Glad its getting better with the physio @rollerskatadata, yep i feel a lot bigger this time round.

WeeBean · 15/02/2019 18:31

I seem to have stopped getting notifications for this thread, it moves so fast! Hope everyone is doing ok?

I've started feeling wee movements, prepared myself for a long wait because I have an anterior placenta but started feeling them this last week.

Anyone else feeling really uncomfortable? Sleeping is a nightmare with back and hip pain and any time I move I feel like I can feel all my insides squishing, so strange. June cannot come quickly enough.

Pigriver · 15/02/2019 22:05

I’ve stopped getting notifications too 🙁

Bigonesmallone3 · 15/02/2019 23:45

We have just booked a lil baby moon ❤️
Canary Islands for 11 nights end of next month..
First and last holiday as a family of 4!
DD turns 2 next week too 😭 how did that happen..

Spargle · 16/02/2019 00:27

@WeeBean these past few nights my left hip has really not appreciated the demands I have placed on it (lying on that side, propping up my other leg with a maternity cushion). I might cave and put the mattress topper on the bed on Sunday - see if that helps (the day before we go away to work for two weeks. Hope it’s a nice bed!).

My stomach has mostly been better since nearly 20 weeks, but today I’ve got loads of wind and the thing which is supposed to keep the top of my stomach shut doesn’t exactly feel effective, so I’m delaying going to bed until it feels like my stomach contents are likely to stay put. Think I’m nearly there...

For the first time today I’ve noticed proper big kicks from the outside. For some reason it’s more exciting to feel the baby with my hand than my insides, which isn’t particularly logical. Baby has also moved my stomach so that it has been tickled by my top, which is weird!

Off to bed now. Wish me luck!

GreyhoundGurl · 16/02/2019 12:05

Hi everyone! How are you feeling now @Kesically? Thank you for the aquamax suggestion for excema @Lauralovesluke, I'll look for that. We had our second attempt at the 20 week scan yesterday and so relieved to say everything is looking good, with the exception of a low lying placenta which I'm pleased to say I'm not panicking about too much after reading everyone's reassuring comments on here! Got my gestational diabetes test in 3 weeks due to a BMI of 33 so that's the next hurdle! Who can add me to the facebook group please? Best wishes everyone Smile

socktastic · 16/02/2019 20:03

Anyone else have leaky boobs already? After I'd stopped feeding my first, I was still always able to squirt a wee bit milk until about 12 weeks-ish. In the bath today, I definitely had some orange leaking out my nipples. This didn't happen till well past 30 weeks before!

Also been a right grumpy cow past few days. Don't feel I'm sleeping quite right so that could be part of it. I just want to be left in peace. Then feel guilty for feeling that way. Been so sharp with the toddler today and feeling very ashamed of myself. Dh just doesn't get it either.

socktastic · 17/02/2019 08:40

Well, that killed the conversation...

lstef · 17/02/2019 09:03

@socktastic - yep, leaky boobs here too! Started at like 16 weeks or something.

Mumsnet kicked me out after the data breach and I couldnt log in for ages, but have been reading along.

Had horrific heartburn from 3am friday morning until bed time - not something I want to repeat! I think eating late on thursday didnt help :/

Blondcat · 17/02/2019 09:38

I think the data breach has done something to notifications too as not had any for ages so didn't know when anyone posted just got a message to say someone had posted finally so missed a few days worth.

No leaking boobs yet but hear it is common so expecting it to happen any time.

Blondcat · 17/02/2019 09:59

Not sure if of interest to anyone but amazon have Gina Ford the new contented baby book for £0.99 today on kindle (deal of the day)

toomanyflatwhites · 17/02/2019 10:16

Haha don't worry @socktastic it's often quiet around here at the weekend, it wasn't anything you said I don't think! I remember someone else mentioning this quite a while ago so I'm sure you're not alone.
@lstef I too had horrific heartburn/acid reflux (never quite sure what to call it or what the difference is) starting on Friday during dinner, I had to leave about half the (rather large) plate of food as I couldn't physically eat any more! Then yesterday afternoon after soup for lunch (so not exactly a massive meal, though it was homemade veggie soup and very thick) I was helping DD on the potty and hanging upside down and was actually sick in my mouth 🤢 - yuck!! A bit traumatised as I am phobic and haven't actually puked in pregnancy ever (and only twice since I was 8 years old) - the rest of the day I had the horrid burning sensation and feeling sick. I ate dinner slowly and carefully, eating less than usual, and had a yoghurt afterwards (again eaten very slowly) and that did seem to help. Hoping not to have this regularly as it was super unpleasant...

toomanyflatwhites · 17/02/2019 10:17

Oh and on a similar but different note to @Blondcat - there's a v good hypnobirthing book available for kindle for 1.99 until the end of Feb - your baby your birth by Hollie de Cruz (aka the yesmum on Instagram).

CrazyCowLady · 17/02/2019 14:40

@socktastic I have leaky boobs too... mines more of a see-through consistency, but was expecting the golden-ness too.

Any one else feel great one day and then really shitty the next? One day I feel like superwoman and manage to do load of things and keep on top of it all. The next I ache and am really sore and tired and disinterested and seriously cant be arsed to do anything, except watch TV. Sometimes lasts for a few days, but then feel awesome again.

Sleeping is also getting harder, I wake every time I turn in bed (about 100 times a night it feels) and have started getting Braxton Hicks if I do too much or baby moves too much or if I orgasm. Which feels really weird! Any one else having them? I'm not worried about them, it just feels super early!

Also, (2nd + timers!) When did you go into labour with your first? I'm planning for my friend to come for the birth for extra support, but she lives the other side of the UK. She's happy to come for 2 weeks, and we have provisionally booked it for 40-42 weeks. I'm convinced I'm going to be after my due date, but have heard loads of first timers starting to labour before and just wondering what to do. Wish I could see into the future for this one!!

KoalasAteMyHomework · 17/02/2019 16:52

@toomanyflatwhites oooh thanks! I NEARLY bought it the other week so would have been annoyed if I had now that it's so cheap. I'm still debating about it.

I think some of Sarah Ockwell Smith's books are on deal too. I have found her gentle discipline and toddler calm books incredibly useful.

Napssavelives · 17/02/2019 17:15

Braving butlins Just me and the kids over half term, desperate need to get away. Husband is telling the kids that he is leaving on Saturday when we get back. Figure it would be best on a weekend . Then gives me Sunday with them before back to reality and school and that on Monday. I’m broken.

fee1234 · 17/02/2019 17:28

So to celebrate being 25 weeks today me and my mum went to look at prams and I found one I loved so much we put a deposit on it! Made it feel so real.. it's a Venicci 3 in 1 travel system and it was £569 which seemed pretty cheap compared to some of the others.

Wasn't really planning to buy anything but couldn't resist. Anyone else purchased their pram yet?

fee1234 · 17/02/2019 17:31

@Napssavelives hope you manage to have some fun with the kids at least, sorry you are going through a shitty time right now. How are you and baby keeping? X

toomanyflatwhites · 17/02/2019 17:49

Oh @Napssavelives have been thinking of you and wondering how you are - this is so tough. What did the children think was happening up until now?

Napssavelives · 17/02/2019 18:17

That he’s working away (not that abnormal for them not to see him midweek). Baby is ok, I’m not great, can’t really see a way through. I don’t know how I will manage a newborn with a broken 4&6 year old who’s dad walked out 15 weeks earlier. It’s not that long. I can’t sleep, the panic, the weight of it all, so much pressure and I feel like I’m crumbling

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 17/02/2019 19:09

@napssavelives man alive, that’s so hard.

Are you receiving additional support from midwives/professionals?

Napssavelives · 17/02/2019 19:20

Midwife yes. Saw health visitor who wasn’t that helpful. Was in therapy for other issues but having to quit as can’t afford it.

KoalasAteMyHomework · 17/02/2019 19:55

Naps that is so tough. I'm really rubbish at knowing what to say, and wish I had some good advice for you. I hope you can get some extra help and support.

toomanyflatwhites · 18/02/2019 07:05

@Napssavelives in terms of managing, he has left but he is still their dad (all three of them) so he will need to help. I'm sure that will also be really rough but he can't just walk away and not see the children, hmm?

Fabuluce · 18/02/2019 07:06

Blimey Naps, shouldn't your husband pay for the therapy given he's contributed significantly to your need for it?
