the moment, just waiting for it to happen.

Lcy · 21/07/2007 16:56

Sorry to hear that Belgo - i hope the second blood test goes ok x

belgo · 21/07/2007 17:00

Thanks Lcy. Maybe I will get good news on monday - but the cramps are getting worse, and I'm fearing the worst.

spugs · 21/07/2007 17:21

belgo - im really sorry to hear that, i hope every thing goes ok for your next tests.
Mumof monsters - my last lmp was the 13th as well we can be pregnancy buddies if you like (seem to have had some similar goings on recently )
hi everyone else as well, hubby just cooked fry up so back later

lolabell · 21/07/2007 17:35

Hi all,

I am new to this site today. Hope things are ok for everyone.

I have read your posts about sickness and thought I would add my experiences. I found out I was pregnant on Monday and think I'm about 5 weeks (due March 18th 2008). I feel sick most of the day but especially in the afternoons. It feels like bad motion/car sickness. Is it normal to feel sick so early into pregnancy? I went to see my GP and he wasn't very helpful to be honest, however I'm booked in to see the midwife on 10th August. Is this be my booking appointment? There's so much to take in for new mums to be!!!

Many thanks.

belgo · 21/07/2007 17:38

lolabell- congratulations - yes it is normal to feel so sick at this stage. Different things work for different people, but make sure you eat regularly and get plenty of rest.

lolabell · 21/07/2007 17:45

Thanks belgo. I have been sleeping loads. Am a primary school teacher and just finished for the summer so looking forward to doing nothing. Hope you're feeling ok and good luck on Monday.

wendyredhead · 21/07/2007 21:46

Belgo - so sorry you're going through this & hope all turns out OK for you.

Abbybaby & Lolabell - hi I'm new too, just got my ++ 2 days ago so I'm probably the last to just squeeze into this March thread. Hope your scan goes well on Monday and Lolabell although I didn't get any sickness last pregnancy and none so far in this one, I'm quite sure it's common even at this stage.

I don't really feel pregnant yet, only odd twinges and stabs and mildly tender BBs and slightly bloaty.

I'm not even sure when I should book midwife appntmnt either because Doc wasn't helpful at all - said just to speak to a receptionist and she'd tell me. He didn't want to know anything! I'm feeling ABANDONED BOO HOO . Not really just kiddin.

I did hear that scans are earlier these days - say 6-8 weeks so even if I am only 4 weeks I'd rather get myself booked into midwife to get all the lowdown in my area.

mcchesers · 22/07/2007 10:31

Hey ladies. Anyone here in Glasgow? I'm first time pregnant, 7 weeks (i think) , and have calculated due early March 2008.
I started off eating anything I could fit in my face and then had one bad day of sinus migraines and horrible nausea, and returned pale with an intense sense of smell. The rest has just been what all y'all have been sharing. Sore, swollen breasts, exhausted and a bit seasick. Not to mention the marathon napping interspursed with mad cleaning frenzies. I'm still not used to the idea of all of this, but I reckon it just takes time to get comfortable with the fact that I am no longer at the helm of this ship. Am I right?

I've had one visit to the doctor. My normal doctor is on annual leave and the male doctor on duty nodded, smiled, and sent a referral to somewhere, God only knows. My family are all in the states, and I'm feeling pretty in the dark here. It's been nice to hear other women going through the same as me. Apparently it's the first 10 weeks that are the hardest.

monthlymayhem · 22/07/2007 10:37

Hi Mcchesers! I'm a 15 min drive from Glasgow, and a first timer too . I've been lucky so far with only sore boobs to complain about, but I'm only 5.5 weeks pg so am sure the rest is still to come! I have a dr appt on Wednesday and my normal GP is on holiday too, so hoping the stand in will be decent as I've got 101 questions to ask!!

Which hospital will you be going to?? I'll be going to the RAH.
