hi all just thought i'd drop in again and say hi, havent posted for a few days. i'm still very pregnant with just over 2 weeks to go, moving into the new house this weekend hopefully after dh has finally finished decorating etc. Just realised that madmumnika hasnt posted for ages?? hope everythings ok

my iron levels are down to 9 but have started iron therapy so hopefully the levels will come up before the birth. I've got my last scan next week - Fri 13th but mw rekons this one feels about 7lb ish. So hopefully dd1's small size was just down to the eclampsia.

Congratulations to all the new arrivals hope your all getting on ok.

Myfairone · 06/07/2007 17:15

Hi everyone,

I can't answer individually as I have no idea at this stage who said what! All I do know is that I feel sooo heavy! I am sure that my LO was trying shake hands with me today when I went to pee...it feels so low!

I felt so guilty about my dog not going out that I braved a walk around the park but the backache and constant BH meant he only got 20 mins...better than nothing I guess.

My discharge seems to have completely stopped (sorry if thats TMI) It would make sense to me that it would increase now but there seems to be nothing!

I hope that someone gives birth tomorrow, how cool to have 7/7/7 as a birthday! It hadn't occured to me but mainly because I don't even know what day it is half the time! feeling very dumb these days!

Big hugs to all and have a great evening.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 06/07/2007 18:28

JAM, no its gone from 3/5 palp to 4/5 palp, but it was a different mw, who explained it might be just the difference between herself and my normal mws measuring, but then it's quite common for it to float out a bit in a second or subsequent pg.

Yes there were LOADS of pg women in Ikea Thursday. I wouldn't put myself through Ikea at the weekend though! You know it's open until midnight during the week!

twoplusone · 06/07/2007 19:09

Wonder how things are going for bubble. also hope madmumnika is ok she hasnt posted for while as someone pointed out.

Myfairone- well done on the 20min dog walk.

Think baby has bruised my tummy just tot he left of my belly button it feels really bruised and battered..!!!

emmyb · 06/07/2007 21:04

Well just after turning my comp off went to the loo and discovered the 'show'. I know this could still mean a while to go yet but its a start. Enough to send DH in to a panic!!!

Princesspowersparkle · 06/07/2007 21:32

WARNING- MOAN ALERT!!!!!!

Feeling rubbish tonight. My stomach rash is so itchy and sore- nothings working on it, I have stomach ache and cramps and also feel like I need a number 2 (sorry for TMI!) but don't think I do. I know I'd be getting my hopes to think this is the start of things so just want to moan!
Hope everyone else is more comfy and enjoying their Friday evenings!

madmumNika · 06/07/2007 21:54

Hi all,
Just a quickie as been offline for ages....so v sorry but have yet to catch up on everyones news...But a HUGE congrats to the new arrivals!

Well at my hospital appt on 21st June my consultant was unhappy with my BP and so admitted me straight away. Despite BP meds it continued to be high & I started to get headaches, flashing lights etc. By the monday they decided I was on my way to full-blown PE and they should get the baby out. However the neonatal unit at the hospital was closed to new babies due to an infection, so we had to be transferred (thankfully not too far away, about an hour from home). Mairi Lee was delivered by emergency c-section on 26th June, (at 36+2 wks) weighing 5lb 8oz. She had some probs so went into NNU where she spent a week and was then finally allowed onto the ward with me, and we both escaped together yesterday!
Slowly settling into home life after 2 weeks in hospital...missed my DS so much & he's v clingy at the moment but sure it will get easier soon.

Hugs to you all xxx

justbeme · 06/07/2007 22:31

Cyee · 06/07/2007 22:53

Huge congrats MMN and welcome Mairi!

Sounds v promising Emmyb - good luck!

Sorry you're feeling a bit crappy PPS - though some of those symptoms could be promosing... hmmmm.. hope you feel better/give birth soon, whichever you want really!

Have a good weekend everyone.

bilblio · 07/07/2007 00:15

Congratulations madmumnika, and welcome Mairi Lee, what a gorgeous name!

Good Luck emmyB, maybe you'll have the 07/07/07 baby.

I was hoping for a 07/07/07 baby too but I don't think it's likely now.
It would be very funny though, we've got 5 friends coming over tomorrow. 3 of them are lads who are really squeamish, one in particular I've had to spend the last 9 months reminding that I'm pregnant, not dying. He always sounds so concerned on the phone. We haven't even seen him since before Christmas he lives closer than all our other friends do (by about 1/2 an hour) and we've invited him up dozens of times, but he always seems to chicken out.
The other 2 friends are girls, one of whom is 6 months pregnant.

They all know I've been having a lot of backache and period like pains the last week and that the Midwife doesn't think I'll make it to my due date (19th).
Would it be really cruel to just pretend to have some contractions?

agnesnitt · 07/07/2007 00:26

'lo everyone.

Had my 38 week ante-natal today, and the midwife has referred me to the consultant because of some niggly things. She wants to be safe not sorry. Carpal tunnel has been confirmed in my hands, but there's nothing can be done as the waiting list for physio would see me out of the other end of this pregnancy even if I went a fortnight over Baby is measuring term, but was measuring for dates last time I was seen, so has grown four weeks worth in just two. Little sod. I'm also on mad pain with my hips. They're sending me for a growth scan on Wednesday so we'll see how things are going then.

Not in the mood for all of this, but I'm sure I'll cope. My appointments are on Wednesday, so I'll pop back then and scream if I need to.

Congrats to all who have de-bumped, and best of luck to those others that are like me still trudging on.

Take care.

Agnes

Chrissybobs · 07/07/2007 05:33

Hello July Mum's to be! I have just joined and I am due with baby no 2 on 11.7.07 (my birthday too)and thought I would take a look at your chats. It's a great comfort to see that so many of you are awake at these awful times too.

I've been having a rough few weeks with pelvic pain, blocked nose, cough, pins and needles, rib kicking etc oh and DD1 constantly waking in the night! (I don't know all the lingo - sorry!)I dug out and listened to my old hypnotherapy tapes and my mother-in-law had DD1 for 2 nights (1st time ever!)and I now feel much better to tackle labour, I think...the baby seems to have clamed down too. I'm hoping for a normal delivery this time as I had emergency CS 1st time around.
Only Braxtons so far and DD1 was 9 days late.I've been up since 2.30 so Im off to try and get some more zzzzzzzz

justbeme · 07/07/2007 05:35

Hi chrissybobs! Welcome! (Im unofficially gatecrashing as I was due 29/6!)

typhoonsmum · 07/07/2007 09:45

Just got a letter from the Midwifes yesterday telling me my platelet levels are low and I need to have them re checked in 4 weeks. I phoned the labour ward and told them I was 37 weeks preg and may not be pregnant in 4 weeks. She told me to get them checked at the next midwife appointment. Told her that was nearly 2 weeks off and she told me to try and get in this week. What are platelets anyway. Haven't they something to do with clotting. HB is 11.4 but they haven't mentioned that. (I checked on computer in work yesterday but didn't think to check the platelets)
Finished work yesterday. FOR 29 WEEKS. Hurrah. I'm a lady if luxury (or dettol and bleach when I blitz the house) till the LO is born.
DP has decided our chosen name of Sam is too girly for a boy and wants a more masculine name. When I asked what he suggested he told me Rambo or Butch. (He was in the pub at the time- so I put the phone down. He can speak to me when he is being sensible.) So I may be back to square one with the name business.

Myfairone · 07/07/2007 09:51

MMN - Congratulations on the birth of Mairi Lee...Thought we hadn't seen you around! Hope all is well.

Princess - Sorry to hear you were feeling down in the dumps. I hope that you feel better today. Not long now!

Emmyb - How very exciting! Are you going to be our 7/7/7 delivery????? Hope all is well and that you have a wonderful delivery!

Well I managed to get some sleep last night and have woken up with some serious 'nesting' urges. In the two hours I have been up I have done laundry, cleaned the cooker, cleaned out the kitchen cabinet with all the cr*p in it, and now thinking of doing my windows! Help, I cant stop!!!!!!!

Big hugs to all and I hope that your bumps are behaving!

Myfairone · 07/07/2007 09:55

Typhoonsmum - As far as I know its connected with your blood's ability to clot. So if your levels were way too low and you had an emergency c-section it would have to be taken into account. Everyones readings are different though so it depends how much yours have fallen and if they are low compared to what they were before you were pregnant.

As for the names, I have the same problem here! DH asked if he could add one to the list and I hate it!!!!! Just hoping that when the emotion of the birth has him all overcome I can suggest the one that I like and he will go for it!

marchbunny · 07/07/2007 10:30

Congratulation MMN on the birth of your daughter glad you have now escaped from hospital.

Well, (deep breath) I have been awake since 3am with some good contractions - have had a show (well some has come away)! TMI Look away now - been for a poo twice!!!

Got up, got kids dressed, phoned my mum and dad who are on their way (fairly long journey), and things have slowed down! Typical! Who said 3rd babies are quick. Am still getting some contractions and have a lot of pressure down below, so perhaps it will be 07/07/07! Who knows.

justbeme · 07/07/2007 11:03

OOhh good luck March Bunny - you could start a live birth thread!!

marchbunny · 07/07/2007 11:10

Thank you Am hoping to go to village fete this afternoon!! Kids are desperate to go. Nothing much more to report still a few contractions - irregular and not too painful. May be things will get more interesting later - surely this can't go on for too long!! without a baby to show for it. x

emmyb · 07/07/2007 12:06

Grrrrrrrr

Went to hospital at about 6.30 this am as contractions quite strong etc.
Sods law they completely slowed down when arrived as hospital. They examined me and was only 2cm dil. So Im back at home with irreg contrac. Its all very slow!!!

Oh well hopefully it wont stop altogether and we should have lo soon!!

Marchbunny hope all goes well with you xx
