Just because I think we’re getting close to filling the first one. Pull up a pew, bring your decaf tea and all of the carbs!

@ratherbeshowjumping fingers crossed it's before for you :)

HchyScott · 14/11/2018 18:13

@Twittlebee I’ll take that for now, considering so many ladies on here have had pains and even spotting I’m going to stay positive.
Maybe don’t tell anyone unless they mention seeing the call? Don’t feel pressured into it unless you feel it would make life easier for you, it certainly has with me at work, especially today when I was feeling doubly rough!
So I’m 7 weeks today by docs calculations, seeing midwife 2 weeks today, I’m worried it’ll be too close between seeing midwife and getting scan in before Xmas, I’m keeping everything crossed that little bean sticks and I can have a scan before Xmas or I know what I’ll be asking DH for for Xmas lol!

Rose68 · 14/11/2018 18:22

@crackpot1 - yes, the blood test and measurement of the back of the neck at the 12 week scan is for downs and is on the nhs.
But as far as I know the extra screening for downs, patau and Edwards is something separate and isn’t on the nhs. Google harmony test. x

FocusBear · 14/11/2018 18:31

@twistering great news about your scan. So happy for you.

@twittlebee I'm dreading having to tell my work. I'm sure they be happy for me but we are a small team so any one member absent will cause quite a storm. Unless you are ready or comfortable enough to tell them I would just ignore it. Surely they won't bring up the system first unless you are really close. I feel like I might be give it away at work but I'm not gonna say anything until I'm ready. Physically and mentally.

Feeling a different type of stomach cramp today. The one like where you wear too tight trousers so they dig in abit so is slight tinge and uncomfortable. I hate worrying so much. Wish I were more ignorant about it all. Be in stupid bliss would be perfect right now.

SnailorSwift · 14/11/2018 18:34

Evening ladies. Just catching up.
I'm so ill, have the worst virus type thing and have totally lost my voice. Not ideal in my job. Really shouldn't be in work but taking sick leave in my place is more hassle than it's worth 😣

Holty99 · 14/11/2018 18:40

Urgh, only 5+4 and just spent the last 5 mins heaving over the sink. So much for morning sickness. Never had it start this early.

itsallgreek · 14/11/2018 18:44

Evening girls... Back from the doctors.. We saw little bean he or she is nice and snuggly in a beautiful yolk sack and we saw and heard the heatbeat we got a reading of 136 bps so just perfect also doctor measured me as 6+5 not 6+3 but that doesn't mean anything yet just that everything on the right track .... DP finally seemed excited he'd been very wary until today of running before we can crawl... We're very very happy and can start finally organising things as we now have to find a new place to rent as we didn't live together yet it was on the books but will have to happen sooner than planned... Going back for my next scan in 3 weeks when I'll be 9 weeks

Yayyyyyyy

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 18:46

@SnailorSwift get well soon lovely. Rest up x x

@Holty99 good sign though isn't it?

@itsallgreek how wonderful!!! Makes me excited for my scan tomorrow. Not that I'm expecting what you got! Xx

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 18:48

Yayayayayyayay so bloomin ecstatic for you itsallgreek

SnailorSwift · 14/11/2018 18:55

Wonderful news on the scan @itsallgreek

Thanks @Delilah7 💕

Anyone noticing their hair tangles way more easily in the last couple of weeks? Mine is driving me crazy! I almost took the scissors to it last night!

Rose68 · 14/11/2018 19:00

Amazing news! @itsallgreek

BettySwoll0cks · 14/11/2018 19:06

@Rose68 not necessarily. They will try and get you in for your booking appt before 10 weeks because of the blood work - mine is booked for 9+5. So there is still time but in the next couple of weeks you probably ought to call/self refer online.

BettySwoll0cks · 14/11/2018 19:08

Great news itsallgreek! Congrats x

FocusBear · 14/11/2018 19:17

Amazing itsallgreek! congrats!

TwinkleDay · 14/11/2018 19:20

Evening all,

In regards to tights I have found the most amazing tights I swear by. Primark boot tights - not maternity but amazingly comfy they have built in socks and are only £4 a pair. Great for winter 🥶 I’ve been wearing them for past 3 years

HchyScott · 14/11/2018 19:34

I feel your pain @Snailorswift! Keep taking paracetamol, loads of fluids and rest as much as you can, that’s what I’m doing. Hope you get better soon x

SnailorSwift · 14/11/2018 19:57

Thanks @HchyScott good advice as I'm really not good at taking time for myself when I'm sick.

Hope you are feeling better soon too 💕

Toria73 · 14/11/2018 20:02

Evening, is anyone else having really crazy dreams? Last night in dreamland I wanted to shag George Ezra but he wanted to shag Ed Sheeran but Ed said he’d only shag George if he could shag me too, so we decided to have a 3way. 😱😂
I know they say you have fab sex dreams when pregnant but I never expected to be dreaming about those two!!!

BettySwoll0cks · 14/11/2018 20:02

Is anyone else still breastfeeding an older DC while preggers?

Onestep2 · 14/11/2018 20:10

@Toria73 hahaha that sounds like a GOOD dream! Hahahaha

Toria73 · 14/11/2018 20:21

@Onestep2 they were v hot together 😉😂😂

HchyScott · 14/11/2018 20:22

@Toria73 hahaha that’s hysterical!!! I didn’t know that sex dreams were a pregnancy thing, I’ve had so many!!
However lasts nights was rather random... I was in a people carrier with Joey Essex and Ross Kemp after working with them in a nightclub. Ross Kemp was doing doughnuts in the car park with us in the car , I kept telling him to stop but he wouldn’t, so I screamed “ I’m pregnant!” And in his shock, let go of the wheel and we crashed and I woke up with a jump!

Toria73 · 14/11/2018 20:25

@HchyScott I always thought Ross Kemp was a bit of a twat & your dream has confirmed I was right 😂😂😂

HchyScott · 14/11/2018 20:35

@Toria73 hahaha he was such a twat! God knows where they came from, I’ve not even watched them on telly recently!

Toria73 · 14/11/2018 20:41

@hchyscott I’m just blaming the hormones as I’m certain that I’ve not been repressing secret desires for Ed or George!!
