@TwinkleDay - don't know if I've missed this, it why 'Fred'?
@Yukka - I'm the same! Seem to be waking around 4am and can't get back to sleep until 6 :(
@Kentishgal - oh, what an awful situation for you and the sister to be in. Bless you for trying to keep it under wraps and focus on her.
I'm also very anti-pink, but my DD absolutely loves it. If she ever gets a choice of colour, 75% of the time she chooses pink. It's changed how I feel about it a bit, actually. I thought her wardrobe was quite mixed and had lots of colours in there, but It obviously stop her choosing the combinations she wants. I don't want to stop her choosing a pink top and pink trousers and pink jumper to wear at the same - she likes it, it's probably a phase, and I'm less fussed about it than I was.
I strongly object to pink automatically being a 'girl's colour', though, and find it frustrating when SIL (who openly says girls should wear pink, have long hair, and do ballet), buys big pink plastic toys for DD. I know these toys and I know they come in other colours!
