Just because I think we’re getting close to filling the first one. Pull up a pew, bring your decaf tea and all of the carbs!

Hi Regina!! It’s twinkle congratulations hun! Nice to see you over this side :D yay so pleased for you how are you doing xxx

Frazzlerock · 15/11/2018 15:27

@amanda2809 I think it was @@twosecs asking about the FB group. I think, although I'm not fussed about a group being set up for our group, I'd prefer to go with the others and wait until we all have our 12 weeks scans.

Also, it would be lovely to have a group just for us Grin

@ReginaPhalange89 welcome and congratulations!

MrsC87 · 15/11/2018 15:31

Any advice ladies, hip pain from yesterday hasn't gone. It's like toothache in the joint. It's not unbearable, just like a dull ache. Should I ring docs just to get it checked? Or is it normal?

ReginaPhalange89 · 15/11/2018 15:35

Hi @twinkleday! Thank you ! I am so excited but in complete shock ! I was fully expecting a negative as I've had no symptoms at all really! So early to test, I only tested by chance as it's our 5 year anniversary and I thought it'd be such a cute day for a bfp! Haha! I haven't even told him yet, I've wrapped the test as a 'present' ! So excited for him to get home

How are you doing ? Any symptoms yet?

Thank you @frazzlerock :)

babyHP · 15/11/2018 15:44

Hi ladies,

Great to read all the updates today!! Lots of them too.

I also cant seem to add myself to the google doc, would someone please add me?

Due 18/07 and 1st baby 😊

BettySwoll0cks · 15/11/2018 15:59

I've got my diagnostic ultrasound tomorrow at 2pm - really hoping they might agree to have a look for little bean while we're at it!!

twosecs · 15/11/2018 16:00

Thanks @amanda2809 I think that one will come up on your feed / friend's suggestions if you join though, similar to the cloth nappy groups etc I'm in that are also closed? My last group had to be joined through PMing email addresses on MN and then adding separately.

TwinkleDay · 15/11/2018 17:00

@ReginaPhalange89 symptons not too many to be honest all the ladies on here seem to suffer way more than me I’m just tired will be 8 weeks on Saturday and got my first midwife appointment in another 2 and a bit weeks on 30th. Haven’t told a soul other then my OH back when we tested together!

ReginaPhalange89 · 15/11/2018 17:11

@twinkleday that's great! I had pretty bad morning sickness from about 6 weeks with my girls so I'm expecting it again this time! My boobs have felt a bit tender today but that's all ! But then I am only 3 weeks 3 day's, not even missed a period yet lol

Oh so you don't see the mw til 10ish weeks? I'll need to find out what the deal is here. Last pregnancy my booking appt was quite early, like 5/6 weeks !

Jxtina86 · 15/11/2018 17:22

Yesterday was the first bleurgh day I've had so far and similar today. Just feel spaced out, tired and my stomach constantly churning. No sickness but I have gone from constipation last week to the complete opposite this week! I went to bed at 8.30 last night and slept all the way till 6am and still feel absolutely drained! Imagine the same will happen tonight. Feel like I never see DH these days because I'm shattered by the time he gets home.

TwinkleDay · 15/11/2018 18:15

I had an appointment with gp two weeks ago to be referred to midwife but that was pretty much a waste of time so still on the waiting game, hoping to get a scan before Xmas

Capybaras · 15/11/2018 19:09

My stomachs starting to feel a bit crampy - hoping it’s the uterus stretching and not the start of something!

silverrose56 · 15/11/2018 19:14

Just catching up - sounds like there has been plenty of good news over the last few days.

I had my midwife appointment yesterday but she couldn't take my blood so I ended up having to head up to the hospital today for that. The bonus was that I was able to go and book my scan with the ultrasound department. They've booked me in for 13th December which I think may be too early as they don't take into account cycle length but I guess if it's too early then it just means I get an extra scan!

Nausea is hitting me massively now. It means DS is spending far too much time watching Paw Patrol so I may have to tell some of my NCT friends and organise a couple of play dates to entertain him. How is everyone else with toddlers coping?

MrsC87 · 15/11/2018 19:32

So I called 111 tonight as being having an achey shoulder and hip. Nurse was very lovely and said it doesn't sound like an ectopic and to try not to worry tonight but she wants me to book a gp appointment tomo who should refer me to the early pregnancy unit. Just having a bath to try and relieve the achy ness.

Toria73 · 15/11/2018 19:35

So I had an early scan today because of the spotting & cramping I had Sun-Tues. I had been warned not to expect to see a heartbeat as 6wks is often too early, so I was totally unprepared to see 2! I actually thought it was the same emby but from a different angle... still in shock even though I knew it was a possibility as 2 embys went in, however 1 was text book lovely & the other was looking fairly shonky & unlikely to last the day.
Does anyone know if there’s a Dummies Guide to Twins ? Still too superstitious to say the p word & now the t word too.

HchyScott · 15/11/2018 19:50

@toria73 eeeeek congratulations!! FlowersFlowers

Laburna · 15/11/2018 19:52

Same as you @silverrose56 😟 although mine doesn't mind listening to the radio. We went to singing group today, and thankfully there was only 1 other toddler there, because he spends the entire hour stealing people's shoes and normally I have to chase him about.

MW tomorrow and hopefully the shopping for a little bit so he'll not be cooped up so much. Struggling to get him to sleep and I'm sure it's because life has become the house!

That's great news @toria73 fingers crossed for them both! TAMBA (twin and multiple birth association) is the go to for multiple births, loads of information and discounts on stuff if you join.

Fingers crossed it's all ok @MrsC87, do try not to worry as it'll make it worse. I'm sure it'll just be your body adjusting! I actually found my posture and joint alignment improved while I was pregnant with DS, I'm guessing the change in pelvis helped sort it all out!

Barker26 · 15/11/2018 19:59

Hey guys ! Not sure how to edit the Google doc? But my early scan is next Wednesday the 21st (eeeek) should be 8+1 and MW booking on 29th ! I actually feel great just really tired no sickness or nausea! Told my boss as well and he was sooooo supportive it nearly made me cry haha! So hoping to see a heartbeat next week...

Rose68 · 15/11/2018 20:30

@Toria73! Wow amazing! Fingers crossed for them both x

Toria73 · 15/11/2018 20:37

Thank you all for your kind words, even though I have pics I’m still not convinced it’s 2 different embys...
@laburna, thank you I didn’t even know such an organisation existed. Do you think they’ll be able to advise on how to get a double buggy/pram thingy into a mini 😂😂😂?

Laburna · 15/11/2018 20:39

Roof rack? Or maybe a trailor?

We have a C-Max and that wasn't big enough for 1 newborn, so maybe think about trading it in for a campervan or bus?

Toria73 · 15/11/2018 20:47

@laburna, maybe I can just take them out one at a time & leave the other at home to make the dinner 😉😂
Seriously though, a C Max has to be double boot space of a mini, so I guess you must be right. Shit, trading in the car wasn’t on the ££ list as I know you can get mini friendly buggies...

Toria73 · 15/11/2018 20:50

Ps for all that were concerned, that was a joke about leaving 1 at home. I may be clueless & feeling totally overwhelmed but I do know that babies can’t cook. If I can’t I certainly can’t expect them to be able to either 😉

Laburna · 15/11/2018 20:54

I'd say a mini may well be bigger than a C-Max, it's only a tall focus really. We thought it would be practical, how wrong we were! Volvo estate next! 😂
