DH brought flowers home tonight, it's a year ago today I had my MMC, I'd thought he'd forgotten, plus he also bought red velvet cake too so he's earned some major brownie points. He did however get treated to a pregnancy hormone related sob because he is so lovely 😊 so you're not the only one @kyles101 that is at the mercy of the pregnancy hormones 😂

kyles101 · 15/03/2019 21:11

Well i told my mummy and she said that's exactly what they felt like for her so I'm taking it as a win 🤗 @MegCharlotte so we're one day apart? It's so nice to have a little group going where everyone's about the same stage... friends, colleagues etc. Can only take so much baby brained ramblings!

@Florencenotflo What a lovely dh!

So, tonight to break up the boring I uploaded a scan pic to one of those nub theory Facebook groups and have got 2 boys so far... Chinese calendar also saying boy and my sister has always referred to pod as he/him. Easy pregnancy makes me think boy too... but my skin was truly awful for a few weeks in he beginning which would be my one girl "sign". If I get really bored I might have to take my wedding ring off and start swinging it over my bloat bump

Fortheloveofscience · 15/03/2019 21:15

Florence he sounds lovely what a kind thing to do to make a hard day easier Flowers.

Thanks to everyone for making me feel less crazy, I’m just about to have a shower and aiming to be in bed by 9.30. Almost didn’t go to work but I could give myself a reasonably easy day and feel better than sitting at home by myself.

Common sense starting to re-assert itself after a comfort dinner of honey on toast Blush. Plus if you google what I did and stay away from the official published data then all you get is people saying that it turned out fine. There’s so much else that can go wrong in pregnancy that it seems silly to focus on this one thing after the registrar told me that she was completely happy with how baby and placenta looked.

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/03/2019 08:42

florence how sweet is your DH!

science i can only imagine how worrying the whole ordeal must have been, fwiw i know people always say dont use a doppler it causes more stress but i hired one in my first pregnancy and got on fine with it

15+2 and my face has erupted in spots again

DustyDoorframes · 16/03/2019 08:50

science I'm glad you are feeling a bit calmer! It's so stressful!

BBell2 · 16/03/2019 09:20

Dating scanned yesterday (already put on the facebk group that I was a blubbering mess) but DD moved to 26th August so back to where I thought...just convinced myself I was 13weeks today on MWs maths and I'm not but feeling better so it doesn't matter

Moraxella · 16/03/2019 09:20

What kind of excecise are people doing? Looking for ideas and wondering if there’s scope to increase mine

Lavellan · 16/03/2019 09:43

I've just signed up for yoga bellies. Excited! I needed something else apart from swimming. I'm a decent swimmer but it's so dull just going up and down.

excitednerves · 16/03/2019 09:48

Is anyone else struggling with the weight gain? I’m 15+4 and feeling so fat! I know my baby is growing etc but I don’t have a bump yet, just look generally bigger. I knew I wasn’t going to be one of those pregnant women with a lovely neat bump who look not-pregnant from behind. Every pound shows on me as I’m short and already curvy/hourglass. I’m starting to outgrow my pre pregnancy clothes but without a proper bump I feel like I just look like I’m packing on the pounds and struggling to feel happy with how I look.

I’m trying to get back to exercising - I’ve really cut back in first trimester as I was so tired - and making better food choices to make sure I’m not gaining excess weight, and obviously remembering that my body is doing an amazing thing right now.

Sorry for the long moan. Is it just me?

Easterbuns1 · 16/03/2019 09:50

Florence that's lovely that he remembered without any prompting, I hope the day was as ok as it could be for you.

I really want to go to aqua natal as I think it will help my pelvis when if / when it gets worse but there's only an evening class and it's 25 miles away so not sure how it will work with the older two. Wish there was one at my local pool.

Easterbuns1 · 16/03/2019 09:53

@excitednerves I said similar the other day, I have a proper bump now but I'm still struggling, probably because I know I looked like a blimp near the end and after having my youngest. I struggle with my self image at the best of times despite being pretty slim. Then I feel guilty for being vain because I'm so happy there's a baby growing in me and way something to cheer myself up. Hopefully I make peace with my growing body at some point!

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/03/2019 10:10

My exercise = chasing four dc and trying to keep my house is decent order ....

excitednerves · 16/03/2019 10:11

Same @easterbuns1. I hope that when I can feel baby it’ll make the pregnancy feel more real too. Roll on proper bump time!

Also keenly following the exercise chat too! Definitely need to get my ass back in gear!

DustyDoorframes · 16/03/2019 10:25

Aaaa @BBell2 that's great, I knew there was someone else yesterday.
Mine's at noon on Monday. I know someone else is on Monday too, but I'm awful at names so I've forgotten who!! Feeling v jittery, but I'll be so glad to tell the kids- I'm rubbish at secrets and I've been biting my tongue to not accidentally give the game away...
Re exercise- pilates makes all the difference to me, but my usual class won't take pregnant women, and the teacher I saw in my last pregnancy has moved away. Better get googling... I really enjoyed aqua natal last time too, but only at the v end as round here all the classes are on my work days. Does trudging back and forth on the school run count???

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/03/2019 10:35

Our dc know now. We still have some people who dont know who we need to tell before its full on public knowledge but tbh we arent seeing them so it might not be in person

Moraxella · 16/03/2019 10:40

I’m trying to ignore the aversions and sickness and just make salad etc. It’s actually tolerable when I go to eat it, it’s the prep that nearly kills me 😷

Im trying to keep running, I’m fairly slow. Do park run and have seen someone do it to 30/40 so that’s my aim! Still going to HIIT classes but is noticeably harder and a therefore a bit demoralising; I’ll continue.

Just feel and look fat!

Going to get the road bike out this week and gear up for some commuting 😬

Moraxella · 16/03/2019 10:47

@easternuns1

I feel guilty for vanity too (well, not vanity to the extent of Kayla Itsines etc 😮) but it’s the mental health effects I miss the most!!

DustyDoorframes · 16/03/2019 11:03

@Moraxella your doing well running and doing HIIT, however slow! Hold your head high amazing lady!! Remember you've half as much blood again to pump round so of course it's harder!

boodles101 · 16/03/2019 11:47

Zero exercise from me since getting a bfp. I used to do several weight training classes plus hiit and cardio each week so I was pretty fit. No way I could do any of that now. I do walk the dog twice a day on relatively long walks, whilst pushing my DS in the buggy so that will do for now. I would like to try some pregnancy yoga and swimming if I get a bit of energy back!

Megan2018 · 16/03/2019 12:19

A benefit of being older is that I stopped worrying what other people think about how I look some years back, so I’m embracing the fat! I’m finding the body changes interesting so far. Although the desperately itchy nipples are not my favourite!

No exercise here apart from that involved with the horse but there’s been no riding this week in the wind. Hopefully normal service will resume next week though.

MyBreadIsEggy · 16/03/2019 14:27

Zero exercise happening here either - unless babywearing my 2 and a half year old counts?! He’s a scrawny little thing so it’s hardly classed as a weight bearing exercise Blush

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/03/2019 15:09

Omg eggy i stuggle to lift dc4 these days! (2.5years)

MyBreadIsEggy · 16/03/2019 16:03

IVEgot he’s a dinky little dot - always has been. Because of all his allergies, he has such a restricted diet, and as a result has always struggled to gain weight. At his last dietician check up last month, he was barely scraping 20lbs. He’s perfectly healthy - just scrawny Confused

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/03/2019 16:40

Bless. Dc4 is made of cement.

happydays00 · 16/03/2019 16:55

I'm finding my DD heavy to carry around now. Cycling sets off my pregnant induced sciatica (joy!) so I am going to head to the gym next week to do some light cardio / weights. Am absolutely determined not to end up the fat, swollen mess I was at the end of pg with DD.
