Ah . Wondered if they'd be ok for a newborn. .Can't imagine they expel much or am I being naive?! I do have inserts though so no problem

Astret · 04/05/2019 10:50

@Myhomey we're doing the hypnobirthing online course from Positive Birth Company - I think a few other ladies are too! It's much more practical and reassuring than I expected :)

MyHomey · 04/05/2019 11:31

@Astret Ooo that's good to know others are doing it! I was recommended a lady who actually does f2f sessions locally and had my first one this week... I really liked it and it did make me feel more relaxed about the birth already!

MyHomey · 04/05/2019 11:32

I get a 20% discount on Bugaboo through work.. so that made up my decision for me! I'm quite glad I don't have to think about all the different options out there!

easterbuns1 · 04/05/2019 12:20

@Whisky2014 the pocket part is basically a wrap so needs to have something inside it. They only have a wee bladder for a start so pee frequently, not a huge volume obviously but they usually need changed quite a lot!

myhomey I'm doing the positive birth company digital pack too, but probs going to be having a C-section anyway. I'd just like to get it all done just incase I decide natural at the last minute!

TwittleBee · 04/05/2019 12:48

Trying to not worry so much but lost my mucus plug last night and had a but more lost today - both tinged pink. Didn't think too much of it because lost it so bloomin much with DS and MWs were never concerned, never needed me to go in and be checked.

But now been getting bad back ache and strong BHs, like I did with early labour. Plus have had awful shits this morning too, another typical sign....

Baby is moving fine still so not too worried. Guess I'll monitor it and if it gets worse then call triage?

DustyDoorframes · 04/05/2019 12:55

@TwittleBee did you go early last time? If so I'd ring now. At least they'll put your mind to rest, and tell you what to look out for. Xxx

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/05/2019 12:58

twittle i would phone now, if you get checked out then you will be reassured. How many weeks are you now? I was just thinking before how some ladies on here are probably very close to viability now! Although none of us would want to give birth any time soon it is reassuring i think to know that things can be done

TwittleBee · 04/05/2019 13:00

I'm coming up to 21 weeks, it's not so painful that I feel need to have a bath or take painkillers yet. Plus I have DS with me and no one to watch him if they do suggest I go in (well not till 4pm anyway).

My waters went at 36+5 last time but it's hardly early, early.

I am worried but I'll monitor it, if it gets worse by 4pm when my sister is picking up DS for a sleep over then I'll head into triage. It's only 3 hours to wait.

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/05/2019 13:04

Fingers crossed for you twittle

I never lost my plug until things were well under way with any of mine.

Fwiw you tend to have more BH etc with second plus babies. Stronger and more frequent.

As for back ache baby is getting big now and can give back ache anyway! I am achey as anything today because i have done too much this week! My back and pelvis are stiff and sore. I went to bed early last night as i was fantasizing about being flat ...

TwittleBee · 04/05/2019 13:24

Thank you Decaf that is reassuring, good point about the back aches and good to know about the BHs. Sorry that you're struggling with the back and pelvis thoigh!

Whisky2014 · 04/05/2019 13:30

I think plugs create again if you lose them? But deffo call and seek advice.

TwittleBee · 04/05/2019 13:39

Yeah they do get recreated, I lost mine so often with DS and MWs were never concerned

BBell2 · 04/05/2019 14:21

@Myhomey I just finished a hypnobirthing book (your body you birth I think) and am on a second now (sophie flecters), both have audios with them. I booked to do a taser with a local lady, she took my number to confirm and didn't...so I promptly forgot and got home from work later then the start time. Which I'm gutted about because I'm struggling with the visualisations.

Tefiti2 · 04/05/2019 14:31

Do we have a little roll call on what everyone’s having yet? I couldn’t see much in the spread sheet, but I feel we’re very girl heavy, unless I’m imagining it!

Moraxella · 04/05/2019 14:48

Boy here 🙋🏻‍♀️ spotted the crown jewels on the scan before they told me 😂

Can’t find any boys names I like

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/05/2019 14:49

Boy here also! 💙

stormtrooperjulian · 04/05/2019 14:51

Boy here!

I’m not on the spreadsheet, can’t edit it on my phone

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/05/2019 14:58

I cant remember if i managed to put myself on it!

TwittleBee · 04/05/2019 15:02

If someone can put the link back up of the spread sheet I would appreciate it! I can edit on my laptop later!

Boy here also! I feel like we were boy heavy haha

Stroan · 04/05/2019 15:25

@twittlebee hope everything's ok, i'd also phone but I know that our triage team are really good. I might not if I thought they would brush me off. Fingers crossed it settles down.

I had a bit of an emotional meltdown this morning over not feeling bonded (and because DH took DD trampolining and that was always MY thing but now I can't in case I bounce a baby out or something ..). Made a snap decision to go for a private gender scan - it's a boy!

I've cried floods of happy tears, and can honestly say that's the first time I've felt truly happy since the HG kicked in at 7 weeks.
