Wow Mr Derlor!! The stuff you can only dream of!!
Congratulations and look forward to a piccie.

Had my fish and chip supper and now feeling very full - oh and just tried out my TENS machine - I was really worried that it would feel like an electric shock and I'd hit the ceiling - but it was fine. I can see that it would take your mind off having contractions.

Night all - Hope to hear that more babies have landed in the morning!! x

justbeme · 08/06/2007 22:05

awwww she's lovely Mr Derlor!!
I cant wait now!!

trendaverter · 08/06/2007 22:05

Lovely photo

Well done the two of you! I'm off to bed and see if I can't persuade DH for some 'jiggy jiggy' as it were, maybe it will help. Brave man, for I am a whale. I said he needs to help get it out, he said I got it in there what more do you want.

Ahhh bless the man...

Grrrr! My mum has just popped up for the evening and she and I have had an argument. I was saying how I probably wouldn't want any visitors for at least the first week and she was like "you can't do that" er, yes I can. "People will come and visit you if they want to" well they'll find a locked door!

Now I didn't include my mum in this, I am happy for her to come up until she said "well, I'll come when I want" er, no you won't. "I will, I'm not going to be dictated to, if I want to come up I will and you can do anything about it it" yes, I can not let you in!

Then she started having a go at me about how I want everything my way, and I am so rigid and she is very flexible and doesn't work to my rules etc. etc. God she was so annoying! And I said I would never come down to her if she didn't want me to, and she started back tracking and saying "oh, well, if you didn't want me to I wouldn't come up" that's not what you just said. "well I just won't be dictated to by you" Arghhhhh, what am I going to do with her?! She then said "well this is upsetting me now - you are not the only one getting upset, you think you are but you are not." Grrrrr

doggus · 08/06/2007 23:17

Hi bumper, saw your message on my way to bed. Like you I don't want visitors in the first week. Or for example I might have them the first week but not the second. It is totally up to you. What I am telling everyone is that I need family bonding time. Most people understand, a few have tried to argue but I don't care. This time is precious, don't let anyone bully you. xx

bumperlicious · 08/06/2007 23:21

Thanks doggus, sorry, just needed to vent! Probably the last thing you need to hear now. Glad you are back though, thanks for the advice. Sleep well (well, as well as any of us can at the moment!)

MarsLady · 08/06/2007 23:22

Did you all get your secret shower gifts? I've been so busy that I haven't checked.

bumperlicious · 08/06/2007 23:29

Got mine thanks marslady! Thanks for everything, hope you are ok!

Hi all, just to let you know that Twinkle5 had her baby this morning - a baby boy, weight and name unknown. She had the baby at born and her dh said that everything went smoothly. I'm sure twinkle5 will be on her to post her side of the story later (it sounds as though her dh slept through most of the labour!).

foxybrown · 09/06/2007 10:20

Oh how exciting! Congratulations Twinkle! Look forward to all the details, thanks so much for letting us know Pollyanna

foxybrown · 09/06/2007 10:26

Are you a doula DG? I had no idea.

Mr and Mrs Derlor, loved that birth story. Derlor, you are indeed Earth Mother Superior and I bow to you!

She's a gorgeous baby. I want mine now. (cos I bloody well didn't want another yesterday!)

daisyboo · 09/06/2007 10:33

Congrats to Twinkle and we can't wait to hear all about it.

Mr Derlor...what a fab story, but please don't make me laugh, it hurts too much at the moment!! Photo is lovely!

just a quick one guys...I've added some photos to my profile.

visitors.......ILs are coming over this weekend sometime (but bringing some baby stuff of ours that they had), plus BIL and family, but that is it. We've already had one of neighbours over, but she offered to do some shopping for us, so she's allowed.

E sleeping after a really good first night at home.....put her down at 11, she fed for an hour between 2:30-3:30 and that was her until 7:00am. I'm enjoying the much needed catch up on my sleep, even though 3.5 hours isn't much in one stretch, its more than I've had for over two months, so feels wonderful. She's been comfort feeding this morning though, but found her fingers to suck so has drifted back to sleep. MW coming in today and I need to get my iron levels checked I think as I'm paler than a vampire victim at the moment. Pain from engorged boobs bearable, pain from scar getting better, but stairs are truly excruciating. It's a great excuse to be waited on hand and foot!

And my fecking feet are still like sausages!

Twiga · 09/06/2007 10:35

congratulations Twinkle!

Loving Mr Derlors account of birth Derlor, very funny!

riabutterflew · 09/06/2007 11:10

Congratulations twinkle. Also PMSL derlor (my friend had to have her third with her boots and jeans still on because neither her DH or the MW could undo the laces - I would have shouting "get the fucking scissors!") sounds like it was worth waiting for anyway.

I'm with you on visitors, I can't imagine wanting any for at least the first week, especially not anyone with kids. I know m y parents will be ok, but they are literally only round the corner so we can go there easily. I don't like people just dropping in anyway even when I haven't just had a baby!

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/06/2007 11:36

What a great story from Mr Derlor . Now what can I do to make sure mine goes like that?

Congrats Twinkle - and after you saying yesterday that no sign of anything happening! Gives me hope.

bumperlicious · 09/06/2007 11:52

Congratulations twinkle! It's reassuring that she went from "nothing, no twinges" to a baby so soon! It's all happening now!

Going for Thai food today so hoping that might kick start things for me! DH might even get lucky seeing as it's our anniversary tomorrow...

bumperlicious · 09/06/2007 11:53

Oooh and nice to have a MrDerlor as a brief interloper! V sweet. Think my DH would be too terrified to come on here!

justbeme · 09/06/2007 11:57

Ohh Daisy - Love the photos!! She is lovely .
God its so hot here - nearly fainted a minute ago - got the blardy tiler round again so not up to much today..
