I wish! Can't decide what I want more right now actually - the baby to come or malteser tiffin!

It's in the fridge now!

TA, I have given myself until this baby is born as a cut off point with regards to bad food so making the most of it. Besides, I think if you are going to have bad stuff it's better to have home made bad stuff!

I'm going to try making marslady's famous lemon drizzle cake before the LO is born. Mmmmmmmmm!

lilKelBel · 12/06/2007 15:06

hello! just lurking round your thread, waiting for you all to join us on PN thread! BZ, congratulations and at the speedy birth! WOW! I mean, mine was fast too, but that was a CS so doesn't count

sending big juicy labour vibes your way ladies!! (HUGS)

doggus · 12/06/2007 15:55

Many congrats to you Bad Zelda! Matilda is a lovely name, and another on our short list til my cousin nabbed it. I hope you are having a well deserved kip now with lo.

Today is rubbish - I have a long to-do list but can't be bothered as I am too hot. I've also got trapped wind which is excruciating. And I still have two and a half weeks to go....

riabutterflew · 12/06/2007 15:57

I have just got back from my nap. A parcel came (I think the delivery woman had giant cartoon fists), and the phone rang at least twice (DH seems to see how long he can leave it before answering). I did sleep well but still feel like poo. And now I have to cook as he can't do that with one hand either. Bollocks. And it will have to be passable food cos he'll be eating it. Two bollocks.

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 16:00

Funny isn't it, cos when our babies are born we very quickly adapt to doing absolutely everything one-handed, whilst holding newborn precariously with the other!

bumperlicious · 12/06/2007 16:14

Oh lord foxy, don't get me started on a how not to drop the baby paranoia!

hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:18

Goodness! What a day! I've missed all the birthing action!

Well done BZ, sounds like a fab labour! I love how you just took it in your stride! Matilda is a lovely name. Congrats to you and your dh x

Let me get this right, flight attendant is in labour and Trace and SFL are being induced today? Am I correct there? So we could have 4 babies in one day! Wow! Hope we get some news soon!

Hope everyone is well, I feel like shit. Really odd feeling in my tummy, sort of sicky and I've got terrible backache, maybe it's a sign. It might just be my horrid lumpy mattress making my back hurt and the heat making me feel sick! That is prob more likely!

Bumper, we all do it at least once . And we smack their little heads into the door posts by accident too when we are carrying them in the crook of our arm ouch!

And we forget to strap them into their car seats. Or we forget to strap the car seats into the car.

Or we forget to strap them into their car seats, pick up said car seat without the handle locked and tip them onto the hard kitchen floor at 6 weeks old. We then have hysterics down the phone to our DPs and spend the rest of our lives wondering if everything is our fault because we dropped them on their heads when they were tiny babies.

IME

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 16:19

We thought you were being a bit quiet Holly. Perhaps you are having a baby. It is going to happen at some point you know!

hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:20

Oh the smacking of the little head on the doorpost! How many times have I done that? I do it even now! Oh and hitting their heads on the car when you put them in their car seat!

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:22

Yeah I know it'll happen soon foxy, but I'm a bit confused as to how it all starts, having been induced with my dd. I'm quite resigned to the fact it is going to be late, so if it does come early I shall faint with shock!! Oh and pain !

OP posts:
foxybrown · 12/06/2007 16:34

Hmm, I know. Its getting a bit real now isn't it? I'm not sure I can remember what to do with a newborn. Am hoping that it'll all come back to me.

I have a sense that I just haven't thought this through .

Am shitting myself, truth be told. Not about the labour, but life afterwards.

hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:41

I'm shitting myself about losing my rag with my dd because of lack of sleep. I'm really not good with lack of sleep...hmmmm...why did I have babies?!

OP posts:
justbeme · 12/06/2007 16:43

Surely no 4 is going to be easy Foxy isnt it?? You must have the hang of all this by now??
Ive forgotten everything 12 years down the line..

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 16:43

I can't decide if its more effort to stop my kids playing in the mud slide they have just created, or to clean up afterwards

DD was telling me she doesn't want to be a mummy when she's big today (she's only 2.5, so plenty of time to work on her). DS2 told her 'but you get loads of chocolate'. Am questioning the example I am setting my children

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 16:44

I just don't know JBM. Its getting everything to work and making it happen at the right time isn't it?

hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:48

Yes, mummies do get loads of chocolate! I have just eaten a chocolate brownie cheesecake slice, it was yum! Unfortunately they come in packs of 2, bollocks, I'll have to eat another one later!

I'm sure it's all going to come back to us and we'll be fab, all knowing mums!!

The mudslide sounds fun foxy, can I come over to yours?!

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 12/06/2007 16:49

Lol @ foxy's DS!

hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:51

Shit, dp has just phoned me and told me that one of his friends is going to be here at 5! Crap, fuck, wank! He is fit and I look a mess and my house is a shit tip! I've fancied this friend for years and we haven't seen him since we moved from woking before I got pg with dd. I have somewhat let myself go since the last time he saw me! He's in for a shock!

OP posts:
justbeme · 12/06/2007 16:53

yes but you love your DP so much now Holly that you dont even look at another man? Right?!

hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:55

Yep that's right jbm!!!

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 12/06/2007 16:55

Spose I'd best brush my hair and put on a t-shirt without egg all down it! I'm such a slattern!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 12/06/2007 16:56

perhaps he's one of those men who find heavily pg women incredibly sexy?

shit, I should have stopped the mud slide game!

justbeme · 12/06/2007 16:56

dont forget a bit of perfume.....

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 16:57

ha ha ha! And did you eat egg today?
