Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

Is anyone absolutely lashing in sweat? I’m 4 weeks and waking up soaking constantly 🤣 is this normal? 🤣

@stressedoutorknockedup I take these and often take them with just water. I like to take them first thing so I don't forget and can't eat that early in a morning x

Disaster struck today. Had a vivid nightmare about miscarriage then woke up with tonsillitis, what a wonderful morning!

I get it regularly and chronic, I was hospitalised in Feb for it and ended up with sepsis. Staying with my partner so couldn't even pop to my Dr! Started as an itch at 6am, now 1pm and it's so swollen I cant eat or drink already. At a walk in centre but I have another 2.5h wait roughly to see a Dr. Very anxious and worried :(

@Anon120 I used Peacocks a lotast time. Few stores by me has actual maternity clothes in stock. Loved their leggings. Bit sad it'll be too cold for shorts by the time I need them, they've got some cute denim ones.
Maternity pants and tights are a must, I think I used Mothercare but we don't have a local one any more.
Will raid the garage for it all after 12 week scan

Has anyone else got awful back ache? It’s right in the middle of my lower back, fine when I’m sat down but so sore when standing. Unfortunately, I don’t work a job where much sitting is involved

@Bentley111 @SleepingStandingUp I've been looking at boohoo, new look, h&m and primark to be honest! Keeping it cheap :) what would you say are the essential bits to get? There are some lovely more dressy tops/ dresses but am loathed to get much until the 12 week scan.. am 7 weeks today. Rang the GP and they said just wait for a call from the midwife 🤷🏼‍♀️

Depends on your style really.

I got some great jeans with high mater oty waists, so they covered the whole bump. Also got a short denim skirt with similar. Maternity leggings and smock style tops will prob be. Y staple, but you can get some cute maternity t shirts, bloues etc. too.

Ok, sorry to ask on here but I had a whole load of pink discharge this afternoon about two hours ago. Then another half an hour later streaked with red. What do I do? Will the doctors just say wait and see what happens or is there actually something they can do? Nothing since then I don't think.

Have you called the EPU @stressedoutorknockedup?

I think if you're anything less than 6 weeks a scan probably won't show anything. Try not to worry

@stressedoutorknockedup i had some pink discharge yesterday. Best bet is to ring 111 and find out what is advised in your area. They tried to get me an emergency appointment but as it was Sunday evening ended up advising me to go to A and E where i was seen by an obstetrician quite quickly, he gave me some temporary reassurance and booked me in for an early scan on wednesday. Fingers are crossed for you xx

I'm really late to the thread but got a Big Fat Positive!!!! on Saturday 18th may. First timer! EDD 22ND Jan. I'm so overwhelmed and also knackered! How do people keep this a secret for weeks, I feel like telling everyone I see!

Thanks. I spoke to triage but the epu is closed until tomorrow morning. I have a work meeting I can't get out of at 10.30 but will ring them at lunch time. It's not looking good though.

hi all, i'm new to the thread.
This is baby number 4.
I had my BFP on the 16th of this month which is 6 days before due on date, i know it's well early....but hoping things will be ok.....so by the online calculations i should be due around the 27th Jan.
Is anyone else due around the same time?
Would be nice to stay in touch.

Ergh just has a massive red bleed 😕 why does it always happen when EPU is shut? Waiting for DH to come home so we can go to a&e

This pregnancy business is stressful 😩 I keep doing loo paper inspections. Don't remember doing this with my others!

I'm 6 wks - I feel sick mainly in the evening but force myself to eat otherwise I get really bad rib pain -think it's hunger pains!! I feel sick too every time I rush about doing stuff and have to have a rest before I can get up again otherwise I'm physically sick! Not rushing around and trying with a 3 year old is pretty much impossible as is having a nap I'm sooo tired she occasionally lets me have 20 mins and she'll sit on the bed next to me playing with her paw patrol pups!! Also when she goes to Pre-school all day Tuesday and Wednesday I used to go to the gym now I just go to bed!!! My nipples are really tender and I have some cramping! Congrats newbies are sorry for those of you who have suffered losses it is extremely tough but you'll get thru it and I'm sure you'll get a sticky one soon! !! Xx
