We have run out of space on the other thread.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
bubble78 · 28/06/2007 21:51

it was just when i cough but now its when i walk but still feels like it coming from where you wee

cant smell it as full of cold asked dp but he said he could not tell lot of use he is

the one big cough i did seemed to start the leaking ????

JennsterFrogLover · 28/06/2007 21:57

Hmm is it still leaking? Might be your waters after all! Keep the maternity pad you soaked (really) and contact whoever you are meant to when you go into labour. They will probably say if you don't get any contractions withing 24 hours then they will want to see you due to infection risk. That's what I was told last time, but I was already getting contractions at the time, and as I was having a home birth then the midwife came out to see me. Do you have a towel to sleep on, or one of those incontinence mats?

bubble78 · 28/06/2007 21:59

yes got a towel already on the bed to be honest ive never asked who i contact perhaps i could just ring delivery suite if i get concerned

and really keep the pad????

JennsterFrogLover · 28/06/2007 22:08

Ring delivery suite now ( that's who I am meant to contact) and they will tell you what to do. No point second guessing. Get a good nights sleep and good luck.

JennsterFrogLover · 28/06/2007 22:10

keep towel in case they want a sniff [snigger]. They may laugh at you, but I've heard them asking to do that honest!

twoplusone · 28/06/2007 22:13

Bubble initially it sounded like it was wee leaking when you cough, butif it happened whilst walking to I second JennsterFrogLover and think you should phone delivery suit to get it checked out.

Goodluck hun.xx

twoplusone · 28/06/2007 22:23

Myfairone- Dont know what your goosebump things could be, can you get in with your docs in the morning and see what they say.. and to get it checked.

I questioned dh when he came home why he didnt answer the phone his reply
"It didnt ring look.....oh I have a missed call from you my love, I am sorry but the phone didnt vibrate"
My response...
"did you not think to check the phone in your breaks"

HIs "NO... sorry".

Huskygirl - sorry you are having such a bad time with your mw etc... I would put in a complaint about it all.

Bilbio- lol at your dh coming running at the slightest thing with you.. Nice to know he is so attentive though..

Abgirl - hope the tightenings are getting stronger and you get to try for your VBAC.. as I said before I was so proud of myself after mine..

SOrry if this is TMI.. but things are defo getting ready labour with me.. we just had sex again (what has come over me dh thinks all his xmases hcve come at once!!) and as well as being soft things have changed shape down there... think it was a nice way of him saying things are bigger.!!!.. I still know that I could still be here for a few weeks, but atleast if it id happening now hopefully labour wont be too long. (well thats what mw said today.. that if things start to happen like that before labour it should be quicker as it wont have to do it in labour.. ) I am waughling now sorry girls...

See you all in the morning.. Hope everyone is ok..

Hope madmum is ok as abgirl said she hasnt posted in a few days..

JennsterFrogLover · 28/06/2007 22:32

Night folks. Hope everything goes well Bubble, Abgirl and eveybody else with stirrings...

Princesspowersparkle · 29/06/2007 08:14

Morning all- hope you slept well!

Hope everyone who is experiencing little niggles are going well and will soon have little babes!

Quick questions- does this sound like my body is getting ready for labour? For the last couple of evening and nights (and a bit throughout the day) I've been getting really bad pains low down in my groin and bottom of my bump. They feel like when you have really bad trapped wind and constipation (sorry if TMI )but I know I haven't. Plus my tummy does keep tightening but I'm not sure if they are BH or baby just sticking its bum out.... I'm probably just clutching at straws but after 3 hrs sleep a night for the last few nights I need to see a light!

2+1 lol at your husband. Mine is like that too and we've finally (after much nagging and me threatening not to tell him I'm in labour) come up with a system for me to get hold of him. I don't know what it is with men and them not liking their 'vibrate' function but it would make things so much easier if they just used it!

PPS (37 Weeks today and counting!!!) XX

Myfairone · 29/06/2007 08:16

So how is everyone this morning?

I slept pretty badly but feel okay now I am up. Still have the rash over my tummy but have a midwife appointment this afternoon so will get her to check it.

Its kind of hit me this morning that although my body definitely feels like its preparing for labour I could potentially have another 6 weeks to go
My countdown clock says 30 days to due date and I want it to be earlier!

Think I have to go shopping today to take my mind off things!

Hope everyone is well and that bumps are behaving!
Big hugs to all.

Myfairone · 29/06/2007 08:18

Princess - We posted at the same time...Sounds like BH to me as I have been getting tons of those tightenings too. As for the pain in the groin, could it be the little ones hands moving around?

I am sure you body is well in preparation for labour at 37 weeks. Good luck and I hope that you feel okay

Flame · 29/06/2007 08:18

* DEWMEADOW*!!!!!

We haven't seen you in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages and want to know how you're doing!!!! Come over to Feb 06 for 5 mins and give us a roundup

Princesspowersparkle · 29/06/2007 08:20

Myfairone- its horrid to think we could go 2 weeks or so over

Hope you get your rash sorted out soon- hopefully its something simple like stretching skin. Fingers crossed your MW can enlighten you.

huskygirl, ring the hospital and ask to speak to your consultant's secretary. Say to him/her that you have concerns and would like to speak to the consultant either by phone or proper appointment. I wouldn't rely on your appointment later in July as you don't always get to see the consultant themselves at normal checks and you will feel much better if you get your concerns addressed sooner rather than later.

abgirl · 29/06/2007 09:05

Hi bubble78, was wondering if you had any more news?

Myfairone · 29/06/2007 09:10

Thanks for the stats Abgirl..are you getting nice and organised just in case!?

JennsterFrogLover · 29/06/2007 09:24

Permission granted for labour to start abgirl . Glad you got a good night's sleep.

How you doing Bubble?

Caroline1852 · 29/06/2007 09:45

Bubble - Apparently leaking amniotic fluid tends to be more leaky when you are laying down and less leaky when you walk or are standing up (I think because the baby's head forms a plug). But this may not be the case with you if your baby is in a different position or whatever. I would definitely get it checked out. Good luck.
Abgirl - doing the stats nice and early may be part of your prelabour nesting - getting everything nice and organised so your mind is free for labour and birth. Good luck.
I have got a consultant appt today and I should be given a date for my c-section which I think they try and do it about 10 days early. I am paranoid that they are going to keep me in this morning which is completely impossible as we are having two boys from an overseas boarding school staying with us while they play my oldest son's school team at cricket and he would like me to go and watch..... and I would like to go and watch. Can feel my blood pressure rising at the difficulty a hospital stay would present!

twoplusone · 29/06/2007 09:47

Thanks for the stats abgirl..

Last night as I was going to bed I noticed a damp patch ont he the wall going upstairs.. walked back down and checked the wall, going down the stairs into the cellar.. damp patch!! there too. DH called the relevant people this morning and they have come to have alook.. they think (from what I can gather) that my pipe woork all needs replacing between the bathroom and down stairs loo.. Just what we need as babs is coming.. They are coming on monday to take alook behind the wall in the downstairs loo.

the workman also pointed out to me a bit outside where the wall has started to crack.. ( in an alcove at the front) and paint is peeling (had noticed the paint peeling just thought it was age!!) and thinks that bath is also leaking..

looks like babs could arrive into a building site.

he said no chance they can have it done in two wks.. (ready for due date) . BUt if I want they will leave it a few months till babs is older. WTF.. I then said no I want it sorted asap.. I do not want dd ds and ds2 living in a house with leaking pipes and damp walls.. just when I was thinking my life was becoming relativly quiet and normal again!! lol..

PPS- does sound like things are getting themselves ready.. this can go on for weeks.. Mine have been for the last week, so far.

Myfairone- enjoy your shopping trip today, and goodluck at the mw this afternoon.

Bubble- How are you getting on..

Abgirl... sending you more labour vibes.....

On sunday we can officially say our babies are due this month!!!!!!! yeah yeah yeah..

Cyee · 29/06/2007 10:31

Twoplusone - I am practically wetting myself laughing at your last post. I genuinely am sorry to hear your house may have pipe leaking, but further to your earlier post (just been catching up) I thought you were going to say that you and your DH had left these damp patches all over your house after your frolics!!! My jaw was resting on the desk!!!

Bubble - defo get checked out. If your waters break you can leak sporadically as water from the top of the bump moves around to your bits while you sit/move etc. Hence you might not leak when sitting but when you stand/change position some more might come out. I don't think you should be experiencing ongoing leakage after one coughing incident, and it does sound more substantial than the usual 'oops' leak. Good luck and take care!

Abgirl - after a good night's sleep you must be feeling ready for action!

Princessspower - I have the same feelings both at bottom and top of the bump on occasion. I'm also pretty sure I'm having BH, but like you I have a feel and it sort of just feels like the bum is protruding, it doesn't feel like a 'tightening'.

Take care all. I'm about to take my life in my hands by shaving my legs and going to an acquanatal class with people from NCT. It really does feel like first days of school... sussing everyone out... Have a good day.

twoplusone · 29/06/2007 10:37

cyee- Iam pmsl.......

twoplusone · 29/06/2007 11:43

Quiet here today..

Ds got his final hearing test today.. (clinical measurement) just hoping he will sit still!!. He wouldnt last time.. but to be honest I think they are asking alot of a three yr old.. they have to sit totally still and not talk, as the slightest movement and or sound interfers ..

MelissaM · 29/06/2007 12:32

Wow - you lot were busy yesterday!

Abgirl - Hope things work out for the birth you want. Thanks for the stats. Sending you lots of labour vibes too.

Twoplusone, I can't believe you are still having problems getting hold of your dh! And I thought mine was bad... Can't get over your bedroom antics! DH and I are struggling to even cuddle up as lo gets over excited and boots hell out of both of us! Slightly off putting! sorry to hear about the problems with the leaking pipework. Hope they sort it out as quickly as possible. Also hope DS's hearing test goes ok. Can any 3 yr old sit still?

JAM - sorry to hear you have more house worries. Hope everything gets sorted out soon.

Bilblio I'm with you on the paranoia!

Huskygirl sorry to hear of your experiences. Hope you feel better soon. Agree with Abgirl, it's worth contacting the hosp to try to see consultant earlier.

Bubble, how are you getting on? Hope all is ok.

Had mw app this morning. All is ok. LO is in the best position (back on the left, bum at the top and feet on the right) and is now 3/5th engaged (mw could feel 2/5ths of head) so is slowly slipping downwards! S/he is still really active. We went through some of my birthplan and clarified a few bits that we weren't sure about. DH asked what mw's like to eat and drink (as planning on hb) because obviously we need to keep them happy. MW said they are happy with anything but need lots of caffeine. Must go out and buy some coffee and tea with caffeine as only got decaf! She also reasurred us that lots of bh's and period type pains are a good thing as it means my body is getting ready and probably starting to soften the cervix. Helps cope with them when you know that they are doing something useful!

cornishpixie · 29/06/2007 12:35

Hi all

Princess - I have had the exact same groin pains for a week or so... The MW just smiled and nodded when I complained of them so I think it's just body getting ready. They range from period type aches to real sharp stabbing types! The joys of being pg!!

I have to have a scan on Monday because MW can no longer feel the head... reckons it's either fully engaged or gone breech.. Lets just hope the darling stays in over the weekend - especially with a full moon!? Isn't that meant to get them all going?!?

Hugs to all! xx
