Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

I am bleeding! Quite heavily although not enough to go on a pad!

Missmonkeypenny · 12/05/2019 09:41

Ducky it’s not, I’m using Lutigest which is vaginal only so no chance of just using the other entrance Sad it was literally the tiniest amount but your head just runs riot!

TiredStepMum · 12/05/2019 09:57

@cookielove stay strong and keep everything crossed ❤️

Ducky881 · 12/05/2019 10:01

@missmonkeypenny I totally know what you mean, even though spotting is common it's hard not to feel worried with any little change, even when the nurses say it's fine/normal! I've done a few ivf cycles and have definitely had some irritation of the cervix from suppositories which has also caused some mild spotting.. it's very normal (unfortunately!) xx

cookielove · 12/05/2019 10:09

Thank you @Tiredstepmum but i just know this is the end

Dandelion3 · 12/05/2019 10:11

Thanks @Ducky881 think i'll be 6w +3 for my viability scan next Monday, I think I'll just call up tomorrow and book in with GP anyway as there's always atleast a couple of weeks wait for an appointment! obviously all we focus on with fertility treatment is getting that BFP and I hadn't anticipated how nerve wracking it would feel now ! Just trying to relax as best I can it's just so hard not to analyse every little thing isn't it 😊 hope everyone else doing ok

Ducky881 · 12/05/2019 10:24

@Dandelion3 agreed, it's a total rollercoaster of emotions even after the bfp! I'm trying to relax and not look into things too much too, but I do have a wobble every now and then!

It's worth checking with your GP receptionist whether you need to self refer to the midwife, or if you need to go to your GP for them to make the referral, as I think it depends on what area you live in. In my area, I need to go to the gp and they make the referral

Chips84 · 12/05/2019 11:20

@cookielove I'm keeping all 🤞 for you. Stay strong hon.

DaisyMay25 · 12/05/2019 11:24

Hi @Dandelion3 I referred myself to the midwife at 5+3, she called and gave me an appointment for when I'll be 9 weeks, I have my viability scan last Thursday and they asked me if I've already referred myself to the midwife. On the paperwork they gave me afterwards it was underlined. So yes sooner rather than later. Also my scan was the transvaginal one, I think they only do those at ivf clinics but best to check if you're not certain.

Best of luck today @MrsH497

I hope the bleeding eases off soon @cookielove

@Seahawk80 hopefully that tiny amount us all you get

@Missmonkeypenny how annoying you can't do them rectally! I've only done mine that way because I know vaginally it's cause irritation. Hopefully it passes soon but I have heard of it being common. When's your scan?

Missmonkeypenny · 12/05/2019 11:34

Daisy my scan is on the 23rd at 7+1 so in a week and a half - I’m almost tempted to pay for a private one before then but that may just be my hormones talking. I’ve not had any more since that one episode and it honestly was the smallest amount mixed in with pessary goo ( think the size of a pin hear) but it has set the fear in me.

Bunnylover84 · 12/05/2019 12:37

Ladies, I’m writing with some sad news.
On Friday morning I went with OH to have 6 week scan just to make sure all was fine as I’d had some spotting and painful cramping on one side. When they did the scan it wasn’t good news. There and then they confirmed a live ectopic pregnancy in my right tube. The staff were amazing and explained they had to rush me to theatre and on Friday afternoon I had my tube as well as little bubba removed. Words can’t even begin to describe the pain both physical and emotional right now. Got home last night and it hit me hard. Hubby is being amazing. I’m obviously going to remove myself from the group now but I wanted to thank you all for your amazing support in this part of my journey and wish you all very healthy bundles of joy and smooth journeys along the way. X

CatRash · 12/05/2019 13:42

Welcome to all the new faces on the thread and congratulations.

To all those facing spotting and bleeding I have my fingers crossed for you all. It's very common in the first trimester so try not to worry. I had a huge, heavy bleed with my first at 14 weeks - clots, cramps, back ache etc. which lasted two weeks - all was ok and the bleed was unexplained.

BowiesJumper · 12/05/2019 13:51

So sorry to hear that @Bunnylover84
Look after yourself. Xx

primarywoodle · 12/05/2019 14:57

SleepingStandingUp · 12/05/2019 15:01

Bunny I'm so sorry

Cookie keeping everything crossed for you xx

Gillster · 12/05/2019 15:18

So sorry Bunny, that’s heartbreaking. Keeping my fingers crossed for those with spotting and bleeding. It’s such a worrying time. I had a reasonable bleed around the same time (about 5+3) with DS and thought it was all over. It turned out OK though.

The lack of sleep finally caught up with me last night. Crashed out on the sofa 8:30pm -10:15pm last night and managed a reasonable night’s sleep too. DS even slept in to 7:50am so that was amazing!

Off to Centreparcs tomorrow with the in-laws. Wondering how I can get through the next 5 days without them clocking that i’m not drinking. Going to be tough!

Ducky881 · 12/05/2019 15:42

@bunnylover84 I'm so sorry.. I hope you and your dh are ok and that you are being well supported at this difficult time. I hope your recovery goes well xxx
