  • proper bumps not fat looking tummies
  • feeling them move!
OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Imawurzel · 17/07/2007 14:57

Someone on here said 4 coffees a day and 6 teas. Guessing not 10 in total.

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 15:02

Plus the 8 cans of coke.... thats 18 doses of caffiene.... not sure i could take that never mind the little one...

Imawurzel - are you due on 31st like me

skidaddle · 17/07/2007 15:04

imawurzel - that's wierd to be losing weight - are you being really good and eating healthily? Maybe that's why?

I weighed myself today and I am coming up for 10 stone which means I've put on about a stone - no idea if this is OK but sounds quite a lot. Never weighed myself last time so can't compare either. Feel fine though so that's the main thing (I hope)

Nbg - completely agree about eating a bit of everything in moderation - i think they do go a bit overboard in telling you what not to eat. The main thing is to stay healthy and if that means a bit of liver and a bit of 78% of God knows what, then I think that's fine!!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 17/07/2007 15:05

oooooooooooh never knew peacocks did maternity ! Do they do a good range?

I just want to say a big THANKYOU to everyone on here - you were all here when things seemed so bleak at the beginning and now here I am 17 weeks and know Im having a little girl!! It still doesnt seem real and you all REALLY helped keep me sane when I was going made with worry

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 15:07

Congrats on the little girlie news.

Imawurzel · 17/07/2007 15:07

Yes due on 31st .
Eat healthy? Me? pah.
I am not that good at eating healthy actually, nor do i live on fried crap.
Eat apples most days, thats really the only fruit i eat. not good i know.
Today i have had a plate of beans on toast, a kitkat and have just eaten a yum yum.
So not healthy today. again.
Not sure on whats for tea. going shopping tonight.

skidaddle · 17/07/2007 15:14

a yumyum!! Now that takes me back a few years, would love a yum yum in front of me now..

does anyone else find that whenever food is mentioned on this thread, you immediately start craving whatever it is?

Imawurzel · 17/07/2007 15:20

I have one left,want it??
but dont 'crave' food as such. Not like a 'i must have that' do want gloopy food a lot though, like spag bol, chilli con carne, curry etc.
Hungry??

MotherofZ · 17/07/2007 15:20

Am like that - whenever food is mentioned get hungry or worse since, since I work near an Asda, want to rush out and buy it.
Pecka - congrats - now you have to think of girlie names

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 15:20

Food is still difficult with me at the minute as I am still being sick which is driving me round the bend.

Imawurzel · 17/07/2007 15:22

I've not had sickness, well no actuaql sickness. had feelings.
I think every now and then thats bad.

skidaddle · 17/07/2007 15:32

imawurzel - now that's just mean! here I am sitting in my sad little office with nothing but a wrinkled old apple and you're talking about curry and spag bol
and yes i do want that yum yum btw, hand it over!

pecka - that's what we're here for all that initial worry must have made the 20 week scan all the more special though

skidaddle · 17/07/2007 15:32

oh mixedmama poor you - that is horrid. hopefully it will go soon

Neuro · 17/07/2007 15:55

Congrats Pecka!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO a cute wee girlie on the way.

Mixedmama have you tried seasickness bands on your wrists? They saved me in early pregnancy.

Food food food, now i can't stop thinking of what to have for my supper. In my dream i'd have a big fat burger somehow not made of meat but tasting like it with cheese and bacon and chips...

instead i shall be making an aduki bean and carrot casserole-y thing which'll prob be tomo's lunch.

polishes halo

oh and whoever is 10 stone, lucky you, i am 11 stone this morning, but still only in normal jeans and tops. Reckon my new found breasts are about half a stone each. Shame no one to show them too...

MamaMaiasaura · 17/07/2007 16:02

Yay - back from midwife appt & collecting ds

All my bloods came back well and good. Heard babys heartbeat, she found it straight away. 150bpm (i shed a little tear ) Also heard the placenta, make a weird whooshing noise too.

Cant believe how high up womb is already up to belly button! Didnt think it would be that high at 16+ weeks. The midwife didnt seem at all concerned by it and said is normal esp being 2nd pregnancy.

Spoke to her about back she reckons is ligaments and also uterus pressure.. apparantly really common around this stage.

Mixedmama- I am loving sprite/7 up and OJ also cranberry juice too

Rught who knows about heart rate and sex of baby??

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 16:04

Sure I have hit 12 stone and only 5 foot.

DH (or should that be A**hole husband) this morning asked if i was actually going to bother losing the weight after having this baby. Cheeky git. His way of encouraging me.

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 16:05

Awen - congrats.... are 31 Dec as well, being lazy about looking at the list?? I have my appointment next week.

Glad it all went well and cant wait to hear the heartbeat. Are you going to find out sex???

MamaMaiasaura · 17/07/2007 16:06

what a cheeky git! I am creeping up to 10 1/2 stone 66/67kg atm. Was 65kg early preg and went down to 64kg(?) with sickness iirc.

Tbh I dont care as long as fit and healthy

MamaMaiasaura · 17/07/2007 16:07

yes, you are due date buddy too Will find out sex i think on 15th August.

Housemum · 17/07/2007 16:09

The ice cream van parks right outside our house Actually, it's a right pain because there's no way you can pretend that it's in a different street when you can see it from the dining room window! And you can't get away with the mean trick that DH has - "he only plays the music when he's sold out" - when the kids can see the queue!

Actually, I was naughty last week - took the girls to Pizza Hut and got a special meal deal that included the ice cream machine - obviously DD2 couldn't manage it all so I had to help her out...

I suppose if Mr Whippy isn't allowed, that rules out McFlurries too?

Just realised it sounds like I'm a junk-food fiend! For the record, we have chicken kebabs and salad tonight...

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 16:32

Wonder how the babies will feel about having their birthday on New Years Eve... assuming they arrive on time.

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 16:34

I have actually become a junk food fiend... can only eat meat or chicken if it is in MCdonalds or KFC which ordinarilly I owuldnt really eat that often.

BecklePhoenixBird · 17/07/2007 16:36

Hi all! Can't believe how chatty everyone is, I have no hope of keeping up! Have finally given in and ordered some maternity stuff today, hopefully it will be here in the next couple of days as off to Scotland on Sunday! Congrats to all of you who have had your 20 week scans! I would like to find out the sex at mine but also am liking the guessing at the moment! I'll be very surprised if its not another boy though!
Am a bit at those of you whose hospitals have 3 or 4 others on their maternity wards - there are usually 6-8 people to a ward at my hospital! They are quite good about baths though, with both DSs I was allowed to go and take a bath and they wheeled the baby in so I could watch him and soak in the warm water at the same time - lovely.
I found with breastfeeding that although most of the weight fell off fairly fast I did retain around 1/2 stone until after I stopped feeding, wasn't too bad though cos boobs were very impressive while feeding so rest of me looked slim in comparison!
Is it just me or has anyone else not bought anything yet? I already have a pushchair and cot from the boys but gave everything else away a couple of years ago. Have not bought anything new for this baby, I am waiting until after 20 week scan (3 weeks 1 day - OMG didn't realise it was that soon!).
You are all making me hungry with your talk of food! I am desparate for peanutbutter but have not given in (lots of asthma and excema in my family and been told to steer clear). Have been fancying ReadyBrek for days and days, went and got some last night - it was foul! Grrr....

mixedmama · 17/07/2007 16:39

Typical, you fancy something for ages and then when you get it it just doesnt hit the spot.

I spent weeks trying to get green beans, getting my dad to search everywhere so he could make them turkish stylee and then when i finally got them - disgusting.

Mrswizz · 17/07/2007 16:47

I've not bought anything for baby yet. Have limited myself to just trying to beg, borrow and steal off other people.
