OP posts:

Klaw · 20/06/2007 17:27

TA How are you? Annobal and you?

Thinking of you both.......

Klaw · 20/06/2007 17:29

And JBM, glad your check came back positive, labour will get going for you soon too!!

foxybrown · 20/06/2007 17:33

TA - you spell check your posts???!

Annobel, we had sausages too.

OK, I'm just getting off the subject and being churlish...

Everyone in labour -

only kidding, its too far off for me to get excited about my own, but I am very excited for all of you (am questioning whether I am over-reacting )

My baby has been doing Olympic Gymnastics today and I feel like I have had 7 shades of sh*t kicked out of me.

foxybrown · 20/06/2007 17:36

Daisy, Ascot is tomorrow. I'll be the fat bird in the long black dress with pink flowers on, and a black 'fascinator' rather than hat (got a big hat last year and took it back the next day - how cheap am I?? )

annobal · 20/06/2007 17:40

Sausages are good Foxy, esp when followed by the bribe of choc cake if you eat all your broccoli and carrots .

Think you guys are doing amazingly well - esp TA being 16 days overdue. I definitely agree with Lulu - am in awe of your strength and patience.

Thanks Klaw - nothing further unfortunately but at least I managed to get out of the house and grumps...

doggus · 20/06/2007 17:57

I shall watch out for you foxy - I love those fascinators, I have a grey one.

DKMAFME - I am at the same stage as you I think - I am slightly bleeding brown blood every day, and feel crampy but nothing else is happening.

I am SO excited about all these babies, can't wait to hear more from Bumper and TA.

trendaverter · 20/06/2007 18:05

Very tired, can't sleep

I spell check my posts, not that you'd know sometimes!

Pains have eased off for a mo. How is everyone?

daisyboo · 20/06/2007 18:07

Will look out for you foxy.....

No more news from TA???

trendaverter · 20/06/2007 18:08

I'm here!
Exhausted

daisyboo · 20/06/2007 18:10

ah there you are.....my question has been answered then.

Can you do the up and down stairs thing? take the dog out for a walk...get that bub's head pressing on your cervix.

I remember after being dosed with prostin with DS being sent to walk around the hospital for what seemed like hours. It was very surreal as it was still being built and only the maternity unit and geriatric units were open so there was no-one there, especially in the evening!

trendaverter · 20/06/2007 18:12

Daisy you are right
Have sent DH off to make me half a sandwich, need some energy, will try going for a little walk after

doggus · 20/06/2007 18:16

My god, TA - are you still at home, I thought you'd gone off to give birth. Brave you - what's happening on the contractions?

foxybrown · 20/06/2007 18:18

Yes, do keep moving TA, it really does help! Keep your fluids up, try to eat, walk even when all you want to do is lie down.

You are so nearly there!

foxybrown · 20/06/2007 18:19

Hi Derlor, am so glad its easing off a little.

trendaverter · 20/06/2007 18:22

yes still here

Contractions still coming hard, still taking breath away, still every sodding 6 minutes, lasting about a minute.

I think it sort of eased off/failed to progress because I am exhausted. I have just had a bite to eat, will see if that helps, and am just about to take dog for a walk with DH, see if that can't get things kick started.

Progress seems slow Not going in to hospital though until I can't cope any more - I have had a few moments where I felt like that but I can keep going on my own for now.

Will be back on after a little stroll!

foxybrown · 20/06/2007 18:25

you are doing brilliantly TA!

Klaw · 20/06/2007 18:46

Great to hear from you TA, take it easy, and know that you are doing soooo well, every contraction that you have is one less to go...

Sending soothing labour vibes!

lulumama · 20/06/2007 18:49

good girl, you are doing brilliantly.so well, so strong, you are coping so well, you are amazing

have something to eat, complex carbs and some raspberry leaf tea with a spoon of honey in it

and keep on doing what you are doing...

nipple stim if you can bear it

hollyandalice · 20/06/2007 19:09

TA you are brilliant! So glad you are coping so well, you are a super star!

Back from my sweep, was a disaster! Waited for over an hour in the boiling hot hospital and got forgotten about. Finally got my sweep and am only 1cm and posterior, so nothing will happen for at least another few days. I'm so gutted and upset. I burst into tears as soon as I left the hospital. I was so looking forward to having a home birth, but I'm sure I'm going to have to be induced again.

Sorry for moaning when all this exciting stuff is happening, but I feel so shit!

Hope everyone else is well xxx

annobal · 20/06/2007 19:16

Oh Holly . I'm so sorry it didn't go well. Please don't lose heart - you have loads of time and are doing everything right to avoid another induction. xxx

foxybrown · 20/06/2007 19:16

Holly, holly, holly, now stop all that negative stuff! There's no need to get down about it and don't panic. Plenty of time for it to all come good - you were only due yesterday, so lets relax and take some deep breaths.....

daisyboo · 20/06/2007 19:18

Aw Holly.....(((((((((hugs))))))))) to you.

get your feet up and some herbal tea. Have they made an appointment for a further sweep. You've loads of time yet before they make you have a hospital birth, keep positive and focussed

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 20/06/2007 19:18

I'm back!
Been and fed the horse some apples and had a long walk with the dog.

TA - well done!! I'm sending lots of vibes your way!!

Holly - sorry you didn't get the news you wanted today - but you still have ages yet - really. Check out that spinning babies link from lulumama - I'm sure you can get him moving about into the blast off position. Chin up hun

hollyandalice · 20/06/2007 19:27

Deep cleansing breaths...in...out...

I have another sweep in a week when they will also book my induction . I was convinced that I would be around 3 cm as have been having loads of tightenings and a show. Maybe I was just being too hopeful and have had my hopes dashed.

Any news from bumper? Has she gone to hopital?

daisyboo · 20/06/2007 19:31

her last post was at 1:15......I've been carrying my mobile around with me all afternoon...will post as soon as I hear anything!

Should hopefully be some news soon!
