Ps welcome tobe!

MyBreadIsEggy · 14/03/2019 19:11

Dusty My DH has been working away for a few weeks, so I sent him a picture today and he’s shocked at how much my bump has “popped” Blush
Apparently it’s true what they say: you get bigger with each baby Confused

TwittleBee · 14/03/2019 19:13

My app reckons that from week 13 is when our bumps and our weight will start to dramatically increase! Think I've certainly popped since hitting week 13 (didn't pop till post 20 weeks with DS!)

Whisky2014 · 14/03/2019 19:17

I haven't popped and im 16 weeks but this is my first. I think it says from 13 week if youve had a previous baby?
My boobs are bloody massive though. When I got home I went over to my husband and gave him a cuddle and he said "you bounced over here!" And looked at my boobs and said he isn't used to them yet. They were big anyway!

Megan2018 · 14/03/2019 19:44

@Whisky2014
I have definitely popped but boobs not changed much at all. They went a cup size bigger at 5 weeks and nipples are bigger but that’s it. Still small! Blush

Whisky2014 · 14/03/2019 19:47

I m so jealous.. I want to pop!
Well, I'm just hoping my boobs stop growing now otherwise I'll just be a walking bosom!

MyBreadIsEggy · 14/03/2019 19:47

Looking back at pictures, I’m as big now at 13 weeks with DC3 as I was at 20 weeks with DC1 Blush

Whisky2014 · 14/03/2019 19:48

No way eggy bread! Funny how it's such a change

Easterbuns1 · 14/03/2019 19:54

I feel like an actual whale. I feel guilty for saying it because I'm so glad there's a healthy baby in there but I absolutely hate looking at myself just now I'm really struggling with how my body is changing.

MyBreadIsEggy · 14/03/2019 20:03

Easter I’ve felt like that with every single pregnancy.
I’m naturally a very petite person (Thanks Mama Wink), so pregnancy changes are very tough for me - I notice the slightest weight gain, and then there’s the enormous boobs that appear out of nowhere when I’m usually flat chested Confused
I’m grateful that I have a healthy baby, but at the same time I kind of wish I could just lay an egg at the bottom of the garden and wait 9 months for it to hatch instead Blush

Easterbuns1 · 14/03/2019 20:24

It's awful, I ballooned with the older two because I couldn't walk with my spd, so just ate for comfort and obviously wasn't burning anything. Terrified of doing the same again. I'm tall and pretty slim generally but I seem to turn into some sort of Munster when I'm expecting. It does make me feel less terrible knowing I'm not alone though, been feeling very guilty and vain!

MyBreadIsEggy · 14/03/2019 20:34

Easter with the first, I had such hideous hyperemesis I actually lost weight initially from all the vomiting. Then they weighed me on my way into delivery suite the day she was born, and it turns out I’d only gained 9lbs through the whole pregnancy and she was 6lbs of that!
With the second I felt like an absolute elephant even though I gained what would be considered a quite normal amount of weight - it just all felt very alien to me because of how poorly I was during the first pregnancy.
I’ve definitely gained weight with this one, and my boobs are huge. I just feel uncomfortably “full” all the time of that makes sense? Like the slightest bit of pressure even from maternity jeans makes me want to vomit or shit myself Blush as soon as I put loose jogging bottoms on, I’m all good!

DustyDoorframes · 14/03/2019 20:38

I'm naturally slightly underweight, so put on absolutely tons of weight in pregnancy - I put on 22kg with my first! But yep, I reckon I'm also as big visually now at 11 weeks with DC3 as I was at 20 or so with DC1... your body just sogs straight into it with subsequent pregnancies, I guess!

Stroan · 14/03/2019 21:02

I've got a prominent bump at 15 weeks and have been in maternity clothes since before 12 weeks. I'm probably about the size I was at 20 weeks last time too.

Really, really struggling with weight gain and not being able to exercise. Mentally and physically. Not helped by a horrible consultant appointment last week where she made me cry about weight gain. Despite the HG, i've put on about 1.5 stone already - as soon as I touch carbs the weight piles on and I've been mainlining carbs to stave off the nausea. Before I got pregnant I was on a really strict diet and exercised every day in Dec and I feel pretty rubbish about wasting all that hard work.

Completely freaking out I gave myself an electric shock unplugging the tumble dryer with slightly damp hands.

Waiting for 111 to call me back, but terrified I’ve stopped baby’s heart.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 14/03/2019 22:29

@Fortheloveofscience try not to worry too much - I gave myself an electric shock at 38 weeks last pregnancy. Didn’t shoot me back completely but had a nasty shock through my arms. Baby was absolutely fine but had midwife check heartbeat nonetheless xx

IVEgottheDECAF · 14/03/2019 22:33

Hope they phone back soon science and check you over for peace of mind

Fortheloveofscience · 15/03/2019 00:24

I am so grateful for the NHS.

111 sent me to A&E, I’ve had an ECG and blood tests to check I’m ok (which, tbh, I’m not at all worried about). But at this time of night someone from gynaecology is coming down to give me a scan and check that everything’s ok. I’m amazed was totally expecting at best to have a scan arranged for some time next week.

TwittleBee · 15/03/2019 04:12

Oh what a fright! Hope everything is okay Fortheloveofscience have you been seen?

Megan2018 · 15/03/2019 07:08

@Fortheloveofscience
Hope you are at home asleep and everything is well!

Florencenotflo · 15/03/2019 07:18

I'm overweight. When I had Dd I was 2.5 stone lighter the day I came home than the day I found out I was pregnant. I think because I gave up caffeine (no tea = no biscuits) stopped drinking fizzy drinks, after about 10-12 weeks when the nausea and food aversions lifted I was eating so healthily, lots of lean meat and fish, salads, homemade soup etc. I just stopped eating all the crap I used to eat.

I'm still overweight but not as much as I was with dd this time, but expecting the same thing. Maybe not a loss but I could do with maintaining the same weight throughout. Being a bit bigger, I'm not looking forward to a summer pregnancy I must admit! Especially if it's as hot as it was last year!

I've got a definite bump now. I've told my boss but not my team at work. I just want to get past 20weeks. Luckily being a bit chubby I've just worn baggy tops and jumpers, they probably think I've been at the pies 😂 unless I wear something tighter and stand up straight it doesn't really look like a bump!

TwittleBee · 15/03/2019 07:24

So not looking foward to summer pregnancy! I laboured through a heat wave with DS and omg it was horrid but I was only 37 weeks so not even proper at the end of pregnancy when it gets real tough.

Easterbuns1 · 15/03/2019 07:28

@Fortheloveofscience hope all is ok this morning, I'm sure we are all thinking of you.

MyBreadIsEggy · 15/03/2019 07:59

@Forthelove hope all is ok this morning Brew

One thing appears to be consistent in all of my pregnancies: my immune system completely gives up on itself and I spend majority of the first 4-5 months permanently ill Hmm Felt rough for a few days - shivery, tired, sore throat etc. Woken up this morning to tonsils converednin white crap and feeling like I’ve swallowed a porcupine Hmm Delightful.
And paracetamol is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
The joys of cultivating humans hey?!

Stroan · 15/03/2019 08:04

@fortheloveofscience hope all is ok X
