Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

God I've become really wheezy. And am coughing but I dont feel ill. Just feels like my lungs are full or something. Very strange for me I never really cough or have breathing issues.

Megan2018 · 22/02/2019 22:30

@Whisky2014
I’ve been that for a couple of weeks. So annoying! I sound out of breath all the time.

Whisky2014 · 22/02/2019 22:36

Oh really? I noticed a very very slight wheeze but not for me to even think about really but today...every breath out, wheeze! I laugh then I need to cough. Is this a pregnancy thing?!

Lavellan · 22/02/2019 22:57

@supernoodley we're all learning, and tbf the workings of the NHS can be pretty opaque- not easy to find out the information until they tell you.

stroan · 22/02/2019 23:04

@excitednerves no, it’s next Thursday. I’ll be just over 13 weeks I think. Have you had yours?

@whisky2014 so wheezy! Even when I don’t feel out of breath, I’m wheezing away. And also sneezing! Huge, violent sneezes that hurt and all day long. I sit next to a germophobe at work and he is not coping with the sneezing!

(I do sneeze into a tissue and then use antibacterial hand gel, but he takes himself off to sit in empty meeting rooms!)

@Whisky2014
Apparently so! I googled it and it’s progesterone that causes it.

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/02/2019 06:53

11+3!

Morning all

Just wanted to say re the questions over bath temp, i always have hot baths! Have done in four previous pregnancies too and always been fine. I think because it doesn't stay hot for long its ok!

I am still being sick on and off. Especially after being in a car. Yuck. Scan in 10 days!

excitednerves · 23/02/2019 07:22

I’ve also had a few baths. I think as long as it’s not scalding hot it should be fine.

I’m also sneezing lots! I was convinced I’m fighting something off between the sneezes and the tiredness, but it never comes, and turns it it’s just a pregnancy thing. Who knew?

I’m still exhausted all the time though. By 2pm I’m knackered at work and yesterday had a nap on the tube on the way home!

@stroan mine was this Thursday. Everything looks good. Such a relief!

ChrisPrattsFace · 23/02/2019 08:37

Morning!
Had my scan the other day, put back a couple of days but everything looks ok.
Won’t prescribe any more antisickness even though I’m still ridiculously unwell! All my next appointments arranged for mid April! 😊

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Feeling a little anxious, all of a sudden feel like I'm not pregnant any more. There's been no bleeding, but my nausea seems to have pretty much gone, I'm nowhere near as hungry, my little bump looks smaller, my boobs aren't anywhere near as sore. Making me very nervous, and I will still got 2 weeks until my scan.

DustyDoorframes · 23/02/2019 09:22

@KnobJockey are you about 10 weeks? That's a classic time for symptoms to lift- your placenta is kicking in properly and taking over hormone production so you are not as affected by them. Hard not to worry though!
I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and feeling grotty as all hell. Roll on 12 weeks for one and all!!!

Fortheloveofscience · 23/02/2019 09:35

KnobJockey I think you’re about 10 weeks like me? I spent most of yesterday with a massive grin on my face because for the first time in weeks my energy levels have lifted, I ate pretty normally and felt like myself again. A bit of bloating last night but nowhere near as bad as the night before. I randomly threw up at 6.30, but it was a bit out of the blue rather than having felt nauseous for ages beforehand. This morning I had a coffee with breakfast, something I’ve not been able to stomach since 6 weeks.

I’ve decided that having got this far I’m just going to assume everything is fine, because the chances of a MC now are so much lower than a few weeks ago. If I do find bad news in 2 weeks I’ll deal with it then, but the odds are very much against it.

Karigan195 · 23/02/2019 09:39

@KnobJockey how far along are you now. I have that too but understand it’s normal as you get the the end of the first trimester. Bloat is decreasing as placenta takes over and you feel better as baby lifts out of the uterus

Nightdream · 23/02/2019 10:12

I had some bleeding last night, I'm 10+2, it was only very light, pinkish coloured and then turned brown and I haven't bled at all this morning but I'm still very worried

happydays00 · 23/02/2019 10:31

It is such an anxious time. I think they say brown bleeding is nothing to worry about but you can always call your EPU for reassurance if you are concerned?

I am 11+4, I haven't been sick for 2 days and nausea is considerably better but the tiredness!! Oh, the tiredness! I don't know if it's because DD and DH were both ill this week and now I seem to be getting a cold but I constantly feel like I could just lie on the floor and sleep!

Karigan195 · 23/02/2019 11:26

Today I do not feel pregnant at all. Except for being a bit chunkier round the middle of course.

Megan2018 · 23/02/2019 11:30

I have sore ligaments today, was particularly noticeable after riding!
Was sick first thing but definitely a bit more energetic today (10+5/6) so will see if that lasts. I think I look a bit pregnant now, have the same belly that I am sure is fat/bloat but underneath that is a harder bit which I think is new!

Whisky2014 · 23/02/2019 11:34

I ask dont feel pregnant. But I deffo feel ill. Wheezing has increased as has coughing and I think it's going to turn phlegmy :( :(

Was going to spend day with friends and their baby watching rugby but I don't think I can go :(

sa11zza · 23/02/2019 13:19

Hi Everyone, hope it's ok that I join in!
I'm 12+1 and have my dating scan on Monday! I feel so nervous about this! I've not had any nausea now for over 3 weeks but definitely still feeling more tired!

pinkpig381 · 23/02/2019 14:28

@KnobJockey @Fortheloveofscience I turned 10 weeks today and the past couple of days I've also had the 'I don't feel pregnant' phase...my nausea has pretty much gone and I have more energy in the day! Still exhausted at bed time but I don't need daytime naps anymore 😂 I also read about the placenta kicking in around this time so I'm guessing it's less hormonal toll on our bodies! Still feeling bloated though and having to do the hair tie/jeans trick by evening time otherwise my jeans cut me in half 😂 feeing very conscious about my weight at the moment, I just seem to be wider?! Could just be me being more aware...this will be a longgg few months 🤣
Hope everyone is feeling okay and enjoying the sunshine today x

Whisky2014 · 23/02/2019 17:24

Oh god im really feeling sorry for myself. I'm home alone all day and night. Ive slept a few houra during day and woke up with a tight chest. That did pass. I've.come up to bed and taken my temp. It's 37.2 now this morning it was 36.5 and usually when i test when i feel fine it's like 34.6
I'm not sure what to do. I dont feel I shpuld contact NHS but I do want someone here and I don't have anyone. I txt mum but she's away for the day with my dad, maybe overnight I dont know and she hasn't read the message.

stroan · 23/02/2019 18:46

@whisky2014 I’m sorry you are alone, everything seems much worse when you are alone.

How is the temp now? I think if it hits 37.5 the advice is to contact Maternity assessment. Do you feel ill in any other way?

I’m out of the thread sadly. Went for NIPTY today at 10+3 and embryo stopped growing at 9+1. Got epau on Monday to organise surgical management.

Good luck to everyone and wishing you uneventful pregnancies. X

happydays00 · 23/02/2019 19:36

@MunchyMunchkin I am so very sorry to hear that! Be kind to yourself and wishing you the best of luck in the future x

DustyDoorframes · 23/02/2019 20:33

Oh munchy I'm so sorry to hear that! That's such sad news! I hope you have a chance to really look after yourself, it's going to be a grim patch Thanks
