Just because I think we’re getting close to filling the first one. Pull up a pew, bring your decaf tea and all of the carbs!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 10:18

@TwittleBee my first was 12 days late. My second was pulled out 3 days early as he was breech so no idea if he'd have come earlier, but anything would have been better than 12 days late

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/11/2018 10:39

@TwittleBee ahhhh I absolutely love Arnold/Arnaud and Elodie. Nicknames for both are gorgeous. I considered Elodie but it doesn't flow with our surname unfortunately :(
We have pretty much decided on Jonty for a boy - both of our dads are "John" and his eldest brother is Jonny. My dad is no longer with us so a way of honouring him and Jonty is just a little bit different.
For a girl, Betsy has been my favourite girls name forever - DH isn't keen but has he come up with anything else yet.... no....!

Laburna · 14/11/2018 10:44

@twittlebee my sister had 3 and each was later than the last....

MrsC87 · 14/11/2018 10:50

@ratherbeshowjumping glad I'm not the only one thinking of names lol.
I like Arthur for a boy, and strangely Ralph.
Girls, Niamh, Phoebe, Martha.
DH doesn't want to talk about it though until we have a gender scan.

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 10:54

ah names..... I have wanted Lydia since the list I made up 2.5 years ago. Emily was top then Lydia was second. Our little lost one has the name Emily so I had hoped to use Lydia (if DP liked it too obviously) But his step sister has just used it for her new one! I know it is only a name, but I am gutted. Hopefully this one will be a boy so I don't have to think about it. Boys I have so far are Jago, James, Samuel, Matthew, Guy and randomly... Zeddy. I've no idea what it is short for but I have a real hankering for it.

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 10:57

Love these names!!

Two decided names are Oscar James
And Eva Mary.

Both mean something sentimental ( Oscar doesn't but it's cute )

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 10:57

Bare in mind second names are middle names!

babyHP · 14/11/2018 10:59

@twittlebee that link was perfect, thank you!

Thanks for all the advice ladies. Totally makes sense @laburna!! I have changed it to "weeks completed" on Flo instead.

Kentishgal · 14/11/2018 11:06

Thanks for the link to the calculator. Using the various calculators I apparently have a due date somewhere between 2 and 21 July!! I think it's probably towards the end of that range as I ovulated very late this cycle. I know I'll have an early C-section so I am not worried about the ultimate due date but I just want to know how far along I am now!!

Some lovely names there!

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 11:12

Laburna ah that is such a relief to hear, everyone keeps telling me to be prepared for a prem baby and it scares me so much!

ratherbeshowjumping ah no that is ashame it doesnt flow! Elodie is such a fav name for me. Love the meaning and the sound of Jonty

Delilah love the names!

Frazzlerock oh it is a shame about Lydia. Love Zeddy too actually, never heard it before either

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 11:16

@TwittleBee thank you!! How about you???

@Frazzlerock zeddy is lovely!!!

SnailorSwift · 14/11/2018 11:43

I've used the advanced calculator this morning and it's putting my EDD a day later which I think is probably unlikely given DS came at 37 weeks.

I'll be having a planned delivery anyway but it's still interesting!

KinCat · 14/11/2018 12:24

It put my edd back 2 days! Been having some cramps today but it might be just cause I'm constipated.

I'm 28 so somewhere in the middle although I'd be the first of my friends to have a baby (though there are a couple who I don't think will be far behind!)

Thinking of everyone whose having a stressful time, hope it all works out x

Twistering · 14/11/2018 12:24

Just back from scan and tentatively good news. Measuring a bit earlier than my dates (not quite 6 weeks instead of 6 +4) but they said impossible to date until about 10 weeks really. They were really happy with what saw, everything in right place, and amazingly, while fetal pole only 2mm there was a heartbeat! They said they wouldn’t expect to see that at this stage so a good sign. Massively made me cry as I’ve never seen a heartbeat on all the scans I’ve had.
Back same time next week so fingers crossed it carries on this way!

Went and had nice breckie with DH as we had both been too anxious to eat anything before. Now for a nap (off work this week), shattered!

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 12:32

@Twistering oh how exciting!! I'm so pleased for you hun!! Makes me excited for mine tomorrow! X

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 12:37

Just joined the gang of loose bowels and pain before getting rid of it all.... is this normal? 😂

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 12:47

Twistering oh sounds like its been a lovely morning for you! So glad it is all looking so promising!

Delilah7 haha bless you! Yeah pain before loose bowels is common, just where your bowels are moving it along

Laburna · 14/11/2018 12:47

Totally @delilah7!

Sounds like you had a pretty great start to your day @twistering! What excellent news!

itsallgreek · 14/11/2018 12:49

Ohhh @Twistering what great news I've got a scan this evening I'm 6+3 so close to you... I hope mines as successful as yours but just would love to see progress

Softkitty28 · 14/11/2018 12:51

I haven’t been posting much but have been keeping up to date on all your progress/symptoms with interest!

I am 6 weeks today based on LMP and still not having any real symptoms. More tired than usual and a few cramps here and there, but absolutely no nausea or sickness! I know I shouldn’t complain but it’s starting to make me quite anxious Sad Still POAS every couple of days to reassure myself! Anyone else in this boat??

HchyScott · 14/11/2018 13:02

That’s great news @twistering bet you feel abit of relief at least. I’m home from work and still feeling crappy, but had some lunch and going to snooze on the sofa. Got an appointment at the doctors at 4.10, I haven’t had any more pains at like the early hours of this morning and no bleeding so I’m hoping it was just stretching. See what the doc says but I’m hoping they’ll get me in for an early scan. Using LMP I’d be 7 weeks today but I think I’m more like 6. It gets so confusing! Did use that link and it said 7 weeks due 8th July

Charm23 · 14/11/2018 13:04

Had an early scan this morning (due to bleeding) - very nerve wracking! Did abdominal scan first and didn't see much at all so then did an internal scan and we saw our tiny little pea!

According to LMP I'm 6 weeks today but the nurse said they don't think I'm quite at 6 weeks yet so they've booked me in for another scan on 23rd November where hopefully we will see a slightly bigger pea and a heartbeat.

DH says it's now feeling more real to him haha! Was really surprised at how hard they push with the transducer on your tummy - I can't imagine them doing that when I've got a full bladder!!

@Delilah7 Good luck for your scan tomorrow! Lemme know how it goes xx

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 13:19

Charm23 We shall be having our 2nd scan on the same day. They told me to go back then as I'll be 7 weeks and should see a heartbeat for sure then they reckon by measurements yesterday! How exciting!

HchyScott Hopefully they will get yo in for an early scan just to put your mind at ease!

Softkitty28 bless you with the POAS addiction still. I think there are a few still POAS actually. I managed to pull myself away from doing it at end of last week.

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 13:28

urgh i feel like ive suddenly just been hit in the gut by nausea this lunch time. I've eaten too so surprised at feeling like this. Totally shattered as well

BettySwoll0cks · 14/11/2018 13:36

@TwittleBee same, and same! Feeling horrendous.
