@melissa112 good luck with the induction! I know you must be so anxious thinking about DH having to go home tonight but if anything happens be really strong in the fact they need to ring him and get him back straight away! I'm hoping that things happen for you before he has to leave this evening 🀞🏼 either way, baby will be here soon xx

My DP has woken up feeling rough today, crampy tummy etc and my parents are away this weekend so, for the first time in a few weeks, I am hoping baby doesn't make an appearance over the next three days 🀞🏼 xx

Sictransitgloria · 07/03/2019 10:59

Ooos meant congrats to @whatalearningcurve πŸ˜‚. I blame preggo brain 🀭

CaseofEllen · 07/03/2019 11:00

Have my 38 week MW appointment today, am hoping she doesn't offer a sweep as I don't think I would accept today - even though I've been looking for any and all signs of labour over the last week or two πŸ™„ xx

Angelmiracle · 07/03/2019 11:10

@CaseofEllen definitely go with your gut on it. I turned down the first sweep offered to me with DS but was ready for the second time it was offered.

@melissa112 good luck you can do it! You've been really strong throughout your pregnancy this is the final step to meeting DS. And don't worry about coping with thee actual baby - that's what the Postnatal thread is for! If it's too much for you ask for pain relief - I really wish I had with DS. Keep us updated when you can.

Thanks all for the helpful words. Meditation mp3 sounds like a good shout. And just realised I have the downloads for relaxation from my anxiety course so will pop them on. I'm really touched by everyone's support, it's such a great group!

@BadBadBeans oh wow I'm hoping the pessary works as quick for me. Your doctor sounds really good and that's great that its such a fast turnaround. I hope it can ease your mind somewhat before little one arrives. Not long now!

Gronk27 · 07/03/2019 11:25

@melissa112 from what I’ve read the key to a good induction is to stay as relaxed as possible to get the feel good hormones flowing and keep Adrenalin at bay. All the very best with it. Your MP3s sound like a wonderful plan.

I don’t know why i’m so shocked at all these births, it is March after all! I’m the only lady in my antenatal group not to give birth yet although I was the least pregnant! I will get on my laptop and offer proper congratulations later, can’t find things on my phone.

I went mad and deep cleaned the lounge last night, knackered myself out and then got grumpy with DH because he had a little moan about having to deal with a new job and a new baby. It wasn’t my finest hour and I said I was sorry and it wasn’t a β€˜who’s facing the most change’ competition (but I am the one who has given up pretty much my life and am carrying a human being) he also feels the responsibility of supporting us all which I understand but I honestly think we’re more than fine. We ended up very cuddly which is good.

Is post nasal drip basically just a constant runny nose? Because that’s come on since yesterday.

SoBoredOfWaiting · 07/03/2019 11:41

Good luck @melissa112 hope it all goes smoothly for you!

Thank you all for the comments, I love this group - @Jenfur I have a midwife appointment tomorrow morning so will see what they say from there. Just hoping to move things along as it is so frustrating!

Congrats to everyone who has had their babies!

CaseofEllen · 07/03/2019 12:56

Oh my goodness! I can feel baby moving/digging/burying around in my pelvis and it is so, so painful. I'm not sure how he can possibility get any lower down but my pelvis and back are in absolute agony right now..

I don't know what I expect anyone to say but I'm home alone and just needed to say OUCH!!!

Starrygirl12 · 07/03/2019 13:13

Due 31.03.2019!

CaseofEllen · 07/03/2019 13:32

@Starrygirl12 welcome Thanks hows your pregnancy been? How are you feeling at this stage?

Starrygirl12 · 07/03/2019 13:47

@CaseofEllen hello, i just spotted this thread on the home screen! Thanks seems like a good group! Congrats to the people who have just had their babies! It's been mostly smooth - bad side effects have been rhinitis and hardly sleeping but nearly there!

Was at the midwife this morning who seemed surprised baby is so low? She said they are 3/5s engaged but doesn't mean labour is imminent it's made me wary of baby coming early though! Braxton hicks have started too slightly worried I won't be able to tell difference πŸ˜‚

How has yours been? When are you due?

Starrygirl12 · 07/03/2019 13:49

@CaseofEllen ha ha just read your post below mine! I'm home alone too and it terrifies me something happening!! Baby being right in your pelvis is agony - try paracetamol and if you have the birthing ball rocking on it !

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 07/03/2019 16:05

@Sictransitgloria I was going to say.. thank you but not me unfortunately. Definitely still pregnant. πŸ˜‚

SquirtlesMumAgain · 07/03/2019 16:13

Good luck @melissa112 - you've got this!

Jenfur · 07/03/2019 16:31

@melissa112 good luck, hope all is going well.

@SoBoredOfWaiting hope the midwife has been able to give you some advice and hopefully a plan for what's next rather than just having to carry on as you are.

@Starrygirl12 Welcome!

CaseofEllen · 07/03/2019 16:33

@Starrygirl12 glad it's been a fairly smooth pregnancy for you! It is a very good group on here, very supportive. Pregnancy hasn't been too bad, quite a few UTIs which hasn't been nice! I'm due 21st March ☺️

Had my 38 week appointment this afternoon, baby is 3/5ths engaged and booked in for a sweep on my due date if nothings happened before then. Feel like there's so many ways this could go, induction after growth scan next Wednesday, sweep at 40 weeks or just naturally! I'm hoping for the latter 🀞🏼 xx

MistakenHoliday · 07/03/2019 19:40

Congratulations on all the new babies - they're coming thick and fast now!

And welcome @Starrygirl12 Smile

Angelmiracle · 07/03/2019 19:40

Welcome @Starrygirl12 due 2 days after me. Also have rhinitis highly irritating. Kicks off as soon as I get to bed. Is this your first?

Thanks all. Had the 24hr pessary at 2pm. Have felt nothing since to indicate anything is progressing but I guess I'm only 6/24 hours in. Feels like much longer as I'm so bored! I really would like to avoid another 24hr one tomorrow. Mainly due to anxiety about having to use the shared toilets etc. I know it should be the least of my worries but think I'll feel better when I get moved onto delivery in my own room with toilet. But then I'll have a whole new host of actual worries πŸ™ˆ going to watch some TV on my phone then listen to my relaxation mp3s and hopefully get some sleep.

@Gronk27 glad things ended well last night. I think it's natural to be a little snappy, both us and DHs, such a lot going on. But you cant beat the feeling of a good deep clean!

@SoBoredOfWaiting hope all goes ok at your midwife appointment tomorrow!

@CaseofEllen those pelvis movements are so painful arent they!! In the bum, in the cervix, they get everywhere!

Welcome to the group @Starrygirl12 this group is amazing for support! Hope all is going well with you

Hope everyone is doing ok. Can't believe how many births we've had in the first week!

HidCat · 07/03/2019 20:30

@Starrygirl12 congratulations and welcome!

@melissa112 hope things are going ok for you.

ballanj · 07/03/2019 21:47

@melissa112 oh bless you I've only just logged on today and seen how much has happened in the last 24 hours! Sending you lots of love and hope your induction progresses as well as can be and that you're not feeling too anxious.

@babycatcher411 congratulations!

I am 39 weeks today. I have midwife next Thursday and can't remember if they said they'd offer me a sweep at that appointment or at the 41 week appointment. If at the 40 week appointment I don't know whether to accept or not. Hopefully the decision will be taken out of my hands and he'll be a couple of days early.

Sheeni · 07/03/2019 21:51

@assumeitwassomethingclever Ha! I was jealous for a second that you beat me to it!

I'm having quite a rough time. Smashed my phone screen for the first time in my life on Saturday and burnt my hand quite badly today. Both were really freakish accidents as well, which is worrying. Need to be even more careful now.
As if being 9 months pregnant wasn't enough of a PITA. Moan over.

Angelmiracle · 07/03/2019 21:51

@ballanj hope things start for you soon. If not go with your gut on the day. You'll always be offered another sweep a few days after which you may feel more ready for.

ballanj · 07/03/2019 21:51

@Gronk27 glad you made peace with your other half. I definitely think mine has heard enough of the 'I'm growing a human' line these last 9 months!

Remind me if we're due date buddies? I'm due 14 March. Can't believe how many babies there are already that have arrived early aswell.
