@ScotsBaby2 We will be staying team yellow. I have 3 DD already, so DH thinks we will be having a girl. I think maybe a boy this time as some of my symptoms are slightly different.

EverythingNow · 10/03/2019 10:28

@genome, I have 3 dd too so fully expecting this one to be a girl too.

keebo · 10/03/2019 10:31

@bakingabean I've still not felt anything since but your post made me realise perhaps why - I'm not very good at relaxing! My swimsuit was the first thing I've grown out of, mostly due to boobs rather than bump though. It's still not a proper bump, just a bit rounder looking. I've got a wedding in early April and am desperately trying to find something to wear which won't make me feel frumpy but without spending a fortune because I might only wear whatever I find once. It's so hard!
@genome, glad you're in the yellow club 💛

PinkLady89x · 10/03/2019 11:16

Just had a reassurance scan and all was perfect with our little person ❤️.
I mentioned that I could feel little flicks and then some days nothing and it worried me and they said that was totally normal and if it's back faces your stomach then you won't feel it. Thought that was good information to share! Hope everyone is well 😊

Jokie · 10/03/2019 11:28

@PinkLady89x great news about your scan and good point about the movement flicks.

genome · 10/03/2019 11:29

@EverythingNow I'm bracing myself for the 'trying for a boy this time' comments!

QueenofFox · 10/03/2019 17:22

@genome we've had so many people say "third roll of the dice huh, this time you'll be lucky". Although I'm thrilled to be having a boy would have loved a girl, and am almost annoyed that these people who think we were just trying for a boy feel justified in some way. Maybe that's pregnancy logic but I don't get why people get so fixated on gender.

sacrecoeur0712 · 10/03/2019 18:26

@QueenofFox I've had a few friends who've been absolutely gushing about the fact we're having a girl 'at last'. I find it a bit awkward and don't want people to think we only tried for a girl. It took me four years to get pregnant for goodness sake, I'm thrilled we're having a girl but I would have been delighted with another boy too.

ABearandABump · 10/03/2019 19:13

@ScotsBaby2 we had our 'gender scan' today - I caved to the pressure. But I haven't had the bottle to open my envelope with it in yet.

I've got a gut feeling we're team girl.

UnicornDust17 · 10/03/2019 19:29

@PinkLady89x I'm really pleased your scan went well and it so nice to to hear about the movements. I've had them regularly for a few for few days and then hardly any today, so feel a bit better now reading this.... Flowers

ScotsBaby2 · 10/03/2019 21:51

@keebo try eBay or Fbook Marketplace for Seraphine or Isabelle Oliver clothes. They are very beautiful but expensive. I doubt many folk wear their maternity formal wear more than once. I hope you find something you are happy with.

Hi all... I'm 16w3d and the last few days I just don't feel pregnant... Anyone else? I thought a bump was developing, even days when I looked really pregnant, but it's sort of disappeared. Even the firmness at the bottom of my tummy doesn't seem so firm. All symptoms now gone, but they had been gradually going the last couple of weeks.
Last check up (15 weeks) was fine. Most likely all in my head, I just can't bear the thought of this going wrong!

laura0390 · 11/03/2019 08:56

Hi everyone
Is it too late to join?! Just found this thread.
Due 27th August with 1st baby.

I have 16 week midwife appointment this afternoon and really hoping she listens for the heartbeat as I hardly feel pregnant at all now and another 3 weeks until 20 week scan! Although I know if she doesn't find it it will just make me panic even more!!
X

sacrecoeur0712 · 11/03/2019 16:23

@dreaming174 my bump definitely feels hard at times and softer at other times, I'm sure everything is fine but might be worth ringing your midwife for some reassurance?

@laura0390 welcome, you're due a few days after me. Hope mw appointment went well.

A little update from me - back to the prem clinic this afternoon for another cervical length scan and good news. I saw a different dr today who was extremely reassuring and feels I have very few indicators for premature delivery - she feels the weekly scanning is unnecessary and causes more anxiety than it saves. My cervix looks longer than last week and closed (maybe down to the progesterone I'm taking) so next checkup in a fortnight. I'm feeling a lot less concerned (plus I got a sneaky peek at baby which was lovely).

MrsRyan15 · 11/03/2019 16:30

Such good news @sacrecoeur0712 very happy for you. x

Welcome @laura0390

UnicornDust17 · 11/03/2019 16:43

Good news @sacrecoeur0712..! Fingers crossed for continue improvement 👍

sacrecoeur0712 · 11/03/2019 16:57

Thanks lovelies - one other thing. The midwife also told me 98.9% of low lying placentas move out of the way before delivery - thought that might be reassuring to those concerned about the placenta covering the cervix (mine is currently too).

ABearandABump · 11/03/2019 19:00

@dreaming174 I've had that for weeks. I wake up in the morning with a soft 'flat-ish' tummy and by mid morning it's a full hard bump.

I'm still having random bleeds each month. I'm putting it down to it being whenever my period was due, judging from google it's not a crazy idea as it seems. Rang my maternity unit, they've said since I had a private scan yesterday not to be too concerned, it if worsens to go in tomorrow to see them.

Hope everyone's pregnancies are treating them well! Xx

ScotsBaby2 · 11/03/2019 21:19

Welcome @laura0390

My bump is much smaller than it was even at 8 weeks. I'm now 17 weeks.

Started pregnancy yoga two weeks ago. OMG it's just so relaxing. I could have fallen asleep if the centre had remembered to put the heating on and it wasn't 3 degrees outside. 🥶 its a lovely hour of just me chilling out. So nice.

20 week scan went well - baby all fine, no concerns. Feel very relieved.
Who's up next... ???

Bakingabean · 11/03/2019 22:19

Hi! @laura0390 how did the appointment go? Did you get to hear a heartbeat?

@abearandabump I also wake up with barely any bump and then it gets bigger throughout the day. More than one person has told me it's tiny for 20 weeks and I wasn't even skinny to start with! I'm only 5ft1 so I'm not sure where baby is hiding!

Has anyone else got more energy now they are further along? I still don't sleep well (and getting up is hard) but during the day I actually feel pretty good.. before crashing again in the evening...

Bakingabean · 11/03/2019 22:20

@unicorndust17 glad the scan went well!! Over the hump and into the second half!

Whoopsies · 12/03/2019 06:39

@UnicornDust17 glad it went well. Mine is on Thursday!

@Bakingabean yes, I feel so much better now. Nowhere near as tired as I was!! Enjoying this second trimester feel good time before it goes downhill again!!

Snowflake9 · 12/03/2019 06:50

Can I please join? I am due with my first on 26th August!

Had my 16 week appointment yesterday, did anyone else get to hear a HB at this appointment? I wasn't offered that. She just read through my book, wrote a few things in did my blood pressure and off I went. Felt a bit gutted as my friends (from my hometown ) were able to hear at 16 wks.

Anywho, the headaches ! Yes , woke up every morning with a headache week 14/15 it seemed like a sinus headache so started putting Vicks under my nose before sleep and using an extra pillow and eventually they wore off. I try and drink through the night too.

That's enough of my ramblings for my first post here 😂

UnicornDust17 · 12/03/2019 06:56

@sacrecoeur0712 I was in the other 1.2% last time 😔
