Just because I think we’re getting close to filling the first one. Pull up a pew, bring your decaf tea and all of the carbs!

@TwittleBee that must have been so scary, look after yourself and wee bean x

I had my GP appointment this morning and he did nothing other than refer me to antenatal at the hospital so now I've to wait a couple of weeks for a letter apparently. He shook my hand though and said congratulations and that made it all feel very real so I left and pretty much headed straight down to my folks. Told my Dad "I know it's not your birthday for 2 weeks but I couldn't wait any longer to give you your card" and handed him the "Happy birthday Granda" card which he opened with my mum looking over his shoulder. They both just sorta looked at it and then me and then I cried lol. Has made it all feel so much more real the hubby and I have now entered proper excitement!

We got a new boiler installed today so the house is properly warm for the first time EVER so I'm looking forward to a very cheesey risotto dinner snuggled on the sofa listening to the storm outside. Happy Friday baby mamas!

SnailorSwift · 09/11/2018 18:09

Aww @cathyj87 that's lovely 💕

I can't wait to tell everyone trying to hold off till DH is home though and don't know if I'll be able to wait that long!

Onestep2 · 09/11/2018 18:17

@cathyj87 love it!!!!

I caved and told one of my best friends today. She lives the opposite side of the country from me and no way she would tell anyone. DH would kill me not be happy if he knew I had told anyone haha

CLSMammy · 09/11/2018 18:19

Just realised I was on the wrong post! I'm now 4+2 and due 18th July! Very excited but don't believe it yet and still expecting blood when I go to the toilet! Does anyone else feel like this? Really nice to see a post like this for support. I think because it is so early I still feel like a fraud and that I can't talk about it even to my (very supportive) husband. I'm not sure when I'll accept it and stop wanting to pee on sticks to double check!

ohmybaby · 09/11/2018 18:20

I’ve caved too BlushSmile told 2 work colleagues (that I can trust) and a friend who’s also expecting in January. Telling my best friend this eve as she’s round for dinner.

Happy Friday indeed! Rest up baby mamas, take care of you! Smile Flowers

itsallgreek · 09/11/2018 18:20

I had a philadelphia mozzarella and rosemary thin crust pizza. It was lovely, I've just got out of the shower and have pj's on just need to dry and straighten my hair otherwise I'll look like I've been on an all nighters tomorrow morning...

@StargazyDrifter I'm glad that I will be able to entertain you with stories of my Doctor and his obvious obsession with my boobs and how big and hurty they are Grin

@cathyj87 that's very sweet I bet they're thrilled

SnailorSwift · 09/11/2018 18:23

Welcome @CLSMammy

Haha same here @Onestep2 and @ohmybaby told my closest colleague today! Helps to have someone in the know in work as I look and feel like utter shit and feel like I need back up of sorts!

Laburna · 09/11/2018 18:24

I've had heartburn, it was one of the first symptoms I got, it's awful!

Not sure about the longer boobies though 🤣 mine are definitely on the increase. I got some slightly roomier bras, but am already filling them 🤦🏻‍♀️

Brainfried1986 · 09/11/2018 18:25

@Onestep2 I love going to the cinema! Had a membership before ds came along, only seen about half a dozen films since then (15months) Can’t wait until my kids are big enough that I can have a membership again - prob the biggest thing I’ve had to give up

Belmo · 09/11/2018 18:35

Ooh I’m a bit jealous of all your lovely weekends, I work weekends (and am already fantasising a bit about mat leave and all the lovely weekends we’ll have!).

Was queasy earlier and boobs a little sore for the first time. Also been having some stabby pains in my pelvis, which along with discharge has been making me super anxious this afternoon. Really need to get a grip of myself, I’ve been quite good so far!

ohmybaby · 09/11/2018 18:37

Ahh just wanted to say, if you have a Sparks card for M&S they’ve got £5 off on bras with their latest offers! Fab news for those growing sore mamas Wink

Onestep2 · 09/11/2018 18:39

@brainfried1986 I have an unlimited card too! Generally the best thing I have, my DH and 3 best friends all have one. We live about 10mins away from the cinema so we're always there..... for now anyway. Will prob be devestated when we need to cancel them!!!

@itsallgreek that pizza sounds absolutly fabulous!!!!

FocusBear · 09/11/2018 19:03

Hi all, please can I join. Ive spent the last few days just reading the entire thread. Already feel like I've learnt so much with ep and cp. Dc1. Similar as others only started trying recently so it all feels so unreal. I got bfp last Friday but so far haven't told a soul. Don't want to tell others until into the 2nd trimester. I am just such a major worrier. Constantly stressing and thinking of what could happen. Still such early days. I'm 6w today. EDD 5th July. Even though I've only been lurking on here reading your messages has really helped me as I can't talk about this to anyone yet.
Bear

TheCraicDealer · 09/11/2018 19:03

Oh ffs you may add me on that list too. EDD 16/07. Did a test this evening. Happy but didn't think it would happen this quickly!

SnailorSwift · 09/11/2018 19:08

Hi @FocusBear and @TheCraicDealer 👋🏻

I was same @TheCraicDealer really wasn't expecting a BFP quite so quickly!

TheCraicDealer · 09/11/2018 19:19

Hahaha thanks @SnailorSwift!

Actual advice needed- I'm supposed to be going to the first day of a boot camp tomorrow morning and I'm wondering if this is the most sensible time to start? I'm v unfit so this would be a bit of a shock to my system. DH says I should go but the only experience of pregnancy he has is being in utereo 32 years ago.

StargazyDrifter · 09/11/2018 19:26

cathyj87 What a lovely, heartwarming day.

I've got my bigger bras out from storage, ready for the elongating avocado boobies.

Had a (warm, not hot) bath and now all set for my cheesy pizza and telly in my pjs. And no alarm clock tomorrow. 💜

Onestep2 · 09/11/2018 19:28

@TheCraicDealer congratulations! We also fell pregnant on round one! Bit sooner than expected so we were rather shocked!

I would defo say go to your Bootcamp. I am an avid gym goer (I do a Bootcamp twice a week too) and have been going since i found out. I would just tell your Bootcamp instructor on the side so that he/She knows and listen to your body while exercising. Exercise is good for you and for the baby

StargazyDrifter · 09/11/2018 19:29

😂 CraicDealer 😂 I'm so bagging that line for my own DH!

I wouldn't go, the NHS advice seems to be that you shouldn't start new things about can carry on stuff you're used to. I walk about 6 hours a week and will keep that going but I wouldn't go throwing myself into a boot camp as that would shred me.

StargazyDrifter · 09/11/2018 19:32

This is the NHS advice I had in mind.

^As a general rule, you should be able to hold a conversation as you exercise when pregnant. If you become breathless as you talk, then you're probably exercising too strenuously.
If you weren't active before you got pregnant, don't suddenly take up strenuous exercise. If you start an aerobic exercise programme (such as running, swimming, cycling, walking or aerobics classes), tell the instructor that you're pregnant and begin with no more than 15 minutes of continuous exercise, three times a week. Increase this gradually to at least four 30-minute sessions a week. Remember that exercise doesn't have to be strenuous to be beneficial.^

SnailorSwift · 09/11/2018 19:37

@TheCraicDealer I always thought the same as @StargazyDrifter in that you shouldn't take up a 'new' high impact exercise in pregnancy.

So things like antenatal yoga, swimming or walking are great to start if you haven't had a regular exercise routine.

I train with a PT twice a week, plus classes (spin/aerobics etc) and yoga which I'll be keeping up with some adjustments but this has been part of my routine for a while and I've had advice.

I'd say if in doubt speak to the person holding the bootcamp they may be able to advise and should be aware anyway in case they need to modify anything for you.

Jxtina86 · 09/11/2018 19:44

Was just talking about exercise in pregnancy with DH and then came on here to see everyone talking about it! I'm thinking of starting a weekly walk around a local park and doing some yoga at home just to keep a bit active. Would do swimming but the nearest pool is a nightmare to get to!

Separate note - got my scan date through for 12th Dec... but it's the day we fly back from holiday! The receptionist at the antenatal clinic is going to start thinking I don't have time for a baby given this is the second appt I've had to move! Hopefully they can move it to the next day as I've already got the day off as has the DH. Not sure if it might move anyway after my booking in appt - my cycle length would mean I would only just be 10 weeks when the scan comes around.

StargazyDrifter · 09/11/2018 19:52

Jxinta I'm also a bit worried about my scan date and long cycles. Going by ovulation I'll be 11+3 but going by LMP I'll be 12+3. DH and I decided not to rearrange and see what the booking appointment reveals, if anything. I think the crucial window seems to be 11+2 to 14+0 for that first scan and various developmental checks.

I hope they let you shift the appointment again. Better that than a no-show!

I've also been wondering about yoga. Does anyone know any good YT channels for oregnancy yoga for the relatively inexperienced and severely lazy?

Delilah7 · 09/11/2018 19:52

I've missed so much!!!

@cathyj87 how lovely for you to give that card to your day. I would of been impatient too 😂😂

@Onestep2 my OH is the same with me telling people but I guess that's because we lost one before.... I'm so excited to shout it from the rooftops😂 what the boys don't know won't hurt them!

@CLSMammy I'm constantly looking for blood so I completely understand that!!

@Laburna sorry for the TMI ladies I have size g boobs and my boobies are SWELLING 😂

I'd like to start exercising but I think I'm just going to embrace the weight gain and focus on it coming off after!!

pancakes22 · 09/11/2018 19:58

To those that are saying you fell quickly, how are you feeling about it all? I was the same and keep finding it really hard to get my head around! With my DD it was a process we kind of went through each month so when it happened it was a real excitement whereas this is more shock and it feels very different?
