RGPargy · 27/06/2007 21:48

Hang on, there's that word again. Sex. I have no idea what it means!!! I got pregnant by sitting on a toilet seat in a public loo.

Pixiefish · 27/06/2007 21:55

so that's what happened RG

choudru · 27/06/2007 21:58

LOL RG!

Littleoldme - IF and WHEN George Clooney turns up at my door, I shall send him your way.

But this only applies until I become a rampant sex maniac the day after my 6 week checkup.

Pixiefish · 27/06/2007 22:04

I'll be too scared to have sex till this one's a teenager

Plus we don't want any more and dh reckons he isn't going for the snip. I am crap at rememebring the pill so that's that

RGPargy · 27/06/2007 22:06

You could always have a coil fitted, Pixiefish? Works fine for me - i had the non-hormone one and i was fine.

Pixiefish · 27/06/2007 22:10

ew- don't fancy that either RG. tbh- I'm 37, will be 38 in february and dh will be 40 in March and 2 will be enough so snip or no nookie

MrsJetson · 27/06/2007 22:56

I'll send George round to you now he's just leaving, once we've packed up the Scrabble! Sex? Sex drive? Who are the teachers here? I have no idea what you are talking about.....!

I have had quite a productive couple of days - huge huge huge argument with my bloody mother - my bump went absolutely rigid - poor little thing. I felt so awful, but I could not stop myself.

Apart from that - we have decided on the name for LO!! Hurrah..... I like it - no I love it!! Which is always good. It just means that out of four children, numbers 1 and 3 have the same inital as do 2 and 4. Shouldn't matter though? Oh and I gave in .....apart from buying my first lot of Crocs for the children - I saw some really beautiful pink clothes - that just HAD to be bought. So cute...now I am really really excited!! I'm going to see a 5 week old too on Saturday - oh the smell! OK stop getting over broody!!

The other things that have happened are our French house will be signed over next Thursday, so no more ours but the new keys to the UK house should be with us the day DH arrives back in the UK! Yippee. My new car also gets delivered on the same day... Ladies I do feel that NOW I can have this LO!

Glad to see the scans are going well, we can all enjoy and relax now!

Does anyone else have to have the Anti-D?

Pixiefish · 28/06/2007 08:16

Glad stuff is being sorted MrsJ. House moving sucha traumatic time- can't imagine if you're not even in the same country at the time .

I'm a teacher btw

Wow Mrs J, things are really moving for you (no pun intended)

Cant believe we're STILL waiting to exchange on our house - it's our seller's seller that is holding things up. I am going to bash her with a baseball bat if she doesn't get her finger out!!!

Still, it's nice to have plenty of time to pack and sort - very theraputic to chuck away all your crap that you just know you're never going to use again.

We just want to get in the new house now. It's even starting to piss DP off, and that's saying something as he's normally so laid back!!

Changing the subject, has anyone's bump appeared to have shrunk? I'm sure mine has! I swear it's got smaller over the last few days Perhaps baby has made a little nest in my back and isn't going to come out for man nor beast. Also what i have noticed is that the LO kicks in the same place all of the time - anyone else have this too?

RGPargy · 28/06/2007 09:49

Loopy - sorry to hear about DD2 having HF&M!!

So is it THAT sort of HF&M then?? Seriously, would you be infectious to animals etc??

FCH · 28/06/2007 09:58

Hello all,

I am struggling to keep up with all the developments on this thread - is this another skill that will come with motherhood?

Loopy - I am currently working in Andover (ex-DLO) - DH got posted back home in May so not seeing much of him at the moment but time is flying!

RE the earlier questions about Maternity Leave I am cheating a bit. I have kept some outstanding annual leave back which I am going to take in October so I will be doing that from more or less 36 weeks, then ML proper from 39+1, but I am working about 200 miles from home, and from my MW / GP / Local Hospital / Birth Partner etc so I think I should probably get home in case of any unforseen circumstances!

littleoldme · 28/06/2007 10:06

Loopy thanks for sending George round. So thoughtful of him to bring his own jar of Nutella .

Mrs J - so pleased that everything is working out for you. Hopefully you can now relax and start to enjoy.

RG - My bump hasn't grown for about 3 weeks. People now keep tellinge me how un pg I look. I tend to get movement in the same place and very erratically. Sometimes it is v active and then I don't feel anything for a few days. Apparantly it depends on the position of the placenta as this can cushion the kicks.

Loopy- Hope you've got a tray of dettol by your front door. Hope you aren't going too bonkers with bordeom.

LizzieO · 28/06/2007 10:19

mornin all

Sparklygothkat
My goodness three premmie births, have they given you explanations for any of them ?
I had a perfect pregnanacy up until 31 weeks and then suddenly my waters broke....not that i actually knew thats what they were at the time docs just said it could be a number of reasons, ie infection etc

Choudru
MW has said to me just to think of this as a normal fullterm pregnancy, i will be seeing a consultant after my 22 scan next week. But i guess if babies ready to come its ready to come

have a good thursday one and all, i'm at home with DS today ( i work Mon to Weds)

LizzieO · 28/06/2007 10:28

mornin all
I very foolishly got my toddler hooked on pink milk (the powdered Nestle stuff) i used to love it when i was little and you know how you sometimes want to share your favourite childhood food with them.

ANyway really silly as he then started asking for it all the time, and we noticed that when he went to bed he would be an absolute loony, like he had just had drugs of something. ANyway the story now is that we have run out of pink milk (forever if you know what i mean) can anyone suggest a nice additive free milkshke type of drink that i can replace his pink milk with

would be extremely grateful for suggestions x

RGPargy · 28/06/2007 10:35

Personally i would just wean her off of it completely. Cant do her any harm to have pure milk!

FCH · 28/06/2007 10:41

Can you try a drop of Ribena in it to colour it? I read somewhere that it was originally formulated to be mixed with milk and won't curdle!

Oh right, silly me, Loopy

Strawberries sounds like a good idea too actually. Didn't think of that!

Oh and YANBU!!!! They are being incompetant to the MAX!!!

littleoldme · 28/06/2007 12:36

RG - YANBU ??

Re the whole pink milk thing. I think I'd put something pink and nasty tasting in it and insist it was the same stuff. Then he wouldn't want to drink it. Is my child going to grow up with deep psychological issues?

Have you seen those Nesqik straws - what a rancid concept.

RGPargy · 28/06/2007 12:51

Littleoldme - it means You Are Not Being Unreasonable.

I dont like the idea of the Nequik straws either - that little boy on the advert puts me off them completely lol!!

I used to love Nesquik too as a ahem kid ahem but i also like the Crusha milkshakes. Even better when you can stick some ice cream in it and whizz it up in the blender!
