men have no sense at times, do they?

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 20:58

WTF is he thinking??? Honestly, tell him a big 'tut' from me.

Yes, I have nutella, and yes, I shall try it! yummo!

But I'm going to have a bag of crisps first

daisyboo · 15/06/2007 21:03

Just checked Nikie1's thread...she's had quite a big show going on and was heading for the hospital!

Where's TA gone?

Weight loss is continuing ladies...after my initial slow start, I've now lost nearly a stone....only one more to get back to my pre-pg weight, and hopefully I'll keep going and get back to my pre Mysticredranger weight.

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:04

He's just put her to bed with her bottle, whether she'll stay there or not is a different matter.

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:06

Hooray daisy, good going! I am determined to get back to pre alice weight. I feel like such a heifer!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:07

Daisy my two favourite flavours, cherry garcia and chunky monkey!

I am here! Kind of... still in pains, a bit stronger now, kind of distracted (also watching idiots on BB, I am a heathen for sure)

Pains every ~5 mins, 40 secs long, more painful. Am tired been getting these since 2pm - but not complaining!!!

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:08

Wow TA! Have you phoned the mw? If they are every 5 mins they might want you to go in and be monitored for a bit. Am vvv excited for you!

daisyboo · 15/06/2007 21:08

TA....I think this is it.....they're only going to get stronger from here on in! woooooo you'll have your baby soon!

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 21:10

when are you meant to phone the MW??

daisyboo · 15/06/2007 21:10

down in the carrycot something stirs......

back later

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:10

I haven't called anyone, they are still a little irregular and I can handle the pain fine for now, no real problems...if it gets anything more definate I will call but for the moment I am good.

I have had enough false alarms not too get too excited!

I will of course keep you posted but for now things seem to be slow but sure

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:11

I think you are supposed to phone when they are every 5 mins. I'm sure that's what I was told.

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:12

My old mw said that when they get to painful to talk through then to go in. If they get any worse ring the unit so they at least know that you might be coming in tonight.

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:13

They are still just over 5 mins...some (still!) closer to 6 mins. They are not more frequent but they are getting stronger.

DH rubbing feet helps!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:13

Yes I was told only to call when I felt I was getting close to not coping with the pain.

I feel a long way from that tbh.

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:15

Well, like lulu said earlier, don't leave it til the head is crowning!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:15

HAhahah oh go on that would be fun.

DH...quick...CATCH!

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:16

God, imagine the horror! My dp would faint and drop him!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:17

hahaha your dp is a pussy though from what I have gathered

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:21

I read some of that thread about the names...what gives?! oh come on, everyone play nicely now.. what's the point in all that, no-one means any harm!!

I only chose my name because I have a blog called the same, I certainly didn't lurk looking for inspiration...unlike you tallulahBELLE

doggus · 15/06/2007 21:22

TA - good luck, we are all thinking of you, hope this is it. It's your first isn't it (just looked at your profile, you really look like someone famous but can't think who). My first too, it's odd when you don't know what to expect (but have a bloody good idea from mumsnet).

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 21:26

Thanks Doggus

Yes, it's my first, not my last though I think, DH wants a cricket team. Lucky me.
I look like someone famous?! Blimey.

MN has been the ultimate lifesaver, cannot praise it (and its lovely inhabitants enough).

I have learnt to expect the unexpected, that there is no formula to pregnancy and the whole experience varies wildy from woman to woman. That in itself has helped. I feel more empowered for having perused these forums.

doggus · 15/06/2007 21:29

Me too on how much mumsnet has helped. I won't be able to do without it once lo is born either.

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 21:29

My dp will have a 5 a side team soon! Yes, he is a pussy! LOL!!

justbeme · 15/06/2007 21:30

Just quickly popping in - Good luck TA, if "this is it!" - I shall be looking at my phone 2mrow!!

Sleep well ladies, off to keep my Dp company!
