I can't believe how many of you were online at 5 this morning. I knew I should have turned the computer on.
Had a painful night with really bad period pains, and LO was wriggling for England. I seriously thought everything might be starting. I started off in bed, then told DP I had bad indigestion and went to sleep on the sofa, but with a towel under me, just in case, I didn't want to say anything to him as I wasn't sure, and wanted him to sleep instead of fret. Eventually managed to get a couple of hours sleep. At 5am I woke again, still in pain and really uncomfy on the sofa so I went to the spare room, managed to get more sleep and finally rejoined DP at 10am in our bed and told him about the pains. It all seems to have settled down now. It still hurts, but not as much, so I'm just going to keep bouncing on my ball and try to enjoy my day.

Typhoonsmum - Sorry can't help you with the platelets, I should know, but my mind has gone numb. Sam however is a great name and I think you should stick to your guns (I'd love it for my LO, but my brother is a Sam.)

Emmyb and Marchhare, sending out good labour vibes to you both.

Afternoon all- have posted on the pregnancy bit but wanted to ask you all as well. In the last day or 2 when the baby moves (especially low movements) it gives me a really sharp stabbing pain, low down at the front and back. It feels like I am REALLY constipated but I know I'm not. Is this normal? I'm assuming its because the baby has maybe dropped but just wanted to check.
Also, some of the movements the baby makes in my sides feel a bit clicky- can't really explain that one very well. Assume that its just run out of room now.
Any advise greatfully received! X

derlor · 07/07/2007 17:26

oh oh sorry for gatecrash but someone on the June thread used to talk about 'clicky' sensation. i'll try to find out who and get them to help you.....
other seneations you are feeling seem normal to me - LOADS of us felt that too

derlor · 07/07/2007 17:30

PPS - i've requested help for you from the Junies.....hopefully help will be along soon x

JAM - I managed to remove my rubber gloves and take a much needed break but now Im wandering around looking for jobs to do! Its driving me insane...quite happy to come round your house and wait on you seeing as how you feel poorly! Good for you for having the shot of spirit. I am sure that it did no harm to LO!

PPS - Sorry to hear about your pains. I am a first timer so cant really offer any advice. I have to say though mine feels so low and heavy that I can't believe I can hold this in much longer!

Bilblio, Emmyb & Marchbunny...thinking of you and hoping that one of you can get the 7/7/7 cool birthday! Sending good labour vibes over!

I'm feeling a little moody for some reason
Im not trying to pick a fight with my DH but would happily go for one!
I know its his day off but all he wanted to do was lay on the couch and watch the live earth concert. I'M BORED!!!!!

tiggsy · 07/07/2007 18:15

hi everyone. spent the night in hospital last night with a pe scare but tests came back normal, had the fright of my life tho so making myself rest for next few days! dp thinks he should rest too rather than doing the housework...
has anyone got any idea when you can start taking arnica? got my cs in just over two weeks and not really sure.
hope everyones had a good day and enjoyed the sun x

dewmeadow · 07/07/2007 20:42

tiggs - the health shop woman I talked to said when you go into labour, so if you're going for a planned section, would that be the day of teh CS or day before?

Any 7/7/7 babies? The suspense is killing me, and Im so envious ofteh "show" people.

MMN - congrats on your wee girl - beautiful name - I was wondering where you had got to!

Also to MMN, lovely names too.

bubble78 · 07/07/2007 21:48

oh it was not easy but this time just used gas and air and it sounds strange but i quite enjoyed the experience if it was bloody pain full
and thank god it was quick

bilblio · 07/07/2007 21:51

Congratulations Bubble, and Lydia is another lovely name.
Sounds like it was a nice speedy labour too. I think I could deal with that.

I've had slight pains all day, but nothing like I had during the night, I think I've missed the 07/07/07 baby, unless I have a very speedy labour.

My friends brought the sunshine with them, so we've had a lovely day sat in the garden putting the world to rights while I bounced on my ball. (And they tried not to laugh at me.)
It's a bit strange to think that next time I'll see any of them we'll be a family not a couple.

After they left we had to nip to the shops and as we'd been showing off the pram/carseat etc, I suggested to DP that I show him how to put the car seat in the car while the weather was nice.
Well after 3 attempts we got it in, (the seat belt kept winding itself up) then I realised that we'd done it wrong anyway. So we've now decided that every time we go out we're going to put the car seat in the car, then by the time the baby arrives we might be able to do it properly and without distressing the child too much

Myfairone · 07/07/2007 21:52

Bubble - Huge congratulations on your safe arrival. I have to say you have made it sound so easy...I'm sure it wasn't but you can give us the details when you have time. In the meantime, enjoy your little one and love the name!

Beyonceen - yes to everything you said! I'm bored of feeling a twinge and wondering if 'this is it'! Really really want to meet my LO

My DH has gone to bed...some Saturday night this is turning out to be!

Myfairone · 07/07/2007 21:54

Bilblio - Glad you had a great day and good thinking on the car seat project! I am going to play with mine tomorrow as I have no idea how it goes in!

Nite all and congrats again bubble.

Miaou · 07/07/2007 22:00

Oooh congratulations MMN and bubble! Lovely to hear about all these babies popping out everywhere

I got a knock on the door this evening from my friend's dh, to say that my friend has just had her baby 4 weeks early!! All is well though and she will hopefully be out on Monday. I will call her and arrange a visit early next week - so excited for her! She wasn't due until 10 days after me!!

Well after going on about how great I was feeling I finally overdid it yesterday - I had to drive into town twice to drop off and pick up my dds who were at their playscheme in the morning, then in the afternoon we went swimming and I did about 10 -15 lengths of the pool (not all at once though!). Then we went to the supermarket. But when I was finishing my tea, I suddenly felt so tired I was ready to burst into tears - you know that totally exhausted, weepy feeling? So I went to lie down on my bed (about 5.15pm) - and didn't leave it again! Dh put ds to bed and I stayed there too tired to move! Didn't sleep though - still awake at 2am this morning (grr). So today we've had a very quiet day - dh put up a blackout blind in ds's room that I made a couple of days ago, and I drove dd2 over to a friend's house for the afternoon, and I started knitting a sweater for dd1. We played Monopoly this evening and amazingly I won (amazing because I was too tired to concentrate properly!!)

M/w coming to do my bloods tomorrow. I was doing a bit of a search online and discovered there is a link between restless legs and low iron stores. I've had restless legs for weeks now but never told the m/w (kept forgetting - oops).

Sorry for the waffle - good luck to all those having shows/twinges - and I really hope someone had a 7/7/7 baby!!

(Oh and it's my birthday tomorrow - just remembered, pmsl!!)

Chooster · 07/07/2007 22:29

Hey July ladies - Congrats Madmum and welcome to Mairi. I'm sitting hjere wondering who may be in hospital right now pushing away . There were a few likely candidates.

I'm definately not one of them. No rwinges or anything unexplainable, just loads of BH and the usual hip pain at night. I've another mid-wife appt this Thursday but, unless something changes, am pretty sure they'll again tell me he's not engaged.

Miaou - Hope you get a good iron / blood result tomorrow

Enjoy your sundays everyone

Chooster · 07/07/2007 22:34

Oh, quite a few posts while I was catching up.. Congratualtions Bubble!! Another girl to join the crowd! . The birth sounds almost pleasant!

Miaou - I've had restless legs too, but hadn't realised the link to low iron... Ooops!

Anyway am off to drink my first cup of raspberry leaf tea

MelissaM · 08/07/2007 02:36

Hi All

Congratulations Bubble & MMN on your new arrivals. Great names! Good luck to anyone else who is imminent!

Well looks like my lo is well on it's way. Hind waters went 4.30am yesterday and main waters at 7:45pm. Had niggles on and off all day. MW came out at 8:45 as I was a little concerned about the amount of blood in waters, but all ok apparently. As my contractions hadn't really kicked off she did a sweep and I was already 2 cm dilated. Advised to go for a walk and then get some sleep while I can. Can't sleep now, so bouncing on my ball at comp! [Hmm] contractions slowed down again so might have to walk around a bit again!

Will keep you all informed how I get on with planned hb!

Cyee · 08/07/2007 04:22

Hi MelissaM - another nighttime ballbouncer here. Woke at about 1.30am with pains. Couldn't decide if it was tummyache or not. But they seem to be pretty regular. No show, no waters, no way I can sleep either... so sitting here bouncing away. The pains are a bit ouchy though.... I am braced for this being a practice run, since I haven't really had any twinges otherwise..

Many congrats Bubble and welcome Lydia! Delighted to hear things went well.

Take care all!!

MelissaM · 08/07/2007 04:35

Hi Cyee

Hope things aren't too painful, but that they move along nicely for you. If you decide to start timing things, this is really useful.

Keep moving around if you can - it really seems to be helping me. Good luck!

Cyee · 08/07/2007 04:54

Thanks Melissa - already on ContMaster!!! Averaging every 5/6 mins, lasting 30/40 secs. Painful but I can still hum... so not that painful!
Good luck to you too!!

MelissaM · 08/07/2007 05:01

mine are about 4 mins apart and lasting 55 -60 secs. seem to be getting stronger!
