Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

Iv had two miscarrages also. Around the 7-9weeks mark. My friend had been struggling also and couple of people i know have had miscarrages then just started taking low dose asprin. They seem to swear by it. But im not entirely sure.my friends sister who is the obyn just said it will be good to take it. I know it thins the blood so will defo mention it at my first appointment. At this stage im just willing to try anything really. Having green roobius tea too. Strange but u never know hehe

Rastawife9 · 28/04/2019 18:38

Im new to this so not to sure how to tag someone in the post? Lol ughh

DaisyMay25 · 28/04/2019 21:07

@Rastawife9 on the app just do the '@' and it'll come up with a list

I'm still on blood thinners from ivf so I'm hoping that helps, I can't help but worry though. At the minute I've got nausea on and off all day, sore boobs and I'm totally wiped out

Bunnylover84 · 28/04/2019 23:16

Hello Ladies,
Please can I join. Found out a few days ago I’m pregnant and currently weeks 4 days. Had a chemical pregnancy before Christmas so super anxious for this one to stick but line is already stronger than it ever was in tests before and have such bad symptoms this time: nausea, exhaustion, super hungry then no appetite, sore boobs, mood swings, headaches, weird cramping, constipation and lots of cm. So taking that as a good sign! Have a gp app on Thursday and hoping all will be well. This is our first and so desperate for things to go well this time! Reckon I’m due approx 4th Jan 2020. Big congrats and well wishes to all.

LamppostInWinter · 28/04/2019 23:27

Just booked an early scan, found somewhere local with a special offer and felt it was a sign! It'll be the day before 7 weeks. With DS we had loads of bleeding and had a 6 week scan where we saw the heartbeat so fingers crossed!

I've had some pressure in my stomach today, hoping it's just trapped wind or things stretching out. Like PP said I have heavier discharge in pregnancy which makes me paranoid and go to the toilet loads to check all is well!

leclarke91 · 28/04/2019 23:47

@Bunnylover84 congratulations! Fingers crossed bubba sticks this time 🤞🏼
It sounds like you've got all the symptoms which is super reassuring!

Bunnylover84 · 28/04/2019 23:54

Thanks! Yeah really praying this little bubba is the one! Just taking things a day at a time at the moment. Thought I’d find it helpful to join a group to get and give support along the way! Hope things are going well with you!

Hi All!

Found out I'm pregnant yesterday so this is all very new.. a bit overwhelming to be honest. It was a shock as we weren't trying but it's exciting. Was wondering when you all think the best time would be to tell people? I was gonna wait until 3 month scan but unfortunately my parents have had plans to move abroad in the pipeline for months and I know that if I don't tell them sooner rather than later they would be gutted. I'm pretty sure my mum will end up changing her plans because of this haha!

Any advice? Also congrats to everyone :)
X

I think it's so personal to the individual and their situation Anon120. Personally I've had a couple of losses so I'll be keeping this one close until 12 weeks. I've told DH and my sister but that's it. If anyone asked I'd tell them but other than that it's staying quiet for a good while yet.

Congratulations BTW!

Kinsters · 29/04/2019 09:45

I think if your pregnancy is going to affect things then I'd mention something though. My parents were talking about visiting me later this year (I live overseas) so I'll have to tell them before they book tickets or anything as I'm sure they'd prefer to delay and visit the baby.

Anon120 · 29/04/2019 09:54

@Kinsters thanks :) and yes it is so subjective and I guess you have to just feel comfortable with it yourself. I'm just in a bit of a conflict as don't want my parents to end up changing plans if (god forbid) something bad happens. Have you booked any doctors appts yet?

DaisyMay25 · 29/04/2019 10:03

@Anon120 you can always get an early scan at 7/8 weeks? Chances of something going wrong decline a lot once you've seen a heartbeat

Kinsters · 29/04/2019 10:28

Anon120 I went to my drs straight away and she's booked me for an early scan in 3 weeks time (when I'll be almost 7 weeks I think). Last year we were in the small percentage who saw a strong heartbeat at 7+4 and then I miscarried anyway.

mynameisMrG · 29/04/2019 10:44

@Anon I think in your circumstances I would tell them if it is going to affect things, it’s entirely when you are comfortable.
Because of our history we are telling family at 16 weeks and friends at 20 (if we get that far!)
I always say if they are people you would talk to is something went wrong then it doesn’t matter if they know earlier xx

Anon120 · 29/04/2019 10:52

Thanks @Kinsters @mynameisMrG

Sometimes you over think things in your head and get yourself worked up. Being a newbie to all this means I feel like I'm stressing out about the tiniest things! X

Navy123 · 29/04/2019 10:53

I'm probably going to go the other way and tell people earlier - I'd rather have the support if we lost it. Will tell my parents around 6 weeks (or tomorrow if Mum figures it out when she visits!) and then anyone else as and when. Having lost 5 I find it easier to tell people the good news then the bad rather than straight with the bad - I find it less awkward! I know it is different with everyone though.

Chantalle3 · 29/04/2019 12:22

@navy123 I've done the same, I've told my parents and siblings. I figured I'd be pretty down if it's not successful and I would need their understanding. Also means I can vent some of this excitement/nerves!

Missmonkeypenny · 29/04/2019 13:35

I’ve had to tell people as this is an IVF pregnancy, we were open about going through treatment and so have been open about it working - is also rather the support if something goes wrong but it’s so personal!

I took another test this morning and it’s much darker! I still cant believe it, my embryo transfer was only last week.

That’s an amazing photo @missmonkeypenny 😊

Chantalle3 · 29/04/2019 14:07

@missmonkeypenny really pleased for you! I have a colleague who was successful after her first IVF cycle and she is due any day now.

I feel like time is passing so slowly to get out the danger zone!

LamppostInWinter · 29/04/2019 14:15

Missmonkeypenny that's an amazing difference!

Chantalle3* same, I've just been counting weeks on my calendar and 12 is so very far away!

Bunnylover84 · 29/04/2019 14:56

I know time is going so slowly right now...I guess rather than focussing on how far away we are from safer times we should just relish each day we are pregnant right now- easier said than done though isn’t it?! Are any of you really bloated and bunged up right now? I keep getting cramps and worrying it’s a bad sign and then it turns out to be trapped wind!! Feel like such a wally, worrying about every little thing... Got an app called Calm which I use when I need to relax and for sleep. Definitely recommend it!

frillyfarmer · 29/04/2019 15:06

@Navy123 I'm the same - I am quite open about previous losses so I don't mind telling people who I would rely on for support anyway.

I'm also quite a social butterfly so people will be wondering where I am/why I'm not drinking this bank holiday weekend - I went to ground during my first pregnancy as it's too suspicious seeing me with a coke 😂

Anon120 · 29/04/2019 15:09

@Bunnylover84 yes me too! Although my cramps/ two gets seem to be more on my left side.. is that normal? Have had a cold for the last 2 weeks too Hmm

Anon120 · 29/04/2019 15:09
