Hi and welsome kitten baby..

you can get rasberry leaf tea from health food shops.. I think tescos and asda do them to. It is supposed to make labour shorter.. I have been taking it for 3weeks now.. (started of at 2 aday now on 4..
Fresh pineapple is supposed to be good too..

As well as sex swallowing is supposed to be better to help..!!!!

But remember things will only happen when baby and body are ready for things to happen regardless of what you try..

kittenbaby · 20/06/2007 13:28

Hi first star
thanks for the advice i think ill try the raspberry tea
sounds quite nice
how far along are you? and is this your 1st baby
how are things going for you ?
xx

kittenbaby · 20/06/2007 13:31

hi twoplusone
ah i forgot about pineapple! sounds a bit tastier than swallowing you know what !! hehe
xx how many weeks are you ?
xx

Catz · 20/06/2007 13:35

Make sure that it's raspberry leaf tea not just raspberry flavour tea. I think you have to go to a health shop to get it rather than picking up a pack of flavoured tea at the supermarket. I got mine from Holland and Barett.

marchbunny · 20/06/2007 13:36

Hello Kittenbaby

8/7 is also my due date according to scans, or 15/7 going by my lmp! Although at the mo I can't believe this little one is going to hang on for that long. I too have also been feeling very niggly, but this also happened with my other dc! I suppose you never can tell when it is going to happen, they put in an appearance when good and ready.

marchbunny · 20/06/2007 13:38

Twoplusone

I read that about swallowing , can't think of anything more likely to bring back the sickness!!

kittenbaby · 20/06/2007 13:41

hi march bunny
which date are you more inclinded to go for the scan date?
have you already got one child ? how old is he/she?

thanks for that catz id prob be sipping loads of raspberry flavoured tea thinking wondr if this is gonna work !!!

twoplusone · 20/06/2007 13:43

My husband keeps hoping that I will but he has no chance.. unfortunatly he also read that swalling can help!!! i would rather stay pg....

Kittenbaby-I am 31 live in Germany, my DH is in the forces.. i am 36+3 due 15th July, this is number three fof me..
DD 10yrs old (11in Oct)
DS 3yrs old (yesterday)

There you go a quick intro hun.xx

We are all a really friendly lot.xxx

twoplusone · 20/06/2007 13:44

kittenbaby- I havent tried the tea yet I take the Rasberry leaf tea capsules..

marchbunny · 20/06/2007 13:47

Kittenbaby
I have two children already ds age 7 and dd age 3 (nearly 4). This little one is a boy.

As for the dates, well, my first two were born on their due dates (going by my lmp), so I should really stick to 15/7 in my mind. But as both scans put me at 8/7 the midwives are also going by this date! Maybe I should just plump for somewhere in between.

I bet you are really excited, do you know whether you are having a boy or girl?

how lovely twoplusone you already have a boy and a girl x
do you know the sex of this baby or are you keeping it as a suprise

lol at your dh reading that, thats the sort of thing that men pick up on isnt it ! hehe
luckily my dh hasnt heard of that and i dont intend on telling him !
mind you hes too scared to even give a decent cuddle, its like he thinks i could break or something he cuddles me really lightly
i tell him to give me a good old bear hug and that when the mwife examines my tummy and has a good feel shes very very firm !
so not to be scared

has your dh been on the forces long? do you get to him much xx

twoplusone · 20/06/2007 13:59

Justaboutmanaging...lol...

Kittenbaby- he has been serving now for 12years.. we live together here, but he has to go away fairly often.. Got back from Afghan, in Feb, he is going away in October for 6weeks, then he will be home for a week, then in the uk for 10days.. He will be home for dec, then looks like he will be nack in the middle est Jan feb time for 6 months..
It stinks but that is the live I chose I suppose when I married him.. TBH I think he volunteers to go for a break from my nagging and the kids...lol..

twoplusone · 20/06/2007 14:00

oh and I am having another boy.. we are goping to call him Lee Anthony..

kittenbaby · 20/06/2007 14:03

hi justabout

lol at the tennis ladies i bet she felt really silly when she realised what she had said!
was everyone looking at you?
xx
sounds great you are still getting out and about xx

kittenbaby · 20/06/2007 14:08

wow twoplus one you must be a very strong woman sounds like ur dh is away quite alot
i dont think id cope as well i do rely on my dh alot
mind you i may cope better than i think if i was in that situation
at least hes working hard for his family and doing something to be proud of xx
like you said he prob finds that its more peaceful in a warzone than the average family home lol xx

twoplusone · 20/06/2007 14:14

kittenbaby- it is amazing how strong you can be when you have to be,( just think to myself I am in the same boat as thousands of other women) TBH I rely on him a lot when he is at home.. but when he is away I like doing everything my way and getting the kids in a routine that works best, etc.. ( But I obvously miss him the girls on this thread were a big help to me when he was away last itme listening to me whige moan etc.. it all I felt like I did...lol)

I am supposed to be doing some washing but can't be bothered to go upstairs and get it.. DD will be home in a few mins from school , she can go upstairs and throw it down for me.. then I can go down and pout it in.. how lazy am I./....lol

JennsterFrogLover · 20/06/2007 14:15

You can tell all your eager dh/ps that it's meant to be prostaglandins in the semen (like in the pessary they insert when they induce you) that is meant to soften the cervix! I hope I didn't completely get the wrong end of the stick there. I've NEVER heard of swallowing! I believe though that you need to do it a couple of times in 24 hours to get a high enough dose though.....And it's not just the semen either. If you equally enjoy it, then you are toning the uterus and giving it practice exercise, but in a nice way . I suppose you could cut out your fella and diy it!

Nipple stimulation works. Gently flicking/rubbing your nipples for upto an hour a session (so they said at NCT classes) three times a day will bring on uterine contractions. I gave it a go last time and could only last 10 mins as they brought on such strong cramps I bottled it. I wasn't quite ready for labour as I still had a few things to do.

JennsterFrogLover · 20/06/2007 14:17

Forgot to add they don't make you swallow the pessary when you go for an induction!

kittenbaby · 20/06/2007 14:25

twoplus one im feeling really lazy too im ment to be washing the bedlinen today off just round to stripping the bed xx

hi jennster lol at bottling it
thats the sort of thing id do
start doing it then chicken out !!
