Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

Ooh @plipliop excellent, you primary or secondary?

plipliop · 01/05/2019 21:05

@mynameisMrG primary. You?

mynameisMrG · 01/05/2019 21:07

Same 😊

MrsPandigital · 01/05/2019 21:14

@mynameismrG @plippliop I admire SENCOs 😊 I'm a maths teacher @ secondary!

mynameisMrG · 01/05/2019 21:20

Lots of teachers together 😊 I’m dreading telling work, I only started there last term

MrsPandigital · 01/05/2019 21:30

@mynameismrG I wonder when we HAVE to tell them by? I've been at my school 4 years now & my head of dept will probably cry (happiness) when I tell her haha!

plipliop · 01/05/2019 21:33

I'm dreading telling mine too.
I don't think anyone will be expecting it as my youngest is 9!

maym · 01/05/2019 21:47

Hi hope you don't mind if I join just found this thread! I found out I was 1-2 weeks last week and worked out I'm due on 02/01/20! Very excited but haven't really had any symptoms yet apart from minor cramps and very tired.. is this normal I'm not sure how I should feel at this point as this is my first!! X

Rastawife9 · 01/05/2019 21:51

@maym hey there. I literally am in the exact boat. Iv just been soo tired and some cramps here ans there slightly sore nipples. But somehow cant help but feel if i should be experiencing more symptoms. Im slnot sure how to calculate my date. The first day of my last period was 25th march. I think i ovulated 13th april. And my cycles are roughly 34 days.so no idea which one to go by lol

maym · 01/05/2019 21:58

@Rastawife9 hiya congratulations! I'm glad somebody is the same as me haha puts my mind slightly at rest, I've read that most people get the main symptoms at around 6 weeks so maybe that's why! I used to calculator on the clear blue site to figure out my due date maybe give that a try to give a rough idea! :)

Iamneverfull · 01/05/2019 22:03

Hi, im a bit scared, I've got a stomach pain, like a slight burning sharp pain. There is no blood but im so frightened as it doesn't feel right. I'm only 5 weeks, do I just have to wait or can I ring an early pregnancy unit. We tried for 6 years and I don't think I will cope with a miscarriage.

mynameisMrG · 01/05/2019 22:03

@MrsPandigital I think I read that it’s quite late you can tell them. I’ll tell my Head before summer though as it will be her that will cover my leave

Rastawife9 · 01/05/2019 22:16

@maym oh dab thanks. Looks like im roughly due 5th jan 2020. Wooo. I need to
work out how many weeks i am lol

CatRash · 01/05/2019 22:16

@iamneverfull Is it like sharp pulling pain on the inside of your hip bones? If so probably just ligaments stretching etc. I had it really bad in my first pregnancy at 6 weeks and could barely walk as a result!! It only lasted a week then eased off.

CatRash · 01/05/2019 22:18

Iamneverfull · 01/05/2019 22:19

I'm not sure, i can't really describe it? It's above my pelvis and it feels like one of my ovaries burning?

Iamneverfull · 01/05/2019 22:20

Thank you carwash I will read that now

Izabelus · 01/05/2019 22:24

@Iamneverfull I've been feeling the same
pain (it feels like my ovary) but I think it's all stretching and adjusting inside. I mentioned this to my doctor today and she said that I can get an early scan (there are walk-in early pregnancy units where you don't need a referral letter from your GP). Just an idea to put your mind at ease. Hopefully the sensations will pass soon!

Iamneverfull · 01/05/2019 22:26

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I might see if we have one where I live!

leclarke91 · 01/05/2019 22:58

@Chantalle3 my due date is 5th January on some websites, but 7th January based on other websites and the first day of my last period.

leclarke91 · 01/05/2019 23:00

@Redorangeyellowgreen I self referred about a week ago and within a couple of days my appointment letter came through the post. I've been quite lucky as my midwife seems very on the ball!

leclarke91 · 01/05/2019 23:03

@Chantalle3 I agree, waiting to hear back until you're 8 weeks does seem very last minute. Maybe query it because that seems quite disorganised

leclarke91 · 01/05/2019 23:03

Welcome and congratulations to all new Mama's-to-be 😊

leclarke91 · 01/05/2019 23:04

Those going through a tough time with worries and bleeding, thinking of you all! My sister-in-law bled at around 8 weeks and went on to have a perfectly happy and healthy baby (my niece 😊)

leclarke91 · 01/05/2019 23:07

Seen a previous poster write about a website that reassures you about the rates of miscarriages, it drops as the days/weeks go by. Here it is:
datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php

I found it really helped to visually see the percentage of NOT miscarrying, rather than reading up about everything that MIGHT go wrong.
