Just because I think we’re getting close to filling the first one. Pull up a pew, bring your decaf tea and all of the carbs!

HSapr · 14/11/2018 08:48

Ahh thanks all but I'm really not suffering too badly and I prefer to have some symptoms although I know I'm still so early on, 4+5 today...

I keep seeing people announcing that they've just found out and have a similar DD to me. I kinda wish I hadn't found out so early now as time seems to be standing still!!

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/11/2018 08:51

@TwittleBee @Delilah7 so glad it's not just me with bread/toast and butter. My favourite, naughty snack pre pregnancy was a huge slice of naice bread with loads of butter... the very thought of that now makes me nauseous!

@MrsC87 - -I have absolutely decided on names- DH and I have started a list, he doesn't really want to talk about it until at least 12 weeks though.

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/11/2018 08:51

Oh no strikethrough fail!!!!

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 08:57

HSapr yeah you really are so so early still!

babyHP completely the same boat. Doesn't help DH is on nights too so I always sleep extra poorly when he isn't in bed with me. For Dating, you go from the 1st day of your last period, so from CD1. But I am with you on Flo, I think it is wrong? It has me as 6+5 but working from LMP, and had this confirmed I was doing it right yesterday at scan when they asked for my LMP, I should only be 5+5? I wonder if it is saying I am in Week 6 rather than I have completed 5 weeks. If that makes sense? In pregnancy+ app you have the choice of setting it as weeks completed or week that you are entering.

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 09:00

hahah love a strike through fail ratherbeshowjumping happens to me all the time! We've decided on names for a boy! If it is a boy we have chosen Arnold or Arnaud (French version of Arnold with French pronunciation, DH is french). I really really really want Elodie for a girl (again another classic french name) but DH isnt keen yet.

babyHP · 14/11/2018 09:01

@twittlebee yes - Flo was my favourite app and always spot on at tracking. Yes, Flo has the "weeks completed" option too - do you reckon thats better then?

A little disheartened that thats put me a week back, as every week is like a triumphant win! But, it is what it is.

@Hspar that means I am the same as you - 4+4 today. Dont look at it as a negative, we found out super early and therefore had more time to prepare ourselves 😍

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 09:01

Good morning all!

Well this group is so big now that I am really struggling to keep up. Not that that's a bad thing of course, the more the merrier!

Firstly, I am very pleased to see I'm not the only 'oldie' here. To whoever said that 'if life was fair' they'd have had a baby at 34. I agree, I have 4 years between my two DS but should have been 2 years. So many people I know where having babies seemingly whenever they wanted while I was still waiting for DS2.

This little baby should have been here 2.5 years ago, if life was fair. Funny how things work out eh! I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be pregnant now, probably why I don't think it will last.

anywho... I realised I was basically living off carbs and can't remember the last time I had one of my '5 a day' which I am normally really good at. So I forced myself to make a salad last night, which was actually really good. This morning I stopped off in Coco Di Mama and bought myself a 'Superfood porridge' with coconut milk and cinnamon. I feel like I'm feeding Popsy properly now Grin

I'm still not feeling terribly sick, I keep thinking I do then it is so subtle that I think I am imagining it. Or realising my tights band is digging into my stomach so no wonder I feel sick.

We are off to a gig tonight and I'm worried I'll be too tired to last. Plus it is in London and we no longer live her anymore so we'll have a real trek home afterwards. Then I have to face our 90's weekender this weekend, I literally have no idea how I'll manage.

I hope everyone has a good day!

Laburna · 14/11/2018 09:07

@twittlebee @babyhp is it because they count the first week as week 1 rather than week 0? So essential the first week after your LMP would be 0+1, 0+2, 0+3 because you are 1 day, 2 days etc. If they count that as week 1 you'd be 1+1, 1+2, 1+3 instead?

I can't even think about names 🤦🏻‍♀️ it was so hard coming up with DS's! Might wait until the sexing scan so we only have to think of 1 name!

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 09:10

@babyHP it is so confusing at this stage. I on't think there is any way of knowing until we have our 12 week scans, and even then it could be out by a few days. The problem is that for some reason the general way to find out is LMP which, I think, is based on a 28 day cycle. I mean who has a 28 day cycle every time!? Mine could be 25 day, or 125 days.

Even women with no issues don't have a 28 day cycle. It's madness.

I'm just going to say I'm 7-8 weeks, roughly. Scan estimate says I'm 7 weeks today whereas LMP says I am 7+4 today Confused
As baby gets bigger, those four days won't make much difference I shouldn't think.

I don't know if that is helpful!

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 09:13

yeah i think that is what Flo is doing Laburna it sees it as it literally being week 1 from 1st day of LMP, technically it is week 1 but you havent been 1 week until the end if that makes sense? Bit like if you had just started a job and soemone would be like, how long you been here for? and you'd be "oh this is my first month" rather than saying "1 month". Hope that is a good explanation haha. Yeah go back to completed weeks babyHP as that is how MWs calculate. I did not realised they had that option so moving it to that now.

Hope you do have the energy to enjoy tonight Frazzlerock !!

Jxtina86 · 14/11/2018 09:21

I've just had the same convo about LMP and cycle lengths with the antenatal clinic - my scan date is the day we fly back from holiday so I can't make it. Phoned up to rearrange and the receptionist said they have my due date as 27th June based on my LMP of 19th Sep. When I explained I had a 38 day cycles she didn't know what to say! So now my scan has been cancelled and waiting for a new date when they release the next set of appointments. But even if it's moved to the 13th, I estimate that I will only be 10 weeks. I have a feeling things might shift again when I go to my booking in though!

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 09:22

@TwittleBee I find Flo puts me one day ahead compare to all the other apps (I have a few!). I've no idea why it does that. But that is still based on LMP so it's wrong anyway!

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 09:29

I wouldn't worry poster Jxtina86 as they do dating scans between 8 - 14 weeks so as long as you are that range it be fine. Longer cycles do tend to make for later due dates. I have my dating scanned booked in when I am 10+5

Btw in case anyone is interested! I have been using the EDD calculator linked below as lets you put in your cycle and luteal phase lengths etc

www.mamanatural.com/due-date-calculator/

Frazzlerock yeah actually you are right! It does even do a whole extra day too! I recall you mentioning this on the last thread too btw!

Laburna · 14/11/2018 09:38

@twittlebee the advanced one says my edd is 20th June!!!

Jxtina86 · 14/11/2018 09:43

@TwittleBee ah phew! I was getting myself a little bit in a mess over all the dates! Just want someone to confirm what it is based on all the facts and be done with it - at the moment just feel like I'm in date limbo lol.

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 09:44

I'm struggling today. Felt a few cramps last night like a stitch pain. And had a few this morning. Convinced somethings gone wrong. No blood but scan tomorrow anyways...

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 09:45

Laburna really? When I inputted for you it said 6th July? I based that on you saying LMP started on 19th September with cycle lengths of 38 days?

You will always be in date limbo until baby is here hahah Jxtina86

Jxtina86 · 14/11/2018 09:52

@TwittleBee I can cope with the date limbo just not now when I'm basing dates on what I know compared to the clinic who seem to refuse to believe anyone has a cycle a day off 28 lol. Oh and I think those are my dates you've put in? Although apologies if @Laburna was the same! But early July was my estimate for those!

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 09:54

How do you know what your luteal phase is?

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 09:54

@Delilah7 sorry you're struggling xx

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 09:55

Frazzlerock probably too late to work out now, but it is the bit from ovulation to day before your next period. I worked mine out as 12 days for sure by BBT charting. The average is 14 though.

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 09:56

hahah you are right poster Jxtina86 apologies Laburna !! I just saw dates up above and done a quick check lol! baby brain

Frazzlerock · 14/11/2018 09:58

@TwittleBee oh okay, I never knew what mine was as had no idea when (or if) I was ovulating before I started using Ovusense. And that worked first cycle so I never did find out what my luteal phase was.

Laburna · 14/11/2018 10:00

Was confused there! 😂 Was trying to remember if I'd said any of my details. I think mine got earlier because I'm older, and have had a history of pregnancy related high blood pressure and ovulated on day 12 that cycle.

I assume my 40 week EDD would be 1/7, but they predict I'll actually give birth in week 37 or 38?

TwittleBee · 14/11/2018 10:04

Laburna Maybe try using the non-advanced one first, where you can just put in your LMP & length of cycle only as that is what will give you the closest EDD that will match the dating scan. But then the advanced one is useful to do I guess so you know you might be early!

maybe just put in 14 days Frazzlerock and know you have to give or take a day maybe?

Anyone know if you really do give birth to your 2nd baby earlier than your 1st btw? I am pissing myself as I went into labour at 36+5 with DS and the meds I am on increase your chances of having a prem baby too
