Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

I'm so sorry to hear this @Gorillaandme ... double whammy today with bad news ... sending love xx

Croissantintheoven · 18/05/2019 19:00

Hi & congrats everyone. I am expecting my first baby on 03 Jan. I am being followed by a midwife here in Paris and he kindly let me have an early scan during a shift he was doing at the hospital, so I have heard the heartbeat and confirmed all is well. I will see him again with my second lot of blood results in a couple of weeks. I am not sure how different the French system is to the British one (I am a Brit). Looking forward to sharing things with you all and hearing more about your pregnancies. Bisous, Kerry Smile

There was a delay on that post, so I am really sorry for the lack of tact given recent news. Sending love to all. Blush

@Gorillaandme sorry to hear that x

@Croissantintheoven welcome!

Croissantintheoven · 18/05/2019 19:23

Hi all.

I'm 34 and this will be my second pregnancy.

Only got a positive test today and due on today so could still end.

But all being well I'll be due 24th January (by my dates)

Last pregnancy they changed my dates by 2 days and she was 8 days late.

I'm still unsure how I'm feeling about the whole thing tbh.

LittleRedSocks · 18/05/2019 19:31

Congratulations everyone! I’m 14dpo (at due today) but have been getting faint postitves on FRERS since 12dpo...nervous that hasn’t gotten darker yet? Have one DD (almost 3) and due Jan 25th by dates. One early MC before DD so nervous that the light lines mean it won’t stick...any experience of same with good outcomes please let me know! Symptoms: sore boobs, absolutely knackered, hungry and Thirsty all the time (so consequently weeing a lot) and slight ‘queasiness’ (but it’s minimal and passes - almost more a discomfort!). H&H 9 months to you all!!! X

GrandTheftWalrus · 18/05/2019 19:38

I dont have any symptoms at all. But I didnt with dd either and only tested to rule it out when I was a week late.

I only said to DP last night that I have a feeling my period wasnt coming today and that was it. No other feeling at all.

mynameisMrG · 18/05/2019 19:58

Welcome to all the newcomers! January is going to be a busy month 😊

grandtheftwalrus you sound like me!
I have a two year old and was looking forward to a summer of not feeling fat or postnatal, the beer gardens were calling me, I was booked to do a half marathon and now I’m just like ‘Oh, so this is happening’. January 10th. We did want another and DH is thrilled but I can’t muster up any feelings about it. Making me feel really guilty!

Chembecky · 18/05/2019 21:30

I'm a teacher...my husband and I conceived while on holiday on Italy in the Easter hols for our anniversary!

GrandTheftWalrus · 18/05/2019 21:36

@Anne I cried earlier so I suppose that was a feeling. I then thought of practical things like we still have the moses basket and prep machine etc but then I thought of no mat pay at work and having no money and it made me cry

AnneTwackie · 18/05/2019 21:45

@grand oh thank god it’s not just me! I did want another baby, I think, I’m just mourning the loss of my new found freedom and finally stable finances. We struggled to conceive our first so I feel so guilty for feeling ‘meh’. I will also have no money again which is just rubbish. We’ll manage but I want to live!

AnneTwackie · 18/05/2019 21:46

Hoping hormones are at play to make me feel rubbish and something will click when I get the scan or a bump.

plipliop · 18/05/2019 21:55

I feel completely elated and excited but every night I go to bed and think 'SHIT WHAT HAVE I DONE!'

I don't have any baby stuff anymore.

AnneTwackie · 18/05/2019 22:04

@plipliop how old is your little one? We still have all our stuff I think, not looking forward to digging out the maternity clothes!

plipliop · 18/05/2019 22:06

@AnneTwackie my little ones are almost 12 and 9. I think that's why I keep getting the fear!

AnneTwackie · 18/05/2019 22:21

@plippliop I had a 14 and a 12 year old when my last child was born- I completely get the fear! But honestly, no regrets about starting again, whole new adventure and so much fun for everyone! When are you going to tell them?

SleepingStandingUp · 18/05/2019 22:34

DS is 4, I refused to get rid of anything until DS gave me another baby!!

SleepingStandingUp · 18/05/2019 22:36

DH. Obviously

GrandTheftWalrus · 18/05/2019 22:47

Mine is 2.5 and I was looking forward to having to stop buying nappies soon. Looks like another 3 years of them!

plipliop · 18/05/2019 22:47

Oh that's good to know @AnneTwackie Smile
I think after first scan but that seems so far away... when did you tell yours?

I can't wait to tell them.
