Hi Daisyboo - cant wait to see the photos - Emily sounds lovely - oh I can almost smell her !

Waiting on DP to bring in some fish and chips - yummy -

Is it really apparent when LO drops into your pelvis? I "Think" my bump looks lower but im not too sure.

Did I miss a birth announcement - Redfraggle?

foxy, I am f-ing fuming. I know he's no angel and he shouldn't have done what he did (I'm not going into details, but it's certainly no worse than other kids do to him and get off scot-free) but it's so not fair and most rational people can only take so much before they retaliate in whatever way. The other childs parents are on the PTFA so that theory works (I am not and wouldn't be even if it was the only chance of a social life I have between now and dying)! It's a shame it's the only school we can go to. He used to be such a happy, confident boy and was once put into a "social group" as a GOOD EXAMPLE to the ones who couldn't interact. Sometimes the system lets down the ones that need them more than you think (too busy working to damned statistics and labelling).

I am going to try and be calm now. Sorry for the rant - thanks for listening.

DH has an interview tomorrow! (what's the betting he misses it because we're in the labour ward and so misses out on the best job ever? I'm sure they would understand so long as he rings.)

Lucky daisy - relaxing breastfeeding with a glass of wine (start 'em young girl!) I will last about a week I expect, but it'll be nice while it lasts.

TALLULAHBELLE · 08/06/2007 20:12

Yeah - think I mised R/F too. Sorry & congratulations.

daisyboo · 08/06/2007 20:13

Sorry Ria...in my addled sleep deprived state I thought RedFraggle had made her announcememt too.....she was due to have a section on Tuesday as well I think?

hollyandalice · 08/06/2007 20:14

I don't think she has put out a birth announcement yet. She was having her section the same day as daisy and she doesn't have a text buddy. I'm sure she'll update us soon!

I do have to admit that intend to keep a low profile as the other mum is likely to "have a go". And she has previously made no secret of the fact that she thinks my DS is badly behaved.

PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES...

Am being a bad parent and relying on Trumpton for pre-bed calming! Then I will have a beer and chill out. Wish I'd bought more... (I don't want to put them to bed too early in case I start labour as soon as they are asleep. Am I silly? Goodie, another night waking up constantly to see if anything's happening yet!)

daisyboo · 08/06/2007 20:15

Off to feed small all consuming ever demanding one....after story and goodnight kiss to much attention deprived DS! He loves his little sis btw, and wants to give her kisses and cuddles all the time!

foxybrown · 08/06/2007 20:15

Ria, good luck to DH for tomorrow! And do meet with the school and tell them exactly that. It makes me furious that we leave our children in their "care" and they just don't. Am glad you are calming down.

Lovely to have you back on here Daisyboo! Don't all leave me yet for the PN thread will you???

hollyandalice · 08/06/2007 20:16

Bless mystic red ranger, I bet he's a fab big brother! Have fun feeding x

riabutterflew · 08/06/2007 20:18

Thanks holly. Would have felt bad to miss someone out.

I have a cheery story from teatime that I'd forgotten. I was washing up and DS1 mentioned my top was wet (bump being so bloody big that I can't look at water without having a wet bump) and did it mean the baby was coming? He said (having been present and VERY LUCKY not to get splashed when my waters broke with DS2) he wondered if it was "that tube that exploded" when DS2 was born and he didn't want me to have the baby in the kitchen. Bless him, he might be a little shit but sometimes he's a cute one!

annobal · 08/06/2007 20:20

It's okay Foxy - I think I will still be here in mid-July!!

hollyandalice · 08/06/2007 20:20

Awww bless him ria!

annobal · 08/06/2007 20:21

Aww - that's very sweet Ria

foxybrown · 08/06/2007 20:22

you've done bloody well to be here now haven't you Annobel!!! You were predicting another early baby, weren't you?

TALLULAHBELLE · 08/06/2007 20:32

Have nice evening everyone - am off to have chilled of glass wine, whole tub of Pringles & watch Night At The Museum on DVD. Hope the morning brings more beautiful babies.

foxybrown · 08/06/2007 20:39

N'night!

Blimey, had a wiff of clary sage - went straight to my head! Powerful stuff!

foxybrown · 08/06/2007 20:40

I'm off too. Night all xx

doggus · 08/06/2007 21:17

Thank you all for the lovely welcome 'home'. Daisy - huge huge congrats, can't wait to see a pic, she sounds absolutely adorable! I only hope I get one that feeds like that (tho not the teeth bit). Good luck with ADs, Wednesday not far off. I have now been told to stay on mine, I think all and sundry are concerned about PND.

It's very odd, this stage isn't it? I have never felt so mentally and physically knackered but I have this strange urge to clean out all the drawers. Poor dh has a weekend of 'doing the airing cupboard' approaching which is filling him with joy.

riabutterflew · 08/06/2007 21:37

Ha, that nesting thing - it gets us all in the end! Go with it doggus, there's no resisting...

It is still almost light here - it makes me feel more miserable and lonely than ever. I AM TRULY PATHETIC. Beer will kick in soon I hope! Don't know if I should risk waiting up for DH - if he's had a bad night he'll be miserable and will want to be trying something to "hurry me along", and if he's had a good night he'll be on a high ... best go for an early night and be sound asleep I think!

riabutterflew · 08/06/2007 21:44

Am very annoyed with myself. Because I was in such a state after school when I went to the shop I forgot to buy most of the crap I had intended to enjoy tonight. Bugger.

Best go I suppose. Have a good night, hope those with babies get a nice sleep and those who haven't get a nice baby (except me, not til after the interview now thanks!)

DesperateDerlor · 08/06/2007 21:45

Hi everybody Mr derlor here, just updating you all for Mrs derlor as she's knackered but wants to say Hi and fill you all in

4.08ish Mrs derlor says phone the feckin hospital

4.10 MIL phoned to babysit

4.20 MIL arives to see Mrs derlor having contraction leaning on bonnet of our car.

4.20-4.35 Mr derlor drives likes maniac to get to hospital whilst mrs derlor has 2 minute apart contractions

4.35-4.40 Mr derlor sprints through hospital, to labour ward, pushing mrs derlor in wheelchair.

4.40 Mrs derlor arrives at labour ward whilst shouting for midwife and gas and air

4.45 In delivery room, midwife flapping and birthing pool filled ready to go

Mum and baby both doing great, dad a bit tired

Only just begining to sink in as it was so fast, both overjoyed.

lilKelBel · 08/06/2007 21:46

Hello! (hello, hello, hello -- echoes in empty room now that everyone has gone off to bed).

Alas, just me alone and my sleepless night full of little 1-oz feeds stretching out ahead of me. Sigh. It would make me mental with fatigue, but I just gaze at my little girl's face and melt.

Here's our postnatal thread btw - bookmark on your watchlist now, all you ladies in waiting! pn thread

Doggus, welcome back!! We missed you!! (((HUGS))) and it defo sounds like nesting! How exciting!

Hot curry, Hot chili, RLT, mango juice, reflexology, jiggy jiggy, long walks, scrubbing floors, lots of fresh pienapple and fresh mango.......
