Sorry for TMI, but I've had really bad diarrhoea this morning and I'm worrying. I don't have any cramps or bleeding but I'm convincing myself this is a sign of impending mc. With my last two mc (4w and 4.5w) I had diarrhoea too, and I usually get it before my period. I've been semi constipated until now. Am I being silly?

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 06/11/2018 09:06

@jacquejacque with my DS I got diarrhoea instead of morning sickness! Apparently it's very common. Very embarrassing though!

jacquejacque · 06/11/2018 09:20

@SpunBodgeSquarepants gosh that must not have been much fun! I've had normal ms so far (and still have today) but haven't had any diarrhoea until today, I'm 8+5.

Kescilly · 06/11/2018 10:08

@jacquejacque I had it right when I found out I was pregnant (and about to get on a transatlantic flight). I read that it could be a sign of miscarriage but also that it is common in pregnancy and can be your body adjusting to hormones. I know it's difficult not to worry, but it's not always a bad symptom! Just a really annoying one.

I passed along copies of my immigration info and am going to just hope it's all sorted out. I don't want to stress over this the rest of the pregnancy, I'll just deal with problems as they come. The woman I saw today was super competent and nice as well. And as a bonus, she was able to tell me that I have my 12 week scan and first consultant appointment scheduled, so now I have those dates as well!

toomanyflatwhites · 06/11/2018 10:34

@Kescilly sounds like you are sorted now perhaps, but I (uk resident) did have to present my passport at my first scan (london hospital). I was quite surprised! I don't remember having to do it for later scans but that may be because once they'd seen it they knew I was British. Might just be a london thing that everyone has to show it, my sister (in Kent) was really surprised when I told her!
I called the GP yesterday to ask if they could help chase my maternity referral (I self referred 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing!) but have to have a phone appointment with the doctor on Thursday to ask. So silly! They told me that from December the midwives are not coming to our surgery anymore so perhaps the changeover has caused a delay in response, luckily the place they are moving to is pretty convenient for me anyway.
8 weeks today and I definitely am still worrying (almost constantly!) that I'm not actually pregnant!! I am extremely nervous about having the first actual proof be in the private clinic having the harmony test when we will have a scan too - but I do remember feeling the same with my first pregnancy, the sonographer told me "it's ok, you can look now, there's your baby" - I just didn't believe there was really anything in there!!

mindthechaos · 06/11/2018 11:01

TMI but hoping it makes jacquejacque feel a bit more reassured. I’ve had a few diarrhoea days so far in this pregnancy randomly. Very inconvenient, but hasn’t led to anything apart from me legging it to the loo. I’m guessing it’s a hormone surge or something that gives me a funny tummy- as I do remember nearly having an accident when I was early 3rd trimester with my oldest

fee1234 · 06/11/2018 11:35

@jacquejacque I'll jump on the diarrhoea bus too - had it every other morning for a week or two. Joins the list of lovely symptoms.

Got my flu jab today, was painless.

stellarfox · 06/11/2018 11:46

@jacquejacque I’ve had it a couple of times randomly over the past few weeks too! Not sure what has brought it on but hopefully is just hormones

jacquejacque · 06/11/2018 12:05

Thank you all so much for sharing those stories to make me feel better! I'm feeling pretty sick too and I think DH said he felt sick when he left the house this morning so it could even be the food we ate yesterday I suppose?

curlypasta · 06/11/2018 12:37

I’m constipated now. I’d pay good money to be back at diarrhoea! Bloody hormones

jacquejacque · 06/11/2018 12:59

@curlypasta I'll send you some of the lasagne I made on Sunday, that ought to sort you out it seems 😂

toomanyflatwhites · 06/11/2018 13:01

@curlypasta I was going to say similar, seems to be ok since yesterday thank god but had it at the weekend so badly I almost cried trying to go!!! I would guess that's the lack of ANYTHING nutritious in my diet causing the problem 🙄

toomanyflatwhites · 06/11/2018 13:31

Me again 🤣
Called to book the harmony test and based on my LMP date they reckon I am only 10 weeks from the point I think I'm almost 11, so now have to wait almost 3 weeks until we go in when I was thinking I was on a 2 week countdown. Waaahhh!!

hexagon01 · 06/11/2018 13:43

Constipation here too - are any of us pooing normally?! If you are I’m jealous. I should probably also blame my horrendous diet. Trying to force fruit down me but it’s hard!

Napssavelives · 06/11/2018 14:13

I’m shocked I’m actually pooing ok! Had awful constipation with DS1!

rollerskaterdata · 06/11/2018 14:23

@jacquejacque @curlypasta I've switched from diarrhoea to constipation so many times I've got whiplash, I don't know what's worse!

fee1234 · 06/11/2018 14:35

Getting so ahead of myself here.. booked a gender scan for Xmas eve when I will be 17 weeks. Planning to tell the family on Xmas day what it is. Fingers crossed baby won't have its legs crossed for the scan!

Fabuluce · 06/11/2018 14:49

I had shocking constipation in the first tri with my son and even got piles - it was horrendous. I've been really conscious this time of trying to keep as fluid as possible! TMI alert but you can get diarrhoea because of constipation sometimes - it goes loose in an attempt to get out apparently. It's A Thing. Digestion is definitely affected by pregnancy.

I'm now constantly queasy and the only thing combatting it is constant eating. I'm going to be a whale 😩

Fabuluce · 06/11/2018 14:50

Btw the Harmony scan can also tell you the sex but it's an expensive way of finding out early!

Napssavelives · 06/11/2018 14:51

@fabuluce eating is the only way I get thought the day too. I’m only 8 weeks and I’ve got a belly 😩

Peanut1980 · 06/11/2018 15:05

I had a scan today and not good news. I’m 7 weeks and baby is still showing as 6 weeks. Hasn’t grown at all since Friday nor does it have a heartbeat. I spoke to the clinic and they said it doesn’t sound great. They want me in on Friday to confirm and discuss next steps. I feel drained and so sad. So I’m leaving the group now. I wish you all a long and healthy pregnancy xxx

mindthechaos · 06/11/2018 15:11

Peanut1980 I’m so sorry Flowers

rollerskaterdata · 06/11/2018 15:12

@Peanut1980 I'm so so sorry to hear this hun. I'm hoping for a miracle for you. Please take care of yourself and I wish you all the very best xx

Kescilly · 06/11/2018 15:17

Oh Peanut I’m so sorry.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 06/11/2018 15:46

I’m very sorry @peanut1980
