Just because I think we’re getting close to filling the first one. Pull up a pew, bring your decaf tea and all of the carbs!

Sorry you are feeling poorly 🥺 how do you cope with that in work??!

I've slept well the last 2 nights but feel like I could easily sleep if I shut my eyes at my desk right now....

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 13:56

cope with it at work by keeping head down and try to look like I'll kill anyone who stops to talk to me at my desk lol. I think I will have to tell work early again.

Kentishgal · 14/11/2018 14:14

Softkitty28 I'm still poas! Just every couple of days some doubt creeps in. Exactly the same as you - no symptoms really except tiredness - although last time I think migraines and sickness started around 6-7 weeks so maybe that'll be soon.

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 14:16

@Twistering wow! That is incredible. The sonographer we had said they wouldn't be able to see a heartbeat on a baby smaller than 7mm so this is remarkable!

I'm feeling utterly exhausted. Getting up at 5:30am to get into the office is killing me. I don't get home until 6pm and I can't really relax then as I've the DS' to sort out.
Plus obviously we are out tonight. My tights are really digging into my stomach so I walked for ages to the nearest New Look to take a look at their maternity range, hoping to find tights. No luck. So went to M&S, still no luck, so I went to Next (bloody despise Next) but still no luck, so I went into Superdrug hoping that a M/L pair of normal ones would be roomy enough but no. I am sitting here at my desk with these new tights on and they are digging in so bad. Waste of £4.99!

Why is it so hard to find a pair of maternity tights in Central London?

Twistering · 14/11/2018 14:19

Ugh that was more like going into a coma than a nap! :)

Thanks so much all...@itsallgreek and @Delilah positive vibes for yours too, report back!

I’ve been pretty good with minimal POAS @Softkitty28 although must admit did one this morning, pre scan, to just reassure me I wasn’t wasting everyone’s time!! Ha!

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 14:20

I'd do anything for a nap

Softkitty28 · 14/11/2018 14:40

Thank you all for the sanity!

@Frazzlerock I found great maternity tights by chance in my local new look. They weren’t in the maternity section but were beside the till with the regular tights. They are super comfy for me and I’ve been wearing them nearly everyday this last week!

itsallgreek · 14/11/2018 14:40

@Frazzlerock oh I hear ya.. last night I had pregnancy insomnia. Today I've been wishing I could have an hours nap (or 3) since early this morning... Only 20 mins left and I'm off home to nap before my scan this evening

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 14:42

let us know asap how it goes itsallgreek ! FX

Beckanne90 · 14/11/2018 14:42

My goodness it moves fast this thread haha.

That’s brilliant news @twistering

I’m 28 and having my 6th, this one’s my last. I was relatively young when I had my first, 17 and then had him at 18. My 5th was born a month after my 26th birthday back in 2016.

I think babies come when they want to come but if there are risks to coming earlier there is usually measures in place. As it goes, mine was 41+5, 40+5, 38, 34 and 31. So mine have got earlier but I think I may have some damage although it’s not been investigated, so who knows. I’m hoping they take it abit more seriously this time as they thought ds4 was just a one off until dd1 arrived 15 months later even earlier. But many people who I know have had later babies than their first.

Onestep2 · 14/11/2018 14:43

Sorry you ladies are having a rubbish time today!

That's fab about the scan! Hopefully that will put your mind at ease.

I told my line manager today. He was over the moon! He started laughing and said guys in the team have all placed bets when I was on my honeymoon to see how long it would be before I was pregnant! (I am the only female in a team of 'lads' lol) He said if I need anything to let him know. Feel so much better I've told him!!

Twistering · 14/11/2018 14:49

Ha, sorry @Frazzlerock not trying uk rub it in. Sorry you feel shite and commute sounds dire. Any chance you can work from home at all?

And it was just a tiny flickering blob but good to see none the less!

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 14:54

Onestep2 that is lovely to hear that you have support from your line manager!

Beckanne90 good point about how they do have checks in place. I suppose they are offering me extra scans and check ups. Guess I am also bit worried in case I do decide to go down the C-Sec route but end up in labour before the date its booked in. Really hope they take you more seriously this time!

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 15:09

@Beckanne90 I am seriously impressed! I think the beauty of having children so young is the other end when you are still young enough to have a good relationship with your adult children.

@Twistering haha, don't worry about it. I am very jealous though. I can WFH but I did that yesterday and can't WFH all week, much as I'd love to. Plus I am on leave on Friday as heading up for this 90's weekender thing. Then off again Monday when we return, then WFH again Tuesday so I can have my scan. I feel like I'm taking the piss a bit.

@Onestep2 that is awesome news about your manager. I haven't taken my baby on board badge off my coat in the office, which is on the back of my chair, so people can see it without me having to make some big announcement. Only one person has mentioned it weirdly.
Though I'm pretty sure they have all clocked it.

DP suggested we go to Oxford St this eve before the gig so I can find some maternity tights, I will try the New Look up there, they must have them.

Beckanne90 · 14/11/2018 15:24

@Twittlebee, yes they should keep a good eye on you especially if your on medication that increases the risk and you have already had a baby before term. I have a feeling they will advise me to have a section this time, as my daughter I went into labour got to 8cm then ended up with an EMCS due to complications and I’ve done some reading on other people that had similar complications and they was advised ELCS. But I’m not sure I want one again and I can imagine like you said, going into labour before it came to it, so I’m not sure which route to go.

@Frazzlerock, haha I know I dare not even tell my mum Blush

MrsC87 · 14/11/2018 15:30

Has anyone had achey muscles since being pregnant?
My thighs, hip and bum on the left side ache like hell! So much so, I could do with a massage!

Laburna · 14/11/2018 15:36

@frazzlerock - unfortunately, there are not a huge number of stores that stock maternity stuff, they expect you to order it online :(

I've done some bad parenting today, I put on the emergency favourite musical programme so I could have a quick nap on the sofa though mostly because I was already falling asleep and I knew it would occupy him for a bit 🤦🏻‍♀️

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/11/2018 15:38

@Frazzlerock lovely names - DH loves Jago. I think it would be a front runner for DS2 - let's get DC1 cooked & out first though before I start inventing an entire family. I really like Zeddy too. Wracking my brain for what you can use it for.

Great names too @Delilah7 - Oscar is gorgeous.

@MrsC87 yes!! I didn't really think of it as a symptom though until you said. My back, neck & shoulders are so sore.

MrsC87 · 14/11/2018 15:47

I literally feel like I've been run over @ratherbeshowjumping & the tiredness has kicked in! Supposed to be going out tonight but really want my bed! x

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 15:49

@ratherbeshowjumping thanks Hun. My friends pregnant and hoping she doesn't pick them names as she's due in Feb!! 😂

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 16:10

okay I need to share this with someone, so apologies it is you ladies, I've gone spreadsheet crazy: see image attached (slow office day)

Beckanne90 Certainly something we both need to talk to our MWs and consultants about. I suppose we might have to just prepare ourselves for all possibilities. Hopefully though we will both get to term, or with careful monitoring we will know to expect an early baby

July 2019 - early days part 2
TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 16:13

oh and ladies, if you are worried about your friend's picking your name, just do what we shall be doing! Name the child after finding out the sex haha! We shall be having a sexing scan at 16-17 weeks so we can get in early with the names (also we shall be having one-of-those-much-hated-on-MN, Sex reveal parties but shall be instead of a baby shower and we dont expect presents and I know I'll be doing all the cooking anyway too etc! Just an excuse for a get together and the relatives can all find out at once then!)

Buggles1 · 14/11/2018 16:21

@MrsC87 yes, I had really sore hips about a week back but it seems to have eased off now. Seems to come back if I walk anywhere though. Been aching at night as well which is making it hard to sleep. Have my first doc appointment in the morning so hopefully I’ll get some clarity re scans etc then. Really hoping for one before Xmas cause I should be 12 weeks by then. Fingers crossed.

Onestep2 · 14/11/2018 16:28

@deliliah7 i love Oscar too. Such a beautiful name.

I've forced my self into my gym clothes and heading to my gym class. 😴 would much rather be going straight home lol

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/11/2018 16:28

@MrsC87 know exactly how you feel 😩 it's my cousins wedding on Friday & my best friends birthday on Saturday - I don't know how I'm possibly going to stay up past 8pm 2 nights on the trot!!

@Delilah7 same!! Does your friend know what she's having yet? One of my closest friends is due in March & im torn between wanting to talk about names & not wanting her to use mine 🤣 so silly!
